I've seen this book, written by James Wallman, recommended a time or two lately.
Has anyone here read it?
It sounds like it might be something that would be helpful for many of us.

Never heard of the book, but I am suffering from the condition! Love the term.

The name of it reminds me of a TV special I saw years ago called "Affluenza." I think both of them, if left untreated, can be fatal maladies!

Me too!
I can honestly say right now I have an actual physical sensation of being squished by the stuff. It is tangible.

This thread has spurred me to wonder again if a book review thread could be set up in General and listed in the scroll bar. Each book we discover could have a separate thread for our reviews. We would know where to go and guests could also receive book suggestions without having to register if they are not ready.

I haven't heard of the book before this but I googled it. The author has an interesting website dedicated to this concept. Here is the link for those of you that are interested: stuffocation.org/.

Arid, I downloaded the book this week and have read a couple chapters. It's very interesting and very good. I believe everyone could benefit from the read. Thanks for the recommendation! Pony

Not sure if this is what you meant, mynicehome, but it could be in the listing on the main page: Introductions General Board Books and ReviewsListzilla Public Blogs Technical Help Or should it be in the "Private" section? Photos Private Blogs Byways Books and Reviews

Hi moonglow. Yes, I like the idea a lot too. Just the way you indicated. I'd be leaning toward putting it in General only so unregistered guests could use it too. However, there may be elements of privacy required in the reviews, so Private may be indicated. I'd like to see it in either division. Our reviews are growing and new books keep cropping up. I think it could be a valuable resource for a long time.
I'm going to call on Celeste to take a look at your post, Moonglow. (Right above this one, Celeste.)

I believe there is already a book thread in favorites; not sure. General is the place to go. If someone has something private relative to a book, et al, it can go into their blogs, or into a new thread in Byways.

What's truly nifty about 'Stuffocation' is that the book is so current.
