ta-da's: Finished reading the chapter about central Asia during/after the time of Genghis Khan, and started the chapter on Europe (1000-1500) Started another load of laundry Eating some soup for lunch Emptied the dishwasher and started loading it again to-do: Fold and put away towels Go for a walk Move the laundry to the dryer Finish reading the chapter on European history, and then, if I have time, take the quiz. There is a discussion question on ancient American civilizations (last week's topic) in which I need to respond to other people's posts, but as of yet, there isn't anything to respond to. I'd really like to get this done today! Then I will focus on preparing for the final exam.

Ally, your schoolwork sounds so fascinating. Do you love it, or is school just stress? I'm waiting to hear back from a graduate school for this fall.
TaDa: Dog out & fed Dressed Dishwasher filled and running
ToDo: Take ptsd meds Get my hair dyed and maybe cut Go to a 45 minute dinner where I will get to see my kids but won't be able to take them home
Try not to fall apart.

grace, It is a love-hate relationship. I used to hate history when I was in high school. I grew to appreciate it more when watching documentaries as an adult. This course summarizes world history from before the beginnings of civilization up to the year 1500. I like it, but sometimes I think the book gets bogged down in little details about some topics and totally skips other topics. My professor (maybe along with her colleagues) has created some interesting assignments in which we have to write about an event or a place from someone else's point of view. I like the creative side of that. It's not just writing about facts. Then we have to write responses to what our classmates write. It is an intense course. A whole semester squeezed into 8 weeks. I am spending almost every waking minute either doing something work or school related. (I took a vacation day last week, and did go to see a movie, so that was nice!) ta-da's: More laundry Went for a walk. It's beautiful out! to-do: Eat a snack Study some more Maybe take an online quiz?

From my work's office supply account, I ordered a long table for cutting out sewing fabric, arrived 12:30. Box was broken, shipper asked me to come look at it. The edging had some tiny mars, but I was fine with it.
I have a specific place in mind for it in the basement. At lunch, looked at the path the thing will need to take. Gracious! Cleared a basement path, cleared the recipient spot in the basement. Dunno why that hadn't occurred to me before. The dining room is problematic (that's where the basement door is). sigh.

Good stuff, Wildpony. You are super organised and do not let those tasks drag on.
Ally, I am impressed that your teacher asks you to write history from this or that character's point of view. History used to be written by the victors. They could ignore accounts by people they despised, such as women, and hand down to us the "authorative" version that made themselves look best. Not any more. For any event there will be multiple viewpoints. I like that. It helps us get as close as possible to the facts.
TA DA Laundry, washed and hung out Dishes done Groceries bought.
TO DO Now, here's a once in a lifetime opportunity. My DD's school will have a second-hand book stall at our local street festival next month. Time for me to cull the contents of my creaking, sagging shelves and send off a few boxes to help raise money for the school. I will do it tonight!

Hello All! I plan to be posting here a lot more over the next week or so. (I have off from work!)
ta-da's: Made a very loose, unstructured plan for the next several days, which includes study time, cleaning time, exercise time, and financial/tax time. Up made and ate breakfast Emptied the dishwasher
to-do: Spend an hour or 2 studying for the final exam. (I need to review at least 10 topics per day) Go for a walk. I will check the weather report to select the best time I might go out and do some yard work too... ditto about the weather report
Spend time sorting through financial papers Choose an area to declutter and work on it until at least 1 square-foot is clutter free. (I want to accomplish way more than 1 square foot, but I need to start small.)
