12min timer on computer set and to K to do dishes for that time. just 4 items - pots and pan remain. bundled 2 pots in water as I left sink to turn off timer. the course is devised by Frost and co and hidden treasures. there is a trained facilitator using sanctioned handouts, which she will keep for those not wanting more paper at home. another peer support group is going to start with member leading, and following a formula that has evolved through other similar need based groups. How often to meet and first of those ongoing mtgs hasn't happened yet. megsb - one of the more struggling new group members says she is an old cleany perfectionist who hit a wall. stashing has hit a limit. Mental health takes its toll when life itself is the struggle and all else goes by the wayside. My words - not other person verbatium. Must away.

Yesterday morning my sink was clean. Today it is not. That's because I didn't do any dishes yesterday so I need to: Clear the kitchen bench and collect up the stray dishes that have wandered off around the house Wash up yesterday's and this morning's dishes And I will have a clean kitchen again. I wish that I could keep it up daily but I keep having lapses. Still, I am improving on how long I let it go before fixing it. Well done wynken You really do inspire me with your persistence and determination. I am feeling down today and might need to sing one of those silly songs that you mentioned earlier on this thread to get me going.

I was married (WAS) to a perfectionist. Life was and still is a major struggle for him. Psychologically and physically. It is/was an impossible situation for me to live with. I have often wondered about the inner workings/turmoil of the owners of the seeming "perfectly kept homes" of some people I know. As for me, I am content with a clean kitchen sink and living space where I don't have to worry about tripping and falling. And thanks to SooS, I have learned that it is ok to be clearing out my "stashes" slowly but surely, allowing for time to enjoy life along the way.

on putting in effort haywirehousekeeper, megsb and cleanbeela la la haywire. I took some time to attempt some tunes today. Just finished putting away all that remained from this mornings washing up of dishes. Washing up after dinner is x 5 the difficulty if previously washed stuff is sitting there singing - why are we waiting - and I just walk off.

I am committing to 10 minutes of dishes. I have realized my life and time table is not like anyone else's. I'm learning that that is okay and learning to accept myself and my unique ways.

good job imamess cleanbee and momof3boys. I know people have had good results with that approach momof3boys. at doing it multiple times. Last night I belatedly put away dish drainer things. Today I wiped up the residual oil in plate and frypan. Washing everthing is a job that awaits me. I'll be doing it in part acts like momof3boys if it takes more than 10-12 min. I'll check in when its done.
