Phew . Today actually went as planned. ^_^
I made email enquiries with four possible employers, and wrote out how I will write the application for the first one . , in spite of much procrastination .. at least the procrastination was productive... the washing up and cooking seemed more fun than the serious and scary business of interviews and CHANGE
A few more curtains washed and ready to rehang on freshly cleaned windows
Still planned for today ---- get out from the attic more racks to put my young seeding on. some more washing up, and getting ready for tomorrow..... anything more than that this evening will be a bonus...

Hoo. I got everything done from earlier, plus I put away a load of laundry.
Next up: Flip laundry one last time Put away dry load Put rugs down
Unfortunately, I have to work on wet floors. Even if I just flip the laundry, I have to go through the living room. My feet don't look too dirty, though, so it shouldn't be too disastrous.

Folded and put away a load of laundry, have more washing and drying, and have the last breakfast dish soaking.
Next I'll pull the spices down from over the oven and get to tackling the spice project I've been procrastinating for forever. Or maybe I'll start the bakers rack project I've been procrastinating.

Got a few things done:
* cleaned the bathroom (toilet, mirror, sink, and mopped floor!) * washed towels and bath mat (in dryer & hanging out to dry now!) * Hung and folded jeans and shirts etc. * ran to store (caved about cooking the chicken!) and got the oven bags * said no to an out of town invite * sorted papers and continued 15 minute intervals on the paper and mess in the front bedroom * crocheted * lunch here
Next is call Mom then get the chicken in the oven. We will eat good and have leftovers -- DH took me to get the bags since he was excited about eating the chicken - we went to the really close store and were gone less than 20 minutes!)
It is a very good day!

Good afternoon everyone. You guys are getting so much done that I feel guilty! I've been home for a little while now, I'm tired and achy and have done nothing but eat lunch and read a book. I have a couple of hours before I have to go out again so I'm going to have to hoist myself out of this chair and do some work. Wind, your french toast sounds like something out of a gourmet magazine! Ohblondie, you can do it--put back only what you absolutely love into the closet and let go of the rest. Clean up lunch stuff Cat feeding Pigeon care PEEP in kitchen Diane

Diane, you work so hard. I think a little relaxation time, especially when you're not feeling 100%, is very important.
We didn't play outside long because my back is acting up, and there's nowhere to sit but the stoop. But, the boys enjoyed themselves at least.
Next up: Put away last load Empty trash
This evening: Make dinner Put away leftovers Help boys clean room Handwash dishes Dinner dishes to dw Bath for G Get boys to bed Return movie to video store

Thanks Pamela, it just feels like I have so much to do that when I'm home I should be doing something constructive. I know that my reading breaks keep me sane though--I guess that's important too! Next: PEEP sunporch and entryway Write out a greeting card to mail Start load of laundry Write draft of building email Diane

Good day everyone. Pamela, hope your back is better soon. Chris - your chicken sounds good. Diane - enjoy your reading break Today has been designated as newspaper day and I plan to get DH's approval to toss a whole lot of old papers. I also need to fold and put away clean laundry. But first I want to check out recipes for Baked French Toast wind - are you able to share your recipe source?

I found a,missing skirt!!! I was at the outlets last August and bought a navy skirt. I found it today. I shook off all the dog hair and hung it up. Never mind that I bought two navy skirts since then! (Different styles and materials and lengths)
Anyone here take Estroven for menopause?
I have also corralled the hangars together for the Rummage sale.
And I picked up all of the papers in the hallway.
Washed the crockpots and will get them put away next.

But first I want to check out recipes for Baked French Toast wind - are you able to share your recipe source? I just made it up a long time ago, although I've seen similar stuff on pinterest. It's almost the same thing as bread pudding, I guess. Basically it's just like making french toast in the skillet, except you stick the egged bread in a greased casserole dish (or anything similar) and then bake it at around 325 till it seems done. I make bread batter with eggs, a splash of milk, a cap-full of vanilla, and "some" (maybe a little under a quarter of a cup?) of sugar, a little cinnamon and a little nutmeg. The berries I used today were frozen, so I nuked them and mixed in some sugar about half way through thawing, and what I didn't put on the french toast before baking, I added maybe a tablespoon of cornstarch to and nuked some more to make the syrup.

Hello jendela! I like that today is newspaper day--newspapers are messy--getting them out will help a lot! Ohblondie, sounds like you're getting things done despite avoidance. I didn't finish my last list, because once I started writing the building email I wanted to finish it and send it out. It announces the annual meeting, and says that we need board members, but only ones that will have time to work and attend meetings. Because I know there are people in the building who want certain things done, and they sometimes try to get on the board just to vote on the things they want, and never show up again. I got the message written and sent out, so I'll see if there are any responses... The thing is--Because we have 4 non-resident owners, there are only 5 other people who could join the board. 2 are the ones I don't want on because they will do no work but will want a say in things being decided. (We have been down that road before.) Two of the others have flat out said they won't be on the board. That leaves one person. And our current board has 4 people, one of whom is moving out of state, one of whom does no work and one of whom (me) wants to leave the board. So the numbers don't add up. So, I guess by writing a firm email saying we must have board members who work, it will at least let people know that our situation is not good and that, #1, we will have to spend more money to pay people to do work here, and #2, they had better NOT COMPLAIN when things are not to their liking. If you don't like the way something is being done, volunteer to do the job yourself! Okay, I feel better after that little rant. Finish my prior list Give everyone fresh water Restock drinks in fridge Feed parakeets Diane
