I am going to try to clean one thing every I go to the restroom
Going to start with restroom. One thing for me equals toilet or sink or tub, wipe mirror, sweep floor, mop floor.
So in six bathroom trips it will be done!
That's my slow and steady approach because I have severe anemia which means very low energy coupled with bad demand resistance. I figure over time it will add up and I will gain endurance to do more rather than just letting it all keep on building.
Lucky for me there is no clutter in bathroom because it's shared.
Anybody want to join in?
My one rule so that we can all discuss how the same strategy is working for us on this particular thread is it must be one item of any size conquered per each time you do one particular thing you do a few times a day

I like it! It's simple and not overwhelming. I'm in!

I cleaned my sink which was the easiest. It still has some slightly stained bits but its clean and ready to use and I used my favorite purple cleaner and it smells so good in there now! I sprayed the toilet and I'm letting it sit for the next round. I should probably use cleaner but I'm just gonna use the all purpose cleaner for now. I can always cleanser later.

Back in the bathroom so soon! This time it's the toilet I need to clean. I smell cat smell in the house, ugh. Determined before it's the anal glands from the cats being rough. Ugh! Going to clean toilet and obviously it's not from toilet but makes me feel better! Not gonna post this til I clean.
Not sure if I will count inside toilet as one job and outside as another or get enough mojo to do both once motivation follows action.

Whoops I posted! My sink looks great and is inspiring me. Ok the toilet has a ring around it but I cleaned the majority of it. It's definitely a two trip item to clean inside and outside. I was going to clean tub too but there is one poop in there from roommates cat that I'm going to make him clean. I originally wanted his cat but now I don't. My cat is 100 percent litter box only and she obviously is not.

Woke up from sleep, exhausted and tired, still gave toilet another swipe and wiped down side of tub. Feeling more powerful. Back to sleep!

Thanks immaculata!
Funny I have no memory of above post or waking up earlier!!!!
This might be a good way to track my sleep patterns too!
Woke up again at four am. Really didn't want to do anything, had good reason not to (four am!).
But I wiped down side of tub again and folded my towel nice and cleaned part of walls.
Bathroom looks halfway decent and shiny now cause it's halfway done!
Much better than waking up tomorrow to the same old mess!

Sometimes, blackswan, this is the way that I put away my clean dishes.
Every time that I make a trip into the kitchen for any reason (e. g. to get a drink of water, etc.), I put away another dish or two. (I make sure that my hands are clean, of course, before handling the clean dishes!) That way, they either all are put away or, at least, most of them are put away before I'm ready to wash up the next batch of dirty dishes.

Thanks for bumping this for me, I just came to search for it!
I was at my moms for a few days but I want to start this back up now that I'm back at home. I'm gonna do double time: one item before bathroom and one item on way back!
It makes a BIG difference what little efforts can do, it was shocking to me how well it worked!

I fought Le Resistance and I cleaned up trash in my room before going to bathroom and I cleaned sink and mirror and brought in the broom for the next trip. Crazy thing: after living here 8 months and my sister living here at least a year before me, I just discovered we have a medicine cabinet! The mirror looked to close to the wall to have one and there was a utility shelf on the wall that I thought took the place of a medicine cabinet. While cleaning the mirror for the first time ever (obviously, and surprisingly it wasn't that bad at all) I could feel that it was a door and we do have a medicine cabinet! My roommate had a couple of things in there. I should say: why didn't you ever tell me we have a medicine cabinet?!!! But then I will look crazier than I do . There is a singular Lincoln log of cat poop in the tub (his cat not mine) and we are having another standoff battle of The Great Cat Sh@&@@ Wars! We both obviously have another place to shower at so it hasn't been done. Later I will bless myself and clean it and clean my tub. My son made fun of me when I told him the roommate and I had gotten into a standoff before over the litter boxes, he said: is this what your life has come to?!" . I won't let it! On one of these trips to the bathroom (ok I will commit darn it) on the next trip to the bathroom I will scoop the litter boxes and the bathtub and take the poop trash out as my big task.

Ten years ago, we spent a ton of money remodeling our main (upstairs) bathroom. My husband's mother had passed away and left us some money. We took a three-week cruise to Hawaii and remodeled our bathroom. We told the contractor to make everything easy to clean. He suggested an outwardly- curved shower curtain rod , since it would give us extra space when using the tub. Also easy-to-clean wall tiles. Things like that. Anyhow, having spent so much money on a "palatial" bathroom, I have pretty much managed to keep it clean ever since. When I shower, I spray "Scrubbing Bubbles" bathroom cleaner along the tub enclosure. I empty the wastebasket daily. Wet towels get washed regularly. It is the (only) best-kept room in our house. It's a pleasure to go in there several times a day and see nothing dirty or needing attention.
