Good morning everyone! Diane -- good luck taking the stray kitty to the animal hospital! I just looked outside this morning and 2 stay cats were in my back yard -- the neighbor dog was barking his head off. It has been a long time since we had strays here. My 3 have been indoor only for YEARS. Magda -- I admire you getting so many things done and still keeping balanced - time for relaxing and helping with homework too + working outside your home!!!!!! ohblondie -- I hope the oven repair person does a great job as scheduled

Tuesday DONE: -- * up early to read (I'm caught up totally in Joy on Demand: by Chade-Meng Tan -- best book on meditation I've ever read -- I woke at 5 am thinking about reading more from it -- finally turned on the light at 6 am.... * shower * reviewed bullet journal list for today Mainly I'm focused on my meeting with the minister this morning. It may not have been the smartest thing ... I must be stronger than normal and NOT make any commitments at this meeting. I'm thinking of this meeting as a step on the road to investigating the possibilities for when I get back in May - and in further healing of the events that led to me leaving the spiritual community in late September. If her agenda does turn out to be heavily proportioned toward recruiting me for volunteering then it will be a deep disappointment. I feel I need to heal and rebuild - and I'm not ready to lead a team or take on a big job at this point. I may be totally disillusioned. My counselor encouraged me to meet with her even if I decide to stop going at all. At this point I just am frustrated by the pressure to volunteer - when the experiences of volunteering were so riddled with serious issues just 4 months ago and the same characters are still there. Yikes. I woke up wondering -- why -- why am I doing this? I'm off to write on an index card my sticking points. I have to have a line ready for saying NO or not at this time or let me think about it and get back to you after my trip.... something. If I'm pressured. Other things: library returns, grocery store, call mom, go to the YWCA to swim. * reviewed today's list in my bullet journal

Hi everyone Thanks Diane and Chris! I just try to keep chipping away. The daily stuff needs daily TLC !
Ohblondie I love road trips. Especially as part of my work day. Good luck w your oven
I too am doing the Lenten challenge and I am donating only my stuff. So 40 days of purging my personal belongings like clothes. I am doing it as a Christian told to " cloth the naked ". I am finding it a challenge to donate. I have lots if good clothes that no longer fit. Someone could use them! This is good to go against my greed to hang onto things I am not using. Each day is getting a little harder! I plan to persist !!!
Chris I hope it works out well for the stray cats. For your meeting w minister how about u promise yourself no commitments to be made today. You can just say no or I'll think about it. good luck
So far today the usual. Up showered dressed Cats fed and out and in. Bed made lunches packed. Dd dropped off at school
Nice balance of work time and meeting time on calendar. Here's hoping I am productive and motivated !!

Good morning Chris--yes, remember, no commitments today whether she pushes for one or whether she's being really nice and not pushing--either way, tell her you have to evaluate and get back to her after your trip.
I'm back from my senior client work, the cat is safely off to the vet, I got him into the small trap opening with absolutely no trouble, so again, I have no idea what that guy did to make him so afraid last time. I have to go out at noon to do another walk.
I'm now going to work in the kitchen for a while and see how much I can get done.

Diane - these are work related. We have to leave at O dark 30 (really early) but we will have some free time thurs night (we will hit the outlets....and practice self control) and we should be back by dinner tie Friday night.
Chris - good luck when you meet with your minister. We are getting a new minister. He is a professor and really smart but has limited (if any) experience preaching in the pulpit. I am sure he had to practice preach un divinity school and I am sure he has done some guest preaching.....I am nervous but remaining open minded.
I made a to do list. Now I just need to do it!

Magda - I love the occasional work trip. this one woman I travel with makes me crazy. Yesterday I pulled the official vehicle up to my car and jumped out to get the training materials. I turned around and she had jumped into the drivers seat. SO when we got back and she tried to give me the keys to bring back to turn in I said no. You drove - you return....
Another woman and I will split the driving thurs and fri and I will return the keys. The other woman always gets stuck bringing the keys back which is why I forced the pain woman to bring them back.
This pain in the butt woman gave a 2 1/2 hr presentation leaving me little time to do mine (which was OK) But she kept jumping into my presentation and giving the information. I finally took the powerpoint sheets and handed them to her and asked if she wanted to finish! That was probably wrong of me but she was annoying.... OK - I dumped - I feel better now....

Hi everyone the meeting with our new minister went so well -- it was amazing. She simply helped me with my intention of getting some spiritual guidance on how to become active again in the spiritual community -- pointing me to my own intuition and not once did she mention volunteering or pressure me which I thought was good. I did show her my time line of volunteering and caregiving since I first became a member and she loved my mind mapping process. It's hard to put in words how much better the meeting went than what I thought it was going to. It was along the caliber of counseling vs. meeting to try and get me to commit to anything. In fact her exact words were "I think you just need to focus on being rather than doing and if you do that - you'll know what interests you when you're ready". She didn't know I had taken so many classes - and one of her goals is to begin teaching -- she just can't do that until the new board is settled in and several other urgent things are taken care of. But classes will return eventually and that will be exciting. Thanks for listening to all my ups and downs about this. She offered more spiritual counseling anytime I want it and said that there are some exciting announcements coming soon - which may give several of us some ideas and opportunities. Those things will be announced Sunday. Ha! So she's good at suspense and now I will go to services to hear the announcement . DONE: * met with minister * stopped at store * ate lunch at home (was in a hurry .... weird lunch but oh well....I'll cook something better for supper) Next things are to call Mom and to go to the Y to swim! Looking forward to getting in the water even if for a few minutes.

I think you just need to focus on being rather than doing and if you do that - you'll know what interests you when you're ready"Well, I like that statement--I'm glad you had such a good meeting! I'm home from my walk, I had lunch and a short reading break. I'm very sleepy today, I keep thinking how nice it would be to lie down and take a nap. But I will make myself do something constructive instead. Back to the kitchen, maybe. Clean up lunch stuff Wash more dishes Start load of laundry PEEP computer desk Diane

That's great news, chris!
Got my haircut. It was pretty much exactly what I wanted--I went to the stylist because my friend said she paid close attention to her hair. I'm still having the "oh no it's shorter" sense of loss.
Had some time before DPs left the house, so I went to the local department store, in search of a strapless bra. I need to bring the dress in to see if the one they had in stock will work. The good news is I found a two piece bathing suit, with bathing shorts on the bottom. They are having a sale on crinkle-cotton shorts and capris, so I need for figure out which color to get and go back for that.
I have to be in "elegant casual" after 6:00 pm on this particular cruise. At least there are no "formal" nights (although DA plans on bringing her tiara just for fun.)
DONE: unload car bring laundry upstairs, sort boot laundry print out timesheets pour a cup of coffee
next up is to update my time sheets and check my @dps list.

Now I have to get ready to leave at a moment's notice, when my senior client calls to say she's leaving the animal hospital, so I can meet her at her house and carry the cat in. Then I will do the dog walk since I'll be there anyway.
I've gotten a lot done this afternoon, I hope I can keep going when I come home tonight.
