"pink Pyrex flamingo round casserole baking dish" chocolatetruffle, nice find!! When I was a kid, my mom had the 8 oz. ones. We sometimes used them for cereal. I collect vintage tablecloths, but only have about 7 or 8. WOW I'd love to see your huge collection! Can you post a photo of just a stack of your tablecloths? (Don't unfold them just for me!) 1rarebeautifuldove, WTG on getting trash out and all your walking today! Sounds like you had a very peaceful nature walk. I painted til my hand hurt. Went back to the grocery store and got 4 nice boxes. (I went yesterday, but it was the wrong day.) Mowed some lawn. Took a few bags of weeds and sticks out to the city compost. I'm done for the day. Got a frozen dinner in the microwave.

1rarebeautifuldove , My feelings would have been hurt if I'd been left behind on that walk! I agree with Diane that they were rude. Or perhaps just thoughtless. Thank you for reminding us to appreciate our loved ones! I am an introvert and need lots of alone time, but I would be very lonely indeed without my family. dtesposito, I like how you have the habit of getting lists and banking, etc. ready for the next day. I need to do more of that! Then there's no scrambling around in the morning trying to get organized. sue5000, I will post some tablecloth pictures for you in Byways. Got through a thick folder of car-related paperwork. My helper pre-sorted piles of filing into about 10 or 12 different categories that require further refinement by me. It took me half an hour to get each paper filed from that one folder, and I didn't like it one little bit, but I put on some Netflix on my laptop and just powered through it.

I had to eat plain ol' vanilla ice cream for dessert! I ran out of chocolate syrup and forgot to buy some. Diane, doesn't hanging your laundry inside make your apartment humid? I'm going to send you a clothesline!

Admit it, Diane you ARE very organized. Chris and I both KNOW you are! Well... I 'tolerated' the plain ol' vanilla ice cream by adding some chocolate cookies and some cashews! Going to bed early tonight. I'm reading a new book I got for 50c at a garage sale. "As We Are Now" by May Sarton. See you all tomorrow.

Well, that was an annoying job! By the way, I saw a katydid today! I had to look up what it was, I had never seen one before--when I first saw it (sitting on top of a fire hydrant) I thought it was a toy or something but I was staring at it and it moved. What an adorable insect! I guess I should get to bed now, I have to get up early enough for grocery shopping. See you all tomorrow! By the way, where are you calypso?? I hope you're okay. Diane

Thanks for letting me share that. It was a nice nature walk and I found a close-by park where I can take my dog when the weather is cooler. Being a collie, she doesn't really like the really hot days. Her favorite place is in front of a fan. A dog makes a good walking buddy. You know it's kind of funny, I might not go very fast but I have no trouble walking all day and going up and down hills. I walked all over the place in Moscow. It did inspire me to on my treadmill try to increase my speed a little here and there, so that if by chance it happens again, next time I can do better. It did though bring back a lot of memories from when I was a kid and the slow one in Phys Ed that was always picked last. I will say this that it inspired me to on my treadmill at home, start increasing my speed 10 minutes here and there so that I can get fit. In fact, even though I liked to roller skate and ride horses and a bike and swim, I never saw myself as into physical fitness. Until recently, and I need to see me that way because it will help me to eat better, take care of me better and let the smoking be a thing that just doesn't fit who I am. (In other words quit) And I can do it. I really appreciate knowing that you all would have not really cared for that experience either. But the little dove was cute. And the squirrel too. sue5000 you got a lot done - errands - mowing the lawn - painting - next time I am sure you'll remember the chocolate syrup - especially since you were there twice to get boxes. Enjoy your book! chocolatetruffle great job on the paper work! I like to do stuff while I watch a video too! Diane - great job keeping up with things and there is nothing like sleeping on fresh clean sheets! I especially like it when they hung outside to dry. PEEPed a little bit watched a couple cartoons took a shower to do brush teeth go to bed

I have question about the tablecloths. I need to get a couple for my table. Do y'all wash those very old ones before you put them out on a table?
You are all so much fun, here, and very inspirational.
Yesterday, after work , I paid bills. Got to put 6 papers in the recycle bag.

Hi, cando. When I buy a vintage tablecloth, I wash it right away. Often they smell musty because they have been stored a long time. I give it a quick iron before I put it on my table. Yay on the bill paying! I always feel good getting caught up on that task. In fact, that reminds me I should add that to today's list.
