Good Thursday morning. Tomorrow here is Canada Day - so everything, except touristy stuff is closed. Not that I need anything, but I like to plan around it. So today is an at home day. I'm not sure yet quite what to do. It's laundry day - but I have minimal - maybe 1 or 2 loads if I stretch it, 1 anyway. I usually match that up with looking after paperwork. So today I might just concentrate on finishing up this week's challenge, which is switching out the tax files for the VCR tapes on the bird room closet shelf. Last PM I found the tax totes, and pulled them out into the hall. I can get them emptied - in my bedroom I guess, before I get the birds up. (I try to get the birds up a bit late because they start loud flock-calling when I uncover them, and I don't want them screeching too early.) Once they are up I can empty the VCR tapes into the totes, and then put the tax files up on that shelf - with the plan to toss these tapes - a few at a time - and get the totes eventually emptied. I'm hoping to also end up with more free space on the closet shelf, but I will see. Thankfully the bird room is finally cooling down, despite having a fan blowing in there (but not at them) constantly. I got curtains with black out lining, and that helps, but the biggest help was a fan that fits into the window itself, has 2 small fans blowing, but they are thermostatically controlled. I could see the birds happier immediately. It worked so well that yesterday I stopped and got 1 for my bedroom, since the ac unit in there doesn't seem to be working well, and this fan now made a huge difference, and I slept great. But after 1 1/2 years, the bird room is finally at a decent temp. Actually, since I just started planning my deep cleaning and challenges by a room a month - tomorrow starts a new month, so if I could get this switch-around finished, that would be great, and I move on to a new room tomorrow. So here goes my day: ME: Weigh and record Exercise: - walk 2 miles 1 mile DVD, 0.8 miles running around the building - something else? 10 min cardio Shower, dress, makeup Log meals into MyFitnessPal Read Bible DAILY: Circle tour, tidying Catch up dishes Wipe down kitchen counters, sink, stove top Make bed Bird care Bathroom swish and swipe Toss garbage THURSDAY'S TASKS: LAUNDER CLOTHES BRIGHTS? DARKS? LIGHTS? - sort - wash - dry - put away PAPERWORK - collect all loose papers, sort, toss, or file - sort some in paper basket - shred Water plants CHALLENGE FOR WEEK: BIRD ROOM - remove old VCR tapes from closet shelf - put accordion files with taxes on shelf - move tapes to same totes - start discarding tapes - shred papers needing shredding - put any manuals from boxes into manual tote LEFT OVER FROM LAST WEEK'S CHALLENGE: BALCONY: Does large basket of impatiens need repotting? (Needs more soil) No, it's doing fine Cut back 7 pots of pink and white geraniums? Root them? All branches I want to cut back are flowering. Will do at another time.

Hello all. Up here in Canada, it's Canada Day - a holiday - and the start of a long weekend. HAPPY CANADA DAY! I have no real plans - but I will take the day as it comes. I still need to finish off the bedroom and bird room for this week. The kitchen floor needs mopping again too. (My feet were sticking to it.) In my 'old age' I am finally starting to have fun switching around seasonal stuff. I already have the red table cloth out. I'm going to put red pillow cases on my bed - and switch out quilts. And I will dress in red and white. (If I can find white bottoms that fit) I keep procrastinating on polishing my nails, but I think I am going to paint alternate nails red and white. I have things to cook up for my holiday supper - veggie burgers, corn on the cob, and will make some pasta salad. Strawberries for dessert. And if I can see the fireworks from my balcony, I will sit out with popcorn. I slept in a bit today - I think the new fan is helping that so much. So I am starting a bit later than usual. It's also a bit cooler this AM, and has rained already. Since it's July 1, it is my switch-around date for deep-cleaning and projects. My project for the next 2 weeks will be my clothes. (I thought it was bedroom next and I was so excited, then I found out it's not, it's the kitchen and DR. However I need to go through clothes for 2 different up-coming situations, so I am going to stick to them for the next 2 weeks. (I have been trying to get to them for months.) So here goes my day: ME: Weigh and record Exercise: - walk 2 miles 1 outside, 1 to DVD - something else? abs Shower, dress, makeup Log meals into MyFitnessPal Read Bible Paint nails DAILY: Circle tour, tidying Catch up dishes Wipe down kitchen counters, sink, stove top Make bed changed linens Bird care Bathroom swish and swipe Toss garbage FRIDAY'S TASKS: BEDROOM & BIRD ROOM - tidy bedroom, bird room - clean bird cage - change bedding - dust bedroom, bird room - vac bedroom, bird room ADD: - vac and mop kitchen floor - cook corn on the cob - make pasta salad changed my mind OVERDUE/ MAYBE: PAPERWORK - collect all loose papers, sort, toss, or file - sort some in paper basket - shred CHALLENGE FOR WEEK: CLOTHES SORTING - figure out order I want to sort clothes in, starting with closets - try on clothes selected for cousin's visitation and memorial service next Thurs and Fri (ongoing) TAPES - discard 5-10 tapes a week FROM LAST WEEK: BIRD ROOM - shred papers needing shredding

Good morning all. It looks like a lovely sunny day, and a bit cool right now. I sat out a bit last night, I could see distant fireworks going off in about 5 or 6 places. It was cool out - I had to put on a sweatshirt and long pants in order to sit outside. So today, back to normal. No real plans. I have decided on a plan to go through my clothes. I am going to go through 1 or 2 colours a day and see the amount I have, and the type (t-shirt, blouse, dressy, casual, sleeve length etc). This way I can see if I have too many of 1 type, etc. The other thing I need to do today is update my 'bullet journal'. I started a spiral notebook as a bullet journal, and as with everything I keep changing it. I had tried to track my cleaning times/ frequencies in it, without having a real order to do things, and that totally bombed. I also wrote out my total 'mind dump' of any possible thing that needs doing here, and I need to review that. It's become very useful, so far, in tracking my weight, exercise, calories etc, and my daily Bible reading. It's still a big work in progress. And I don't do the daily logging in it that most others do. I'm better at just having a weekly section. But that is the benefit of the bullet journal - everyone makes it into what suits themselves. I still need to set up my pages for July. Yesterday I did not get to my floors. I will do those today - plus it's bathroom cleaning day. So today's plans are: ME: Weigh and record Exercise: - walk 2 miles? - something else? Shower, dress, makeup Log meals into MyFitnessPal Read Bible Trim , paint fingernails DAILY: Circle tour, tidying Catch up dishes Wipe down kitchen counters, sink, stove top Make bed Bird care Bathroom swish and swipe Toss garbage Declutter some emails SATURDAY'S TASKS: BATHROOM: Vac Scrub sink Scrub tub Scrub toilet Wash floor Change towels Restock LEFTOVER: FROM FRIDAY: BEDROOM & BIRD ROOM - vac bedroom, bird room ADD: - vac and mop kitchen floor - update bullet journal with July pages - review mind dump area of bullet journal - cross off projects already completed CHALLENGE FOR WEEK: CLOTHES SORTING - sort through all clothes in reds pinks and burgundies ADD: sort through all clothes in mauves and purples ADD: sort through all clothes in coral and rust - try on clothes selected for cousin's visitation and memorial service next Thurs and Fri TAPES - discard 5-10 tapes a week FROM LAST WEEK: BIRD ROOM - shred papers needing shredding

Good Sunday morning, all. I had to close my blinds at 6:30 this AM because the sun was so bright already. Sunday has basically been my MEGA-tidy day. Go through the house and tidy up the items I have missed in the day-to-day stuff. Plus sort through the fridge and toss. I have been wavering about paperwork - it seems a good day for that. Not the bill paying-kind, but the sorting and organizing kind. I'm a paper junkie. I constantly write myself notes and ideas, I print off bits here and there on things like recipes, places to go, exercise info etc. My printer fills up weekly, and then all of these papers and notes sit. And because I recently stopped eating meat, I have been gathering (printing off) lots of new recipes to try since I have never been much of a bean/ legume eater or used all of the different grains, etc. So I have a lot of papers here - that in reality I wouldn't be able to find right now if I wanted. I recently moved my file cabinet to a place in my kitchen - its fairly empty since I have my bills etc in a portable file now - so it's perfect for containing the supposedly important bits of info I have been collecting. They just need sorting - I have extra files available in the dresser in the bird room. I think I have all of these papers - acquired since I moved here in about 3 baskets. So setting aside some time when I am free on Sundays would be a good plan. Maybe I will strive for 30 minutes and see how that goes - 20 minutes to sort, followed by 10 minutes to file. So that is all that I have planned today. Plus clean the bird cage. And continue on doing the clothing sort - working on the blue-toned clothing today. The mega tidy will include bagging up the clothes from yesterday that I decided to donate. Plus I still need to start my bullet journal for July. So lots of tidying and paperwork ideas to incorporate into today. So today's plans are: ME: Weigh and record Exercise: - walk 2 miles? - something else? Shower, dress, makeup Log meals into MyFitnessPal Read Bible Paint fingernails DAILY: Circle tour, tidying Catch up dishes Wipe down kitchen counters, sink, stove top Make bed Bird care Bathroom swish and swipe Toss garbage Declutter some emails SUNDAY'S TASKS: MEGA-TIDY THROUGH: Kitchen - clear out fridge - use up any leftovers if possible LR DR Entrance and Hall Bedroom Bird room Bathroom Balcony - deadhead plants Clean bird cage PAPERWORK - sort papers into piles, like with like - file papers - shred papers Toss all garbage LEFTOVER: - vac and mop kitchen floor - update bullet journal with July pages - review mind dump area of bullet journal - cross off projects already completed CHALLENGE FOR WEEK: CLOTHES SORTING - sort through all clothes in blues, aquas, teals, greens - bag up donatable clothing - try on clothes selected for cousin's visitation and memorial service next Thurs and Fri TAPES - discard 5-10 tapes a week

Good Monday morning. Here in Canada it's just another day - business as usual. I spent part of last evening browsing through some on-line exercise routines by Jessica Smith on YouTube. She has lots of short (10-12 minute) routines, covers lots of areas and has many just for beginners like me. I need to incorporate some into my day. I don't know what I am doing today. I want to finish up on my clothing sort - right now its just tops I am working on. I know I have too many - but I do have room to store, and I'm not ready to give up many. Unless they are way too small (so donated) or mostly, have a ripped seam (tossed). I have added to a large shopping bag I had already started - and now I have 2 full ones. Today is mainly kitchen day. As usual I still have dishes to catch up. B is coming over tomorrow afternoon, but I should have time to tidy the LR beforehand. I also want to test out some things related to the birds, since I may be going away in about 2 weeks for a couple of days. So today's plans are: ME: Weigh and record Exercise: - walk - mile 1 - walk - mile 2 - something else - 2nd mile included abs, butt and thighs Shower, dress, makeup Log meals into MyFitnessPal Read Bible Paint fingernails DAILY: Circle tour Catch up dishes Wipe down kitchen counters, sink, stove top Make bed Bird care Bathroom swish and swipe Toss garbage Declutter some emails MONDAY'S TASKS: KITCHEN - catch up dishes - scrub sink and counters - scrub stovetop - clean Foreman grill - wipe down cabinet fronts - vac - mop - water plants ADD: vacuum LR DR LEFTOVER: From SUNDAY: MEGA-TIDY THROUGH: LR DR Entrance and Hall Balcony - deadhead plants Clean bird cage PAPERWORK - file papers - review mind dump area of bullet journal - cross off projects already completed CHALLENGE FOR WEEK: CLOTHES SORTING - sort through all clothes in white black greys - bag up donatable clothing - try on clothes selected for cousin's visitation and memorial service Thurs and Fri TAPES - discard 5-10 tapes a week BIRD PREPS for the week (for while I am away) - use only outside silo feeders this week - set up lamp on timer - move side table and lamp - try without covering at night

Good Tuesday morning. Yesterday was a very slow day, but I did manage to get some things done. I got through the black white and grey items - tops only. What I have left is what I call mixed black and white - or black and white prints. And then all of the bottoms. I will worry about the bottoms next week.
Later in the evening I opened up a blog email from The Vivienne Files. This blog to me is like dessert - I save it until I can really enjoy it. I have a whole back log of unopened emails. I usually start with the last read one, but yesterday I opened the current one. As I say I have not read any of these for a while.
The one I opened is one where she took 6 scarves, back in January. Each scarf covers a colour family. And slowly, she is building a wardrobe around each scarf's colours - so 6 wardrobes. And 1 day a month, she adds to the collection.
Not knowing that yesterday was the day for that, and when I opened it up, the first wardrobe almost took my breath away. I just kept staring at it. It is navy based, with shades of aquas teals and blues, and a tiny bit of grey. THIS is the wardrobe I am going for!!! I am always attracted to the ones she does in similar colours. There was one from a few years ago that she did based on abalone, that I loved. My reaction to this was quite startling to me.
Most of the other wardrobes were interesting to me, but not my colours. I got to the last one - it was based on black and red and a royal blue, from another scarf. I THOUGHT those were my colours - but this time they seemed too harsh. Too much of a contrast. And now, especially since I have allowed my grey hair to grow out, those colours often do seem too harsh on me. The blue-based wardrobe was much softer.
What I also noted is that the aqua and blue clothes that I have tend to be more casual, while the blacks and whites and reds are dressier - because most were from my working days.
But how timely to come across this now. I had been wondering how to set up my closet - or closets, but I think this gave me the answer - I am going to set them up in the 2 colour stories - and then go from there. I am not going to declutter any more of them right now, but it will be interesting to see how this all works out. OR - do I tend to wear 1 colour family in the winter and 1 in the summer?
I think I might end up doing my bedroom closet in the navy's and aquas and blues, and then put all of the black and white and reds in the spare closet, to see how often they are worn.
This post is long enough, so I will put today's tasks in another.
I also note that I have a funeral home visitation, and memorial service later this week for a cousin. I have laid out a few things I might wear - I want to try them out today to decide - but it's a hard decision because most are for colder weather, while its supposed to be very hot this week. These services are all an hour away, and I do not have air conditioning in my car. This is why I said maybe my black based clothing is more geared to colder weather.

My friend B is supposed to come over today for a bit. Probably between 12 and 1. This is why I vacuumed through the front yesterday, and because I am working ahead for the week. I still have a few things to catch up on. Thursday PM and Fri afternoon are taken up with a visitation and memorial service for a recently deceased cousin. It's out of town, so each day also involves 2 hours of driving. So this leaves Wednesday open for errands etc. Plus there is a notice up that our water will be off most of Wed., so a good day to go out. If I have laundry to do it will have to done early Thurs. In addition, I am going away for a mini-vacation of about 2 1/2 days, in 2 weeks, so I am trying to find the gaps in my wardrobe and prepare for that. One thing I do need is sandals, and possibly a bathing suit. So they are on Wednesday's agenda. I've also been working on having systems in place for the birds while I am gone. So basically today I need to do a few things, and just finish up yesterday's tasks. If I can finish up my clothing sort (tops), I could put them in the car and drop them off at donations when I take B home, or tomorrow when I do errands. I don't think there will be much in the remaining black and white print territory, or, for that matter, in bottoms, since I am still working on weight loss and reducing these hip and waist measurements! (Last week I was thrilled to find that I did have shorts - in several sizes, and was able to fit in some that didn't fit a year ago!) That is all still in transition. I only have too small clothes, nothing too big. Today's plans are: ME: Weigh and record Exercise: - walk - mile 1 outside - walk - mile 2 using DVD - something else 2nd mile included ab work Shower, dress, makeup Log meals into MyFitnessPal Read Bible Paint fingernails DAILY: Circle tour Catch up dishes Wipe down kitchen counters, sink, stove top Make bed Bird care Bathroom swish and swipe Toss garbage Declutter some emails TODAY'S TASKS: - catch up dishes - clean Foreman grill - wipe down kitchen cabinet fronts - mop kitchen and entrance - water plants - clean bird cage Balcony - deadhead plants PAPERWORK - review mind dump area of bullet journal - cross off projects already completed CHALLENGE FOR WEEK: CLOTHES SORTING - sort through all clothes in black and white prints - bag up donatable clothing - try on clothes selected for cousin's visitation and memorial service Thurs and Fri - drop off donations TAPES - discard 5-10 tapes a week BIRD PREPS for the week (for while I am away) - use only outside silo feeders this week - set up lamp on timer - move side table and lamp - try without covering at night ADD: found another tenant who will come in and check on them

Good Wednesday morning. Yesterday I didn't get a lot of things done. My friend arrived much later than planned, if I had known she was delayed I would have tried to have done more while I waited. Then, our visit went later than usual. When I returned home and got the mail I saw another tenant from here sitting outside so I went out for a chat. We have built up a bit of a friendship the past few weeks. I had found that that he once had had budgies, and he always asks about mine, so I asked him if he'd mind watching mine when I went away for 2 days. So I now have one less worry about leaving the birds! Yay! He came up with me for a few minutes and met the birds and saw their set-up. But it was after 7 when he left. I spent the rest of the night having supper, exercising and then trying to stay cool. I slept very poorly in the heat. Today the water to the building is supposed to be off - notice says 9-4, but it normally isn't that long. But that means I need to get busy this AM to be prepared for that. I was also planning to go out today and do a bunch of errands, since I cannot Thurs and Fri, but I'm so tired! So that is it for now. Here are today's plans: ME: Weigh and record Exercise: - walk - mile 1 According to my pedometer/ watch I walked 1.7 miles doing errands, and I know that it doesn't record it all, especially if I am carrying things. Once home I had too much back pain to exercise further. (I also ate less so my net calories for the day were in my usual range) - walk - mile 2 - something else Shower, dress, makeup Log meals into MyFitnessPal Read Bible caught up for previous day as well Paint fingernails DAILY: Circle tour Catch up dishes Wipe down kitchen counters, sink, stove top Make bed Bird care Bathroom swish and swipe Toss garbage Declutter some emails TODAY'S TASKS: WATER OFF 9-4 - wash dishes and bathe by 9 AM - fill bird water dishes - set up water for possible cooking, hand washing, etc ERRANDS - Walmart - shoe store - a few groceries - get cards - bank - get gas ADD: Old Navy ADD: Lenscrafters to get side pieces on glasses tightened WATER PLANTS - evening LEFTOVER: - wipe down kitchen cabinet fronts - mop kitchen and entrance - clean bird cage Balcony - deadhead plants PAPERWORK - review mind dump area of bullet journal - cross off projects already completed CHALLENGE FOR WEEK: CLOTHES SORTING - sort through all clothes in black and white prints - bag up donatable clothing - drop off donations TAPES - discard 5-10 tapes a week BIRD PREPS for the week (for while I am away) - use only outside silo feeders this week they like these, bought more - set up lamp on timer - move side table and lamp - try without covering at night

Thank you Arid - it's all very sad. He was only 6 months older than me. His parents and my parents are all deceased as well as most of the aunts and uncles. His wife died in 2006 with her 3rd bout of cancer. His younger sister's husband is in a nursing home with Alzheimers. Both couples had no kids. I believe a brother from out west is coming in. My sister is on holiday and not coming. So I don't know how many will be there, but I will be the only one from my family. It was hard when the parents/ aunts and uncles were passing away. But now that it's hit our generation, it's really hitting home. And unfortunately, we all knew each other well when we were young and lived at home, but once everyone went their separate ways, we lost touch with each other.

Good Thursday morning. Another very hot one today. Supposed to be close to 90. And humid. I had a very successful day doing errands yesterday. I went to Old Navy, which I have not been to for years and years, and always thought I was too old for it. I lucked out. I found dresses - in a style, and size that FIT me!!!! I actually ended up buying 3, but 2 will work well for the funeral services this week, and should be cooler in this heat (in a car without air conditioning) than wearing slacks. (Now I just have to go through my shoes and find suitable ones, and 1 necklace) I also tried on bathing suits in 2 places, but we won't even go there! Luckily I still have 2 ancient but suitable ones that fit, for going away next week, so I will not torture myself further until next year when I hope my hips have finally decided to let go of some of this poundage. And I found comfortable sandals that I love. I got other piddly things done, like cards, bank, gas, a few groceries, and bought larger pots and soil to transplant my 4 new geraniums into - I had used ones I had but they are definitely not large enough, and difficult to water. I even got the side parts of my glasses tightened, since I was nearby. But by the time I got home I really really ached! I am so glad that I now have a parking spot in the upper parking garge and so easier to get everything inside! I noted yesterday that this door is easier to get into too than the other - only the lock to undo and then push. The other had a lock and then a door knob, then push, then have trouble getting your keys out, all while trying to carry several bags of groceries - before you got to the knee-aching stairs! All in all it was very successful, and I think except for a few groceries next week, I am good to go for a while. (I'm trying to eat down my freezer.) However I did buy a couple of meatless pasta meals that I can use the next few days without heating up the apt. So for today - I don't know. Actually I may go out very soon, before it gets too hot, and repot those 4 geraniums. It would be good to get them able to take in more water. Tonight, 7-9, is the visitation for my deceased cousin, out of town. So that is my main focus. Be ready for that. Thursdays I usually do laundry too, so I will try to pull together a couple of loads to get done this AM. I never went through my black and white clothes yet. But I know most are okay, since I tried several on this week, in deciding what to wear for these funeral occasions. 1 cardigan is iffy. But overall, I have made decisions on how to proceed with my clothing. I seem to have 2 distinct colour families, which also are mostly season related. Black, white, red and burgurdy, and some deep blue - mostly cold weather related (except newest purchases) Navy, some grey, blues and aquas are more summer related. So I am going to move all the deep coloured winter-stuff to the spare room. I have yet to go through my bottoms, but that can wait until next week now. Plans for today: ME: Weigh and record Exercise: - walk - mile 1 - walk - mile 2 - something else Shower, dress, makeup Log meals into MyFitnessPal Read Bible Paint fingernails DAILY: Circle tour Catch up dishes Wipe down kitchen counters, sink, stove top Make bed changed sheets Bird care Bathroom swish and swipe Toss garbage Declutter some emails THURSDAY'S TASKS: LAUNDRY: 4 loads - sort - wash - dry - put away LINENS: Change sheets Change tablecloth DUST: LR, DR, entrance, hall Bedroom, Spare room ADDITIONAL: Clean bird cage Wash new bird dishes EXTRAS FOR TODAY: Repot 4 geraniums into bigger pots Decide on final outfits and shoes and possible jewelry for funeral services today and tomorrow Prepare cards Visitation out of town tonight 7-9 PM (Eat an early supper) LEFTOVER: Put away rest of yesterday's purchases - wipe down kitchen cabinet fronts - mop kitchen and entrance Balcony - deadhead plants PAPERWORK - review mind dump area of bullet journal - cross off projects already completed CHALLENGE FOR WEEK: CLOTHES SORTING - sort through all clothes in black and white prints - bag up donatable clothing - drop off donations - move winter-based clothes (Mainly black, white, red and burgundy) to spare room closet TAPES - discard 5-10 tapes a week BIRD PREPS for the week (for while I am away) - use only outside silo feeders this week - set up lamp on timer - move side table and lamp - try without covering at night 2nd AM without a cover did not work well - too noisy too early

I got to my cousin's visitation last PM. It was sad. My grandparents had 7 kids. All but 1 married. But we all got out of touch, moved away etc. I don't know how many grandkids there were. I know 2 died before 30 years old. But all that were present last PM from the family was 1 other cousin and myself, the deceased's sister and 1 of 2 brothers. (The other is from out of province and made it down for a visit just before he died, but can't return now.) My sister is away on holiday, so didn't come. The other cousin that was there will return today, and her sister, but the 3 of us might be it. The deceased's sister was so happy to see me there. (BTW, due to changing phone numbers, etc, we cousins only found out about my cousin's condition 3 weeks before he passed. My sis and I were able to visit him in Palliative Care about 10 days before he died.) I managed to get home just before dark, a bit after 9. Coming home though I got stopped by the RIDE program - cops checking cars for drunk drivers etc. My focus today will only be on getting to the memorial service at 1 PM. I woke feeling achy. It is raining, lightly right now. The air feels a bit cooler and a bit less humid - will it stay? Regarding my house - I still have not dusted - or done any vacuuming this week - and I'm behind on the bird cage cleaning. But I plan to catch up on that by tomorrow - I'm not worried about it right now. So today's list will be a lot of things to catch up by tomorrow. I have no real goals for anything today. Plans for today: ME: Weigh and record Exercise: - walk - mile 1 tonight, outside - walk - mile 2 - something else Shower, dress, makeup Log meals into MyFitnessPal Read Bible Paint fingernails DAILY: Circle tour in the evening Catch up dishes Wipe down kitchen counters, sink, stove top Make bed Bird care Bathroom swish and swipe Toss garbage Declutter some emails FRIDAY'S TASKS: Vacuum - LR, DR - kitchen - entrance, hall - bed room - bird room Mop - kitchen - entrance Water plants LEFT from THURSDAY'S TASKS: LAUNDRY: 2 loads - put away DUST: LR, DR, entrance, hall Bedroom, Spare room ADDITIONAL: Clean bird cage Wash new bird dishes LEFTOVER: Put away rest of Wednesday's purchases - wipe down kitchen cabinet fronts CHALLENGE FOR WEEK: CLOTHES SORTING - sort through all clothes in black and white prints - bag up donatable clothing - drop off donations - move winter-based clothes (Mainly black, white, red and burgundy) to spare room closet TAPES - discard 5-10 tapes a week BIRD PREPS for the week (for while I am away) - use only outside silo feeders this week - set up lamp on timer - move side table and lamp - try without covering at night ******************************* PM Check in: Funeral went okay, although I was so stressed out ahead I had stomach issues before driving out. I left here about 11:45 and got home at 5 PM. It was a long and very emotional day. But I did get 're-acquainted' with some cousins. There are so few of us left. I didn't do much tonight - I just didn't have a lot of energy. The afternoon was hot - but now it's a comfortable temp out. So about 6 PM I made myself go out and walk a mile. My exercising had gotten a bit slack the last couple of days, and I just needed a fresh outlook, different view, fresh air, looking at peoples' gardens etc - to kind of get myself back on track. Once home I did a mini tidy - but tomorrow I plan to start moving ahead again.
