I did a procrastination item last week and would have sworn I posted--maybe I previewed it and then didn't hit post. I had decided once and for all to mark my blanket on the "side" so that I knew which was side and which was top and bottom. Because ever since I've had it (maybe 2 years?) it always feels like I get the wrong side when I make the bed. My bed is full-size so the blankets are almost square, and I keep thinking I'm putting it on the wrong way because it hangs over too far on one side. So my goal was to lay it out and measure it, and sew some bright colored thread on the two sides so I could see the side easily and put the blanket on the bed correctly. Imagine my surprise when I measured it and it's exactly square! I must have known that when I bought it, because the size would have appeared in the description. So, it's not anything I'm doing, it's just a tiny bit too wide. It's a solid color that is sewn in squares, so what I did was put it on the bed as neatly as possible, and then took note of how many squares hang over the side and bottom, so that I don't have to keep going back and forth making it even. I have a Historical Society form to be filled out and passed on to the treasurer so she can write a check and mail it before April 1. Next week will be crazy, so I will do the form either tonight or tomorrow morning and hand deliver it to her.

Good work on the report Ima, things like that are so easy to put off.
My item for this week was finally getting the donation information together for the little library kit--I sent it out to the other building members. I've put this off for at least a month, which has delayed getting the kit. I'm glad it's done.

i like this thread. what a good way to get those niggling tasks done. WTG everyone on completing your challenges! my procrastination item for this week is to mend, then sew up this lacy piece of polyester into a little sheer curtain for the top of my sunniest window. the sun is so much more intense and my plants are getting burned now - they never used to. the sheer will still let the light in while protecting my plants and hopefully, my eyes. not much of a sun lover here after working in it for 33+ years. ETA; sewed the curtain. don't really like it, it's a poly floral lace piece i had kicking around. i think i will look through my stash to see if i have something sheer but simple. i can use the lace in another project.
but at least i did it!

Attachment Deleted My box of "Delayed Decisions" ... an assortment of various types of connecting cables.. i am trying to laugh at myself over keeping them, but I have surprised myself at the need to hang on to them , esp as many only came from the pound shop.. part of my reasoning is that technology changes so fast I won't be able to get hold of them to use with my existing stereo / TV etc.. this procrastination item is only partly ticked off the procrastination list, I reckon I can be rid of the longest cables, just keep a few short ones ... though part of me knows most of this lot will not be used and will eventually make it out the house.. There is a growing collection in the "Pre-Bin" box. I shall have to sleep on it and try to let some more go tomorrow.

I see I forgot to report last week's procrastination item...I'm slipping on the reporting lately. I labeled the leftover can of paint the building painters gave me, and brought it down to the basement for storage.
This week's item was figuring out what kind of material to buy to make handles on some bags that I use for my dog walking. I measured, found it online and ordered. I've had the bags for a couple of months now, but they need new handles before I can use them.
