Thanks for all the support and encouragement. I'm not at zero yet. I'm maybe at a 1 or 1.5, but I'm getting there. This weekend will be my first real test as, I don't have all day to clean. I have to work, and work a lot. I'm not going to be able to get anything done before work, but I'm going to try to throw in a load of laundry and then work when I get home.
My anxiety level has gone down significantly. Clean surfaces and floors (they aren't all clean but there are spots) really do help to clear the mind.
I'm off to work now, but I'm writing it down here to hold myself accountable for at least 2 15 minute cleaning blocks when I get home.

Clean and clear surfaces and floors give a good impression too. Just putting things straight makes a room look better, for example books in a straight line with their spines all facing the same way.
It is good to hear that you are much less anxious.

I am brand new to SOS and I read your crisis cleaning posts like a cliffhanger mystery thriller...I held my breath, I cheered, I am so excited to find others for whom digging out of a mess crisis is understandable and worth sharing and cheering on!! hello tribe, I'm home
