now i am supposed to log my monthly income - since 2005! i can't do it. cc did you file income tax? If you did and still have the tax forms, you could divide your reported income for each year by 12 and kind of massage the monthly amount up and down to fit the total reported.

Oh Tannenbaum, oh tannenbaum...whe-e-e-e-re have you gone!
One Christmas tree down and put away. Ornaments put away. Coloured lights hung over piano still up...I like that look!
I don't think I'll put a tree up next year (oops, this year!), just go with greenery and candles. I can just chuck the greenery in the fireplace afterwards. Simplicity itself!
Thanks for this prompt. Next procrastination item is a box of antique collectibles to sift, sort, or save!

6/7 polished my fingernails This is a biggie for me, as I tend to neglect self-care. I'm clean, clothes are clean, but hairstyle/makeup/nail polish - I tend to just ignore it.

This thread motivated me to register today! I've lurked on the board for probably five years, because I wanted my name, avatar, quotes, etc. to be "just right". I figured it was time to quit procrastinating, and just do it!

Oh boy, another thread I started and abandoned. The last time I did a procrastination item was May 26th. That means I'm 3 weeks behind, so during the next 4 days (slow paid work days, FINALLY) I will catch up and do 3 things plus something for this week. I already know what the first thing is, it's kind of gross and embarrassing but I'll report it tomorrow, after I do it. I will also catch up on what everyone else has done. Diane

Okay, I have now caught up with what everyone is doing, and I'm so happy that people are actually finding this thread useful! Glitter, WELCOME to posting, I hope you continue! Mynicehome, I love Christmas decorations so much that I'm always tempted to purposely leave them up, except then they would not be "special" when the holiday rolls around again the next year. I have always wanted to figure out a place to have some lights up year round though--except that I think they would be blue instead of multi-color. CreativeChaos, have you finished that paperwork yet? That's an important one! Oh, and if you look at the website Calendars.com, they usually show all 12 months' pictures so you can see what you're buying. I must admit I save a lot of the calendars although I used to save ALL of them, so baby steps--I AM able to get rid of some of them now. So, this morning I did two procrastination items. The gross one involves vomit. My bedroom has the bed in the middle, the door on one side, then on the other side of the bed is the closet, 2 dressers and the little stairs and storage bin that my cats use to get up on the bed (one cat has 3 legs, the other is old and arthritic). I don't go on the other side of the bed every day. A while ago (at least 2 weeks, probably longer) I went over there for something and saw that a cat had vomited onto the storage bin, dribbling down the side, spattered on the stairs, and in a puddle on the floor. I said "oh, look--vomit. I have to clean that up." Then I promptly forgot about it. A couple of days later I went on that side again and saw it again. Instead of stopping what I was doing and cleaning it up right away, I repeated the above 5 or 6 more times. During my recent busy work weeks I just didn't have the energy to scrape and soak and get it all cleaned up. So, this morning I did it, and it's counting as item #1. Item number 2 was securing my watch band so that I don't lose the watch. I have a cheap watch but it has a metal band with links, and for a while now two of the links are separating and every time I see it I think it's going to come apart and the watch will fall off and I won't notice it right away. So today I took some dental floss, tied it around the two links in the area that's hidden, and it's now secure again. There's a little knot showing but I don't care. I have many other possible items to choose from so I will catch up soon! Diane

I did another procrastination item last night. A long time ago, I got a new cable box, which required changing around the plugs behind my tv stand. There weren't enough outlets, so I unplugged a little extension cord that I thought was just for a light-up Halloween decoration, which I really don't light up very often. But a few weeks ago when I decided I wanted to read after it was already getting dark, I realized it was also the cord for my little reading lamp near the loveseat. So for the last few weeks I've had two extension cords attached together, running straight across the LR and sunporch so that I could read at night. Last night I finally moved the stand again, put a couple of plugs into an outlet extender, and plugged my extension cord back in. I now have light by the loveseat, and was able to take away the extension cord that ran across my LR floor. Diane

Let there be light! That was my procrastination item this evening too, Diane. I've had a 12 foot ladder sitting in the hallway for about a month. Tonight, I changed out the lights in the three fixtures, and miracle of miracles, the hallway isn't dark anymore! Put the ladder back in the garage where it belongs, and now I can see that the hallway floor is in serious need of sweeping and mopping.

Today I made an extremely difficult phone call. Tomorrow I will clear the other side of the bed. Or not. If not that then something else. I have so much procrastinating to choose from ...

I have so much procrastinating to choose from ... Yes, I think most of us will not have any trouble finding something--we'll just have trouble DOING it! Diane

Today I made an extremely difficult phone call. Tomorrow I will clear the other side of the bed. Or not. If not that then something else. I have so much procrastinating to choose from ... WTG! sparkle. Great job on making that phone call. Im in the same boat with so much procrastinating to choose from. dtesposito great work on cleaning up the kitty vomit. Ive been cleaning up some of that too lately. Zenkitty has bern very "helpful" by depositing her hair balls right in the middle of floor, where i need to step to get in and out of the bed. Its a tight soace and i still manage to procrasinate on it. i finally did my procrasination item from a few weeks ago. I finally mowed the lawn the other day. I need to weed whack still. Its been raining every day and things are very wet here. I dont want to run the extension cord through the wet grass. So it will happen someday or i might just take hand clippers out and do it. last night was cleaning the kitchen and decided to start with the overfloing counter. There is a five pound bag of apples i bought last week. If i leave them sitting there, they go bad very quickly. So i decided to dig through the handwash hamper and pull out the produce storage bags that have been in there. For the past year. Washed them and hung them up to dry. Now i can put the apples in the produce bag so they dont go bad before i use them.
