I did eight minutes while my frozen pizza cooked. Armed with a roll of paper towels and a bottle of Sparkle I spritzed and polished this and that and the other and made myself keep going for the whole eight. Yay me! I'm done for the night now, though. I'm whipped. Awesome, stevie - but don't you feel proud of yourself?!?

Just took a micro fiber cloth and water and cleaned both bathroom mirrors with ease. Didn't want to waste a clean cloth so I applied a little dishwashing soap and washed the sinks. 8 minutes Daye, there is something about your 8 minutes that is magical!

I'm done for the night now, though. I'm whipped. Awesome, stevie - but don't you feel proud of yourself?!? I did indeed! I ran errands this morning and just spent a couple of hours doing yard work...pulling weeds and faffing around outside isn't a chore for me like house work is. FINALLY it is warming up and I can plant my vegetable garden soon! My first attempt at an asparagus bed was planted last spring and I just raked the winter mulch off and, tada! Cute little asparagus spears are emerging. But I digress. Am going to run to the store and buy myself a steak. Haven't really eaten yet today and I am really hungry. In between returning from the store and eating I hereby pledge to do at least one eight-minute blitz. larataylor, I'm taking the entire weekend off from work so I'm sure I'll be popping in...hope you join us after you've had somerest!

I ended up doing 11 8-minute sessions, not all. at once, and not all in the kitchen. I did some in my bedroom. Now I'm going to bed!

Cleaned the toilet seat with clorox wipes…you can get a lot done in 8 minutes using these. I've been using Clorox wipes (or Lysol wipes) at my job. They're great. I've never used them at home because I'm not so germ-phobic at home, and they didn't seem thrifty. I have a lot of cloths that I use, and laundry buckets in the kitchen and bathroom.

Cleaned the toilet seat with clorox wipes…you can get a lot done in 8 minutes using these. Wet wipes for different purposes are great for cleaning. I think they are what saved me from living in complete filth when I was too sick to do a "proper" cleaning. I used them for everything: the toilet, the sink, mirrors, , removed finger prints from painted areas like the doors and I always cleaned the windows with wet wipes for glass. I gave a few packs to my grandmother who at that time was too frail to do anything but surface cleaning. She frowned at the idea that her home should be cleaned with tiny wet wipes - she came from an era when cleaning involved buckets full of hot water, a stiff brush, lots of liquid soap and hard manual labour. But she started to use them and ended up loving them. She was so happy that she had found an easy way to clean her house herself and keep all surfaces fresh. "I can even clean the bathroom and windows now!" she would say. (My mother would deep clean the bathroom the old fashioned way every week and help her with the rest of the house too.) TL;DR: I can higly recommend wet wipes to people who have a hard time cleaning.

Hmmm, now y'all have me thinking about picking up some wet wipes. I've never used them. I've gotten over my green/thriftyness lately and have been buying (and using) paper towels by the bale.
Anyhow - did two 8 minute sessions this morning! Swept bathroom, kitchen, mud room and living room floors, did dishes, wiped down random surfaces, put laundry away, stripped bed and turned the mattress, did a little tidying up in the bathroom.

You did all that in 16 minutes!!? You must work at the speed of light!
