Then PEEPing and then just relaxing the rest of the evening.

It was not my intention to take a nap this afternoon, just to take a cool down break in my bedroom which is the coolest room in the house because it only gets a little early morning sun. I crashed hard and only woke up a short while ago, all fuzzy headed, which is what happens when I nap so late in the afternoon. I'll get the dogs fed their evening meal and then see if I can put in some more time upstairs since I most likely will not be able to sleep until rather late.

I got interrupted by a call from my decluttering client, so I didn't finish my last list--but something is really wacky with the Weather Channel site. For the past few days when I click on the 10-day forecast, it's 2 days behind--so today it says "tonight" but refers to Saturday night, followed by Sunday and Monday as though they hadn't happened yet. And even weirder, the first screen that tells you the temperature says it's 20 degrees!! I know today is cooler but it's not 20 degrees. I'm going to have to choose another weather site because I'm not going to believe anything they say now! Now I'll PEEP in the DR and restock drinks. Diane

I just saw an article that the Weather Underground was taking over The Weather Channel as of 6 pm Eastern today: www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/comment.html?entrynum=3084So that may be the reason for the wacky reports, change often results in some temporary chaos.

You all are doing super!!!
Because I am in need of a little socialization as I do things, I would like to join this happy and productive group. I don't mind being alone. It's just that sometimes, it is so nice to have someone to say something to or hear how their day is going. I think it may also have the added benefit of helping me to stay motivated, and keep going.
Today, I went to the gym to meet with the trainer, I am doing it as rehab, so I go easy when I get home. Before I left I made my bed. I stopped to the grocery store on my way home, got some blueberries for smoothies and a ready made salad to eat tonight. I ate a smoothie and washed the dishes. I decluttered and found about few things to throw away and a few more to donate.
I read a bit then ate my salad. I will relax a bit.

Calypso, thanks for that info, I noticed over the weekend that the forecasts were lagging behind, but the 20 degrees was really bizarre! I did doublecheck to make sure I was on the right city.
Truffle, it looks like you had another productive day, enjoy your ice cream!
Vyaspigeon, you're very lucky to be able to work with a trainer--I did weights workouts for several years (not with a trainer, self-trained) and enjoyed them SO much. I've tried many times to get back into them but I keep having aches and pains--I would love a trainer to be able to tell me if I'm now doing something wrong, or if I really do have to give them up now. I suspect I might have rheumatoid arthritis, and I'm hoping that means having to adjust the way I work with weights, not giving them up altogether. I'm just not ready to say I can't do them anymore, they helped me so much in so many ways.
So, I guess my advice is, take advantage of the gym while you can--resistance exercise builds muscle and improves your general balance and strength. The weight loss aspect is secondary, although it's important too. But there's such a sense of accomplishment as you can see and feel yourself improving.
I'm glad you're still finding items that you can donate!

I stopped to make a veggie/bean/rice mix using a bag of frozen veggies and a small beans and rice frozen dinner--can't get any easier than that! I ate some of it and put the rest away in the fridge. Also talked briefly to my sister.

Shuffled some boxes so that I could get the two pieces of furniture moved around. Vac'd the corner that I couldn't get to before. It's starting to come together. Threw the sheets and quilt from the twin bed up there into the wash. I have several huge bolts of 56" wide fabric on big cardboard tubes and I gotta figure out what to do with those. They are too tall to prop up in the corner since the upstairs has are fairly narrow full ceiling height with sloping ceilings down to the side walls and where they meet the wall it is only four ft high. It's fabric that I got for just $5.00 for the entire bolt and they each must have at least 20 yards. (Don't ask). Most, if not all of it, will probably get donated, simply because it's the easiest thing to do with all of it.
I think I'm done for the evening after I go back up and turn off lights and carry down a couple of small things.

Good night calypso, I'm glad you got more done this evening. I've been watching your total hours in your hours thread and I'm rooting for you to make 30 again!
I'm all ready for bed now, hopefully I'll be able to get up early for the train to my sister's. I won't be home until mid-afternoon, so I'll catch up then.
Good night everyone!

As I feared sleep was not easy to come by after that big nap yesterday. I turned the light out at 1 am after reading a bit of The Best of Charles deLint. I'd forgotten how much I like his stories. Tossed and turned until 2:30 and gave up. Moved to my recliner and turned on the TV and watched for an hour or so and finally fell asleep. Awoken at 5:30 by one of the dogs needing to go out. It's chilly out, around 56 degrees and in the house the temp is down to 65 with lots of doors and windows open. We've got a dry, sunny day in store and I should get outside to do some yard work but that's not what I'm feeling inclined to do. Maybe after everyone has been fed and I'm cleaned up and dressed that will change. Just drinking my coffee seems like a big enough challenge right now.
Diane - a train ride, that's something I haven't done in more than 40 years. Hope it is fun.
Vyaspigeon - Yes, please, join us any time you want to. Having others to work along with is the name of the game and it really does help.

Wow - everyone has been moving along. Babysteps, PEEPing, whatever it takes to get it done!
My cup of coffee is tasting so delicious - I might have to make another!
Did not get much done in my room. I did find the shoes I needed for today. I got some clothes put away. I found where the toothpaste tube got stepped on and where the pile of toothpaste is - and it esplains why the dog had toothpaste on his ear......
Back at it today......

Good morning 53F here, Diane! High of 65F! Been AWOL here lately - just didn't feel like posting. Sorry. My street is still a construction zone. We can hardly get to our houses. I'm glad my house is not listed right now. I've done: some sorting and boxing more stuff up. The ROOM is still not empty. organizing out in the garage balanced my checkbook Sorting and purging old papers, too. Found a bunch of old credit cards and other cards. Started cutting them into pieces. ugh Today I want to: * wash dishes * sort more paper so I can put a FULL bag out on Thursday morning * pay my electric/water bill * clear off kitchen table * pack another box
