jendela how good is sleepytime tea! We have both vanilla and original and the kids drink it every night as it gets colder. I like it to wind down too. I turned off the shower timer tonight too and had a bit extra hot water. Divine! Dentists definitely can be scary. I only went because the broken tooth is so bad that it is affecting my health. So congratulations on making that appointment desi! And yay haircut reb!!

jendela: herbal teas to relax are so goood, thanks for reminding me! I will get some chamomille tea today. reb: sorry to hear that you didn't like the haircut. Hope that you'll find a better place for next time. needmorecoffee: hot water at the end of the day really is a true luxury! Today I am taking care of me by going to the hairdresser. I am also getting a new battery for my pedometer so I can start counting steps again, every day.

I bought a pair of slip on shoes that I can take off to drive easily and have no laces to get stuff stuck on since I rarely tie my shoes.

Hi needmorecoffee - I love my sleepytime tea, but it has to be the original, although I have tried a sinus soothing blend once that was pretty good. I hope that you can get that tooth fixed so that it doesn't keep causing you trouble. Hi reb, I had my hair done last week, and feel much the same as you do, however at least the grey is gone for a while. I know that someone once posted a link to a site showing how to cut your own hair, but I couldn't see the system working for me & my type of hair. Happy to see if I can find the link again if you are interested. desi - hope that you enjoy your hairdressing appointment. lostchild - great that you have got a pair of shoes to suit your lifestyle, from the girl with too many shoes she cant wear because they hurt. (The shoe project is one of my agenda items.) Another sleepytime tea for me tonight

Today to take care of myself, the weather is good so I think I will try to do an extra block of dog walking and a bit of fun training.

Got outside to find it pouring rain and the Drama Prince hates downpours. Ah well, perhaps tomorrow when the cookies won't get soggy and a bit o' indoor fun

I went upstairs and put on my sweater instead of suffering with cold arms. I get to enjoy and use the lovely sweater that my DH made for me, instead of it being unused and extra stuff.

Today I bought myself a eye makeup palette and brushes so I can teach myself how to wear eye makeup. I am gradually replacing all of my makeup that is expiring or that I don't have.
Usually because we are African American to let my daughter play makeup I have to buy real makeup. The play stuff is made for Caucasian coloring so if she uses it she looks like a weird ghost.
The shades are too light for her coloring and I want her to get used to colors that look good on her thus real makeup has to be bought to play in.

Today I accepting the offer of Dinner out with my sweetie instead of playing the martyr and saying "No I have to stay home and keep cleaning", or "we can't afford it" or whatever! He invited me out so I just need to say yes then find something to wear.

I bought something which I am sure I absolutely do not need and will raise eyebrows at work. I bought a bracelet it is a cuff type bracelet made to look like anatomically correct femurs linked together (5 of them). It is not wide and has the shape of a regular bangle type cuff. It is silver looking. I bought it at a Goth shop in Etsy to be shipped from Poland.
Since I am not planning on going Goth why the bracelet. Well my orthopedic surgeon is after me to loose weight so what did I do when I got sick with pneumonia and the back problem - gained weight. He said my femur bones and knees need to me be as lean as possible and down to my ideal body weight. I am ambi but I usually use my silverware in the right hand so I am going to put that bangle on my right wrist where it can remind me to eat healthy and portion control.
I should not need a reminder but I have been just eating and then going Doh. So I am going back to counting calories and planning meals and I thought this would be a good reminder for me and when someday when I am down to where I need to be and dancing around I will either keep it as a remember or give it to my orthopedic surgeon as a reminder of all he did for me.

I woke up and felt like I had been in a car crash: aches and pains everywhere and dead tired. Today I will take care of myself by doing my ayurveda massage and taking a warm bath, go for a slow walk and be kind to myself.
