Good morning! Another gorgeous cool morning here, the high will only be in the mid-70s later.
Diane - about how long do you actually walk with the dogs when you walk them?
Ohblondie, my current policy is to spend 40 minutes on the visit--so if the dog is easy to collect we walk almost the whole time, if it takes longer at the beginning or end of the walk then the walk itself is a little less. For example, sometimes I get there and the leash isn't where it's supposed to be and I have to look around for it. Or, the dog is on the second floor in a crate so I have to go upstairs, let the dog out of the crate, and at the end, leave time to get treats and put the dog back into the crate.
I've actually been thinking of changing the visit at 30 minutes instead of 40, because most of the dog walk services around here are 20-30 minutes AND they usually charge more than I do. I haven't raised my fee in the 6 years I've been doing this, and because of my arthritis and other aches and pains, I would rather keep the fee the same but lower the amount of time I walk. I could always walk longer than 30 minutes if I have the time and nothing is hurting me, and the weather is good, the dog is enjoying the walk, etc. It's time for me to make up new cards soon anyway, so I'm probably going to do that.

Good morning Yesterday was cold windy and cloudy. I did not do much. The sun is shining today, no wind, and supposed to be warmer. Still need to wash dishes, clear off the kitchen table, cut up more old credit cards, and I think I'll do some painting (inside and out) today since there's no rain in the forecast.

Struggling to get moving today, my phone is mostly busted, but still works to recieve calls, and I can almost read texts and of course it connects my computer to the internet, but the screen is done for, which made my morning less than interesting.
First tasks are to make breakfast and coffee, take meds Swap Laundry and wash a batch of dishes

Despite my late start, I was able to prepare for and conduct a very productive interview for work. Then I made a yummy breakfast, PEEPED the living room, staged and took photos to upload to an online club I belong to, called my sick neighbor to check on her, and put parental controls on the TVs since we just switched cable providers.
Next: - supervise a helper coming to help me file papers - upload the photos I took this morning to my online club - load my vitamin box - pick up my CSA share

DIANE - these are old, old credit cards that I never even used. There's about 20 or 25, I'd guess. Years ago, I'd get them in the mail all the time after I applied for ONE credit card after my divorce. I don't believe in spending money I don't have, so I never used them. Just threw them in a drawer. Eventually they stopped sending them. I happy to say that I have no debts. chocolatetruffle, let us know what veggies you got in your CSA box. So far, I've watered and deadheaded my outdoor plants, cleaned and refilled the birdbath, and ate breakfast.

dtesposito..I think 30 mins is very fair for a dog walk. that is plenty of time for the necessary "business" as well as time for the dogs to burn off some energy!

sue5000 - wow, you have a great outlook. I need to adopt that. "I don't believe in spending money I don't have." That really resonated with me. Thank you so much. I really needed those words today. I made my bed. I finished a book. I didn't like the ending. Now to get busy: Vacuum living room and family room see how much trash I can get rid of. I would like to make the exercise bike accessible get it out from between the dresser and end table in the family room. make and eat lunch

Did some vacuuming and scrubbing which needed to be done before priming and painting. Windows open and fans on to help the scrubbed areas dry faster.
Ate lunch and now feel like a nap. But I don't want to screw up my sleep pattern, so I won't. I'll work on my kitchen table and wash dishes.
Trash day is tomorrow, so I'm going to get that ready, too.
This afternoon I'm going to the grocery store for some boxes.

Continued picking up trash, clothes and stuff from bedroom floor so now I can reach my desk also. About 25% ofthe bedroom floor visible right now! I didn't have a timer on this time or a stopwatch but had lots of energy to reach todays goal I've noticed I've started to feel better when I'm seeing improvements and less depressed for the moment. Hoping my energy and good feelings will make me keep going and doing something every day. Yesterday I filled my closet with clothes. So happy I can use it again! Keep on going everyone! You're doing great work!
