tada: laundry dishes wiped off stovetop cleaned outside front of fridge cleaned interior of kitchen cabinet doors (we have vintage steel cabinets with no handles, so they get grimey where you grab them.) todo: -more laundry -SPICES. I need to stop procrastinating this easy task. Demand resistance is such a weird thing. Maybe looking at it in micro-tasks will help. -fix couch cover. -clear side table. -dry dishes up when dry -decorate newly cleaned fridge in spring theme in chalk w/ daughter. (this one will be fun )

Done: Tidying in bedroom Learned "burrito method" for putting on duvet covers Made bed
Put bag of rubbish out Wiped outer window of backdoor Wiped bit of kitchen floor previously covered by closed backdoor
I'm now at a point where my most used rooms (bathroom, toilets, kitchen, dining room, living room and my bedroom) aren't particularly squalid. Stairs and landing need a tidy and a vacuum. Spare room is used as a laundry room and I basically need to fold and put away all my laundry (usually it just stays in that room on the floor until I need it) and vacuum in there. Then the attic bedroom needs a vacuum, bed stripping and some towels from my last visitor washing (and the big spider dealing with). I have lots of bags/boxes that need sorting through, but for now, they are tucked away out of sight. I also have some financial/work stuff that needs some attention. But apart from all that!
I've been fortunate to have had a week off work to devote to this, but even before that (since finding this board last Autumn) the general trend was of reducing squalor. I never want to let it get back to where it was. I've cleaned so many times before, but this time feels different. There's still work to be done, but the biggest challenge now is going to be maintaining all of this progress. I've got my tasks list on my Google calendar and I'm hoping it helps me to have a prompt and a list that needs to be ticked off each day (or mostly, each weekend). I'm worried about what happens when I add the stress of exams back into the picture, but hopefully by then, I'll have made some good new habits.
To Do: Feed sourdough starter Clear settees before I go to bed (nothing on them currently that shouldn't be, except a glass I am drinking from, but stuff seems to accumulate after I stop for my tea) Put any plates, bowls, pans etc. I use today into the sink

There's a lot I wan to accomplish today... ta-das: Up showered, went to church this morning, ate some lunch, loaded some items into the dishwasher, did my daily check in on April the giraffe and the Hanover Eagles. I think the eaglet will win this race.
Things I'd like to do this afternoon: Go for a long walk Look for the batteries for my activity tracker. (I have a vivofit 2, and the battery is supposed to last for a year, mine is over 20 months old, and has started to lose time. I brought the batteries into work over a week ago, thinking I'd change them out on my break, but I didn't have the correct tool to open the case, so I thought I brought them back home, but now I can't locate them.) Sort out daily vitamins, minerals, supplements
Pack yogurt into containers for work (If we have any.) Make some pizza, and maybe some soup? Do some tidying up Work out shower tile design.

Sorted out 2 weeks worth of supplements Loaded and started the dishwasher Went out for a very long walk, 1.5 hours!
Checked the coop for eggs when I arrived back home. There was a hen in the nesting box earlier, but didn't leave me an egg. Looked in my purse for the missing watch batteries.. They were not there. Looked to see if we had yogurt, no we don't. Started cooking some whole grain rice, quinoa and veggies
to-do: More food prep Taxes? I keep procrastinating.
