I have a 13-year-old son on the autism spectrum. He's in the kids' program at church, and he happened to mention that when they talk about things that please God, keeping one's room clean is mentioned. His room is actually rather neat, bed just needs made...but at least he's keeping his stuff in their containers rather than spilling it!
Which spurs me to keep stuff neat in the rest of our apartment.

This Worked! I'm going to type it out and laminate it for DD's room as she found it super helpful.

dayeanu, never rule out the possibilities that can be obtained by a judiciously applied blowtorch.... hummmmmm. Of course IF I actually purged my closet, stuff might acquire a true home, but let's not push it here... meanwhile...about that blowtorch.... Last night I shared my bed with supplies for a sewing project. They were at the foot of the bed and they really didn't hog the covers. They were much more accommodating than some people I have shared a bed with. ROFL! I always tend to kick anything left on the bed onto a heap on the floor.
