Hello everyone! Finally completed the last of the appointments for the week!!! DONE: * showered * counseling appointment * stopped at the health store for sage * went to a new place looking for some crystals * grocery shopping all done (whew) * picked up DHs prescription * ate something * called Mom Totally messed me up having appointments 2 days in a row. Oh well. That's done. Now I'm waiting to hear a call back from the small shop I called to see if she was there. I don't think she is because I got her answering machine. But I left a message with my number just in case she gets the message. I have a mess everywhere except the bathroom and living room and I have decisions to make about Saturday. I think tomorrow's adjenda will be figured out by DH -- but I am debating the rock and gem show -- it will be $10 to get in $5 each -- there will be a lot of temptations (spending ones) so I wonder if I can find the chakra crystals I need locally it might be smarter either that or order on etsy -- I make better decisions and spend less from home -- the show interests me a great deal but I think I will see a lot of pretty things and suffer unnecessary torture over all the "pretties". I'm trying to make a good choice and stay within my limits cash wise. There are also other things that I've been wanting for my pen hobby so I have to make choices. Left for today is to organize my desk and art table. It's awful and I don't know where to start but I MUST start so that I have room for drawing tonight and writing. Mercy!

Pamela, I'm glad you got your LR looking better.
Chris, yes, that's a hard decision about the gem show, I know the feeling that maybe it's better to not put yourself into temptation!
Next:
Quick (I hope) call to friend Wash cat food dishes Pigeon care PEEP in kitchen

Good morning everypony!
I couldn't get online this morning. I tried to be stoic about it. You can do this without talking to your friends. Just make a list! Like you did before the internet, remember? *sob* I called Verizon, and yes I was paid up. I thought about calling tech support, then realized the first thing they would tell me to do would be to reboot. So I did that, a voila, here I am!
Welcome wildpony and @pamela!
haywirehousekeeper for years my lists were 80% too big. I got it down to 50%. I try not to connect my expectations of what I will actually get done with what I wrote down. Two different animals.
dtesposito I keep thinking about something you said last week about always PEEPing, and wondering if there was a way to pick up after yourself to avoid that. So this weekend, when JL was here and we were doing tons of projects, I HAD to be in the "pick up after myself" mode, cause my place is small, and there was no doing the next project until the last project was put away. And what I noticed is that I was "always" picking up. So I have concluded that whether I do it sooner or later, the "quantity" of picking up is the same. There don't seem to be any shortcuts, except for having a place for everything that is easy to put things back into (like a kid's room.)
I am curious what y'all think about this?
DONE: sleep in (worked until 10:00 pm last night) write list sort old timesheets and staple weeks together sort tabletop files check paper calendar text Mary make coffee make coconut lime water take meds call Verizon reboot iPad stack dishes empty dish drainer wash glasses, drying in drainer flatware, plates soaking

Hi Mylittlescholar and all I hear ya about waking up and having no internet. I go into a full blown hissy fit. Yes, I can remember the days before internet. But now since I don't get out much or have IRL people to connect with, I depend on it. No internet, no workie . Well I did all my errands and a doctor visit, took hubby to work, and tried to pay the huge property tax bill on this house, until at the end of that long process... they wanted $32 "processing fee" !!! No way, I will pay it in person tomorrow when I have to go downtown anyway . Groceries all put away and now I'm trying to reboot, I feel better after my chiropractor adjustment so I AM going to get lots done tonight. I never did my last 3 things yesterday just saying . Pain took over and I pooped out . Todo: Gather dirty clothes and start next load Fold/Put away clothes on table 15 min PU/PA Living Room

Well, I called my friend and ended up making plans to go out shopping tomorrow. My first inclination was to say no but next week is out because I'm going to my sister's, and on the off chance that the weather gets snowy my friend won't drive and then I won't see her for a while. So I might as well go tomorrow. But, that means I have to package a big box of books to mail to take advantage of the ride. And it also means I won't get anything else done today or tomorrow. Oh--and when I went into the bedroom I saw that someone vomited on the blanket, it was just a tiny bit so did not soak through--so I threw that in the washer. Next: Cat feeding Wash more cat food dishes Move blanket to dryer Update planner Diane

Wildpony, I tried last week to pay my cable bill with my charge card, because I had just found out I was able to pay my health insurance with a charge card with no additional fee. I, too, went through a process and then they tell you there's a "convenience fee". No thanks, I will send it through my bank instead!
Scholar, I know what you mean about waking up to no internet--when that happens I feel totally cut off from the world!
As for the constant PEEPing, I definitely think it's easier to put things away as I go--after all, I'm right there--I think it takes a little less time since I'm right there and don't have to walk around the rooms doing it. Of course, I haven't yet developed the habit to do it consistently. Maybe it doesn't save a LOT of time--but it DOES mean that my place is neater on an ongoing basis. So that at any given time if I look around, it doesn't look so messy (or, if someone knocks on the door, it won't look so messy so I don't have to pretend I'm not home...). If I only PEEP every few days, it ends up looking horrible in the meantime! It obviously never bothered me before, but now that I'm cleaning up it bothers me a lot--which is a mixed blessing, I guess!

Hi all
I hardly have time to post today. My niece is here cleaning up the children's bedroom for me while I alternate between sorting out the items she puts aside bc she doesn't know what to do with them and cleaning up the loungeroom. So much work, so little result but still plugging away. I feel guilty posting this while my niece is still working so I'll get back to it.

Yeah, I am coming to the same conclusion, Diane. I was really disappointed that I still had the sense of doing it "all day." But I might as well enjoy a pleasent environment. I'm feeling quite smug, I snuck the flea stuff on Spooky and he still has no clue.
Been "ping-ponging."
DONE: couple more loads of dishes swept DR, LR, Library, Kitchen updated guest ready list took picture of new finds for "mermaid net" ceiling in the bathroom some updating/syncing of calendars can't remember if I reported updating my food log set up "new finds" from above as decor in Library--needs work

Hi everybody I am thinking I have a new cold virus and that us why I am sick again ! I had some really stressful things to deal w last week and I think it made me vulnerable
So today I did not feel that great. Got us off to school and work. Showered dressed. Bed made cats fed and out and in.
Temp had dropped 40 degrees since yesterday! Cold.
Dropped dd off and went to work. Dd had a doc appt late morning so I had to leave work not too long after I got there and go back to dd school and get her. Went to doc. then we had an unhealthy lunch as I bought some fast food. Took dd back to school. I was near home so i stopped there as I had some extra time before I had to go back to work. Decided to find an item for the Lenten challenge and donated it on the way back to work.
Was pretty low key at work. Sipped tea and worked on the computer.. Got a few things done. Then left and stopped at store on way home needed Kleenex and cough drops and cat food. Went home and had simple dinner w dd. did dishes and cleaned litter. Wiped down stove.
Helped dd w homework.
Now I am ready to relax
