I am liking this new routine, but this long multiple day list is not working for me. I am going to now post a new list each day.
I am mostly caught up with the weekly stuff, since I always feel behind when I start a new routine. But the deeper cleaning stuff is now behind. I still have 4 days left in my current zone, (WHY was I working on kitchen cabinets when that isn't even in my zone right now? Or did I change those too?) I have several switch-around projects to do between the bedroom and spare room this weekend.
In addition I have a couple of mini things I need to do as well. I bought a few new utensils yesterday that I need to wash, put away, and put the things they are replacing in the donate box. After my shower I want to start running my geraniums I brought in through the shower. I need to set up new homes for them. I have been buying staples for this FODMAP diet, but I need to re-organize 1 kitchen cupboard to put them away. So I will pick away at these things today/ this weekend as well.

I think I am liking this 10 day routine. However due to 'life' I got behind in a few areas - or rather I allowed myself to backtrack in a few areas. I am now almost caught up. Today should be grocery day. I have it booked for every 5 days now. But I went out 2 days ago and I should have enough to get myself through the next 5 days, so I wont need to go out. However I did not get to yesterday's paperwork, because I was doing too many deep-cleaning projects, so today I can do paperwork. Last PM I cooked a roast pork, so I have food ready for a few days. I only cooked a sweet potato last night - today I will cook up a couple of my allowed veggies to go with it. I have used a lot of tea towels and cleaning cloths recently, so if the laundry room isn't too busy I might do them this afternoon. The area I have really slacked on is exercising. I didn't even tally my calories over Thanksgiving. That was not because I thought I was going overboard, but that it would have been so much effort to figure out the calorie count on several foods ingredient by ingredient. So I just opted to not record them. Even so my weight today is the same as a week ago, and some days was even less. I have relocated my Glider too so maybe I will use it more. I have also not been doing my quiet craft activities either, and I want to start back at those. I have some things I want to get done by Christmas. My friend may come back for another visit in about 2 weeks, so if I can just keep on my routine, I should not have to do a major clean again before she comes. And isn't that what it's all about? I still have 3 days left on my bedroom, spare room, paperwork and clothing zone. Today I want to sort out my clothing a bit better. I am also in the midst of bringing in my geraniums, so that should all be finished by tomorrow AM. Unfortunately, last PM I petered out by supper time, so I still have a mess in the kitchen. So on to today: Sun Oct 18: DAILY: Self Care Make bed, tidy bedroom Tidy LR, DR, entrance, hall Kitchen clean up, dishes Kitchen counters, sink, stove Dust bird room Vac bird room Swish and swipe bathroom Quiet time for reading, crochet or cross-stitch Exercise Log in calories, exercise in MyFitnessPal Bird Care Wash dishes after supper Change tea towels Toss garbage DAY 8 Groceries, Errands (not needed) - make lists - shop - bring all items upstairs - put everything away - put away receipts Recycling - take to bins Digital declutter Exercise: Off FROM DAY 7 Floors - Vac LR, DR Papers - Gather all loose papers - Pay bills - Record bills in Quicken , Budget book - File bills - File interest papers Exercise: Glider or Stationary Bike DEEP CLEANING: ZONE 2 (11th - 20th) - BEDROOM, SPARE ROOM, HALL, CLOTHES, PAPERS: Assess winter linens Move extra items in bird room ? Pull out clothes and set up by season - got them all done! Try on jackets Dry clean anything needing it OUTSTANDING PAPERWORK Prepare letter for tax office - print out necessary inclusions - write letter - mail Fill out other form Pay parking ticket IN ADDITION - put last 2 geranium pots through shower to wash off outside debris - set up new area for geraniums inside - put old kitchen utensils in donation box

Good morning. I have let my habit of exercising slide - I need to get back to it. For some reason my gut has been bad the past 2 days - whether it is getting rid of built-up of old foods that are not good for me, or a supposedly 'good' food is not agreeing with me. I hope today is better, because it makes being out of my apt very difficult. Plus I feel very bloated and uncomfortable. I also need to get back to having a quiet time doing crafts after brunch. I need to work on doing dishes after supper as well. Mon Oct 19: DAILY: Self Care Make bed , tidy bedroom Tidy LR, DR, entrance, hall Kitchen clean up, dishes Kitchen counters, sink, stove Dust bird room Vac bird room Swish and swipe bathroom Quiet time for reading, crochet or cross-stitch Exercise Log in calories, exercise in MyFitnessPal Bird Care Wash dishes after supper Change tea towels Toss garbage DAY 9 Linens - Change towels - Change sheets - Change table clothes Laundry – linens, other laundry as needed - sort - wash, dry - hang, put away - put away laundry supplies Cook ahead Exercise: Leslie Sansone DVD FROM DAY 8 Recycling - take to bins Digital declutter FROM DAY 7 Floors - Vac LR, DR DEEP CLEANING: ZONE 2 (11th - 20th) - BEDROOM, SPARE ROOM, HALL, CLOTHES, PAPERS: Assess winter linens Move extra items in bird room ? After having spent the last several days not feeling well, thus limiting my ability to comfortably go out, AND being obsessed with this FODMAP diet, which often resulted in me feeling just as bad as before, despite giving up most foods I enjoyed, I made some decisions yesterday about how I wanted to proceed with this eating plan.
The off-shoot is that despite the fact of liking the current routine, I need something more stable (less unpredictable) so I plan specific days to go out for things like groceries and errands. This has again lead me back to a 7 day routine, so I can plan around having potentially bad days. (I am not expecting anyone else to understand this reasoning.)

Thank you megsb. I had a longish message all written, tried to post, found out I was not connected, and lost it. My draft did not get saved. I am not going to write it all again. Part of it was that my stomach problems are now much better. However just before I went out yesterday I hit a toe on a dresser leg, and by the time I got my shopping done and everything upstairs, it hurt so much I could barely walk. This was a previously injured toe too. So nothing got put away except what needed to go into the fridge. It seems I keep hitting my toes on stuff lately - almost a weekly occurrence. I already have arthritis in my feet from old injuries - I don't need to add to it! I keep having exercising in my routine but I haven't done any for a couple of weeks because of repeated short-term physical issues. So far this AM my toe feels a bit better - yesterday I could barely get a shoe on it.

Oh, hollyhock - Ouch!!! I sure hope your toe is just bruised and not broken. If you have injured it before, you probably know there isn't much that can be done for an injured toe. (Except, if it is broken, taping it next to an adjacent toe - which I had to do many years ago when I broke a toe.) It is truly amazing how much something as small as a toe - HURTS when injured !!!! (Broken or even just a bad bruise.)Take is easy today, (as much as you can). Good luck on today's "list". Meg

Thank you megsb. Actually my toe is quite a bit better today - but turning light purple in colour. I read you are a bit under the weather today, so take it easy. I'm making some progress, slowly but surely.

It's Sunday morning and time to start a new week! I slept well - actually in until 6:30 today! Sunday is generally a quiet day. Ds ddil have invited me over to visit them and dgs this afternoon. In 2 days he will be a month old. So plans for today are to putter away at something extra. I still have until the 30th in the kitchen zone, to finish my kitchen cabinets. I completed the long side of the kitchen yesterday. I still have 5 upper (but smaller) cabinets to go, plus 4 drawers. Then I am done - but I'm not doing any of that today. 2 months until Christmas.
