I got the garbage hauled down the road and then swung by the post office to drop my mortgage payment in the mail and discovered that they have changed the once daily pick up time from 2:30 to 1:30 and it was about 2 PM so it won't even leave my little burg until tomorrow. Then I took a nap. I think that I just have to accept the fact that since I generally only manage to sleep about 5 hours overnight I'm going to wind up napping, given half a chance. I didn't think to check the laundry before I sat down and dozed off so it's still not dry, started the dryer running again. Whatever caused the machine to become very hot a while back seems to have self corrected, not overheating now.
Temps are cooling down outside and there is some cloud cover to the west so I'm going out to do some patrolling and maybe run the walk behind mower to vacuum up the long stuff that was cut yesterday.

I did get the patrolling done but no mowing. I was feeling light headed and nauseous, probably from the heat coupled with the fact that I had not eaten anything today so I came and fixed a plate of leftovers and managed to eat a bit of that. The laundry is finally dry and I'll get that put away next.

Calypso, I hope you're cool and comfortable inside now. Every time I'm out I have to take at least an hour and sometimes two of sitting still before I feel like I can do anything at all.
Well, that last list took a long time because I had a long challenge post to write. I can't believe it's almost 7:30 already, where did this day go! I'm going to eat dinner and then make another list.

Decided to do a little work in the office, there was a small box of supplies that I'd brought in from the garage last week and it was time to get it put away. It had index cards and post its, etc and one ancient air mail envelope. I was about to toss the envelope because I thought that it was glued shut but it was not. In it was $500.00 cash that I had thought went missing or I had in fact spent about 4 years ago when I had some guys working for me building the big equipment shed and they wanted to be paid in cash every day. I don't want to think about how many hours I spend looking for it over and over again. WOW. Just WOW.
I guess the moral of the story is that sometimes it really pays to clean up and put away stuff.

See!! Another person finding money while decluttering! Why can't that ever happen to me?? I'm glad you found it though, and yes, cleaning does pay off sometimes! I've done all my evening stuff and am getting to bed, I made a schedule change with my relief walker so tomorrow I only have one afternoon walk! But it's going to be several degrees hotter than it was today. Yuck! Good night to everyone, I'll see you (hopefully) bright and early tomorrow! Diane

I did my grocery shopping in the nearest shop, then did a load of laundry and mopped floors. It is 11 am and I feel tired and hungry and it is not lunch time yet.
I have done all chores for today, I am going out with my niece in the afternoon. If it is not raining though.

Good morning lucie! It sounds like you woke up nice and early today--have fun with your niece this afternoon! I managed to get up at 5 this morning, which I was happy about. I've showered and had breakfast and fed the cats and have put in a load of laundry. I might try to do a second one today, so I can use the building dryer for the towels and sheets. I never did finish all the dishes yesterday so that's on the list for today too. I only have one walk at 5:30 so no excuses for not getting lots done today. Even though it's going to be extra hot and humid. Put dry dishes from yesterday away Empty and clean dishpan and start more dishes soaking Balance checkbook Pay some bills online Delete 5 difficult emails I hope everyone has a wonderful day today! Hi! I had to earn money in the morning for a change. I have done my 3b morning routine ( breakfast, bed, bathroom), had lunch and did the basic digital decluttering. Not sure what will be later. I have a tiny headache and may try to fit in a walk, weather permitting.

Hello flotsam! Don't you hate when paid work gets in the way of doing things at home? I hope your walk will clear your headache. Next: Take compost & garbage outside Look around yard for missing compost spade Diane

Hi Diane, I especially don't like it when my routines are messed up. But on the whole it's quite relaxed right now. I've vacuumed, done the dishes and some project work. There are still a lot of grey clouds, but it doesn't seem to be raining (also no rain predicted), so I guess I'll be brave and go out. I hope you'll find the spade!

So funny--when I went out a few days ago to show the new neighbor where the compost bin was and to explain how to use it, the spade was missing. I looked around in obvious places but didn't see it. Today I was going to look on porches and in the basement in case someone used it and put it back some odd place. Well, it was back where it belonged. So at least I don't have to buy a replacement! And, the new neighbor is using the bin--yay! That makes 3 of us now, out of 13 apartments. Next: Wash some dishes Collect cat food dishes PEEP both desks Diane
