Thank you creativechaos. My efforts will be nothing like professional standards but so long as it looks ok it will be good enough. It's looking cleaner and brighter already. Yesterday I painted a wall - it needs another coat. I also did some more of the ceiling. Nothing today because I've been out but hoping to finish one section tomorrow.

Lydia, congrats for tackling your room project, I'll bet it'll look great when you're done!
I've been working on the cabinet that I'm cleaning out and only have one shelf left to clean. I have one more shelf that I've emptied out but still need to decide what I'll be using it for. I like this method--making a big goal for the 2-month goal and breaking it down into small parts for the weekly goal!

I folded and put away the previous laundry and did another load. It is hanging to dry now.
Next week I need to change my bedsheets and wash them.

I finished the cabinet I wanted to clean out, I still have half of one shelf free, but that's a good thing, I'm sure I'll think of something that logically belongs there later, so I'm counting it done now.

This week's challenge is to make a "miscellaneous" storage spot in the DR into a cat food storage spot. I've been trying to put extra cat food into the pantry and there's just no room, especially since I'm using large round canning jars, which take up a lot of room. I've recently purchased a few kinds of dry food, which has to be stored without getting stale and/or buggy, so this is kind of a priority.
The shelving unit I want to use currently has other things on it, so they'll have to be dealt with.

I've been doing a lot of thinking and planning this past week. Unfortunately not a lot of doing. DR chairs all still need to be done, etc.
Re exercise - I want to do 3 days of waterfit plus 3 more days on weight bearing/ strength training. And possibly 1 more day of some Pilates type routine.
I am hoping to spend Feb and March doing the last of my big paper sorting - mostly memorabilia. This week I got things to sort papers into, that I can put away if need be, since I plan this to be a slow process. But before I start I want to finish up on a couple of other items. This week's zone - until the 31st anyway, is the bathroom.
So this week's plans are: Exercise - waterfit x 3 - other exercises x 3 or 4 DR chairs - recover 2 seats that are removed - prepare 2 seats that aren't started - finish last 2 chairs Birds - maybe get 1 more male budgie (cage is ready in LR) - sit with them x 3 nights, to see if they come out. Paperwork - prepare files for 2017 - set up file for incoming tax papers for 2016 - pick up tax forms when they come in (I am told that they can't be put out until Feb 5) - prepare bullet journal for Feb Zone 5 - bathroom - decobweb - wash light fixtures, change bulb - steam shower walls Errand - get a proper size crochet hook

I have changed the sheets and washed them on Sunday. It is so nice to sleep in the clean sheets now! I am going back to work on Wednesday and need to go to the tax office and do grocery shopping in a shop further away.

This week's goal is to finish last week's goal. I've got about a third of it done. But this is still more progress than I might have made.

wtg lydia, lucie, hollyhock, dtesposito, on all accomplishments! they all count, so good work! i met many of last week's goals that were most important: finished 2015 taxes and mailed that off mailed off amended tax form and attachments for 2014 so i can get the refund they never gave me. finished apartment recertification - was waiting for a letter from social security for proof of income and that came today. those were all big accomplishments, and i am very glad to finally have them done. This week's goals -Monday 30th through Sunday Feb. 5th: i'm keeping it small and simple because am still dealing with my cat's ups and downs with urinary blockages and near-emergencies. file state taxes online BY midnight tomorrow (31st) - had to paper file instead; mailed today (Tues)spend quality time with cat every day and continue to monitor his health and research what i can do holistically catch up with maintenance in the one area in kitchen that i had looking OK - trying to keep up with the dishes but i can't seem to keep up with my inner squalorer!re-evaluate whether i want to do any more volunteering with art teachers at the public school art classes. it's sucking time and days that i need for personal progress, and the curriculum is ghastly. Decided to volunteer only on an as-needed basis, with timely communication from art teacher - IF i am available for those days and times.keep monitoring and re-baiting mouse traps in storage units (one check for each day done) try to get back to at least 6 hrs of sorting/releasing this week, at home and at storage- 1 check for each hour - BIG FAIL HERE> all i did was box up some fabric at home and sort through some little piles of stuff. maybe 1 hr of sorting total.start initiating PASS program and write up a business plan for that (with help) - this will take some time call DSHS for get help applying for medicare/medicaid - this will also take some time. called local SHIBA volunteers instead - have appointment tomorrow.ETA; We got my prescription drug part subscribed with a carrier. I still have to do part B with DSHS. file some papers make energy assistance appointment - called power company and had one year history faxed to the community resource center, who will begin processing application.pay rent order some things online for the cat order some mouse-repellent stuff for the storage units keep trying to improve nightly once-daily tooth brushing (one check for each night done) still not doing well here, but am flossing more.i've been stress-acquiring and hoarding more stuff, plus all the stuff i brought home from the units to try to keep that from being ruined - feeling pretty depressed and hopeless but will keep setting goals here that i can realistically do. soon it will be weeding time ...where did my supposedly restful and relaxing winter go - the one where i was going to "catch up" on things? some other things i got done this week:
divided ALL the dahlias planted some fall bulbs -too late but they may at least not die! pulled some shotweed in the garden.

CC, I'm sorry that you're still having problems with your cat--I hope his condition stabilizes. Good work getting important paperwork done in the meantime.
I finished my food storage project today--the shelf with the cat food actually looks good because of all the uniform glass storage jars. And I have no worries about finding moths in any of them!

Aaaaah, food storage. Thank you for a reminder, that will be my plan for a next 2 month challenge. I have been to the tax office yesterday, filled the tax form (a nice lady helped me a lot) and today I have had my hair cut and did a big shopping. Bigger than I planned, had a problem to drag my whelie bag home.

WTG lucie on filing your tax form and doing your shopping! Great work, dtesposito, on finishing your food storage project! the uniform glass jars sound visually appealing. today and yesterday i did something - a big project that wasn't even on this week's list. i divided all the dahlias in my storage unit. some had rotted. two days of solid work and i may lose more but that is ok - less to dig up next year. now that's done. it's better to divide soon after you dig dahlias but i did not have the time or energy to do that this year - then it was one thing after another. so glad to have this off my chest. i also planted my fall bulbs two days ago. better late than not at all. probably won't get any blooms out of them but that too is done.
