Hello jendela! I had to look up redback spiders after reading your post. I see they're related to our black widow spiders (I don't know if I should say "our", I don't think we have them where I live, but I know they're in large parts of the US). I can see where you'd have to be careful handling things that have been sitting outside. While doing that I noticed the words "flying spiders" so I had to look those up--luckily, they are not really flying spiders, they are "gliding" spiders. And I don't think they're anywhere near me...
I have taken care of the birds and just have the cats left, then I will be getting to bed. Good night everyone, see you tomorrow!

good night Diane - it is interesting to learn that the redback is related to the black widow - ours seem to like hanging out in outdoor/yard clutter - so that is another reason to motivate me to keep on going until I reach my goal. Here the spiders don't seem to be a major issue provided you take sensible precautions, so nowadays I try to remember to always wear gloves, even for the littlest outside project, and also to be careful picking up pots, etc.
Eaten lunch, so now I need to motivate myself to go for a walk. And if I can drop something off at the op shop, then I will consider that a huge bonus.

Up and at 'em again this morning.
I hauled out the trash before I left for work. Trash can full and two recycle bins FULL!!
IF the weather cooperates - I think this weekend I am going to focus on clearing out the vehicle I am using. Hubster left some papers and such in it. It needs a good wipe down inside and I have "stashed" some items for hiding in there.
My aunt gave me items for the church Rummage Sale and I need to get those in my car so that I can bring them to church as well.
It is going to be bitter cold today and tonight. And I think rain and snow over the weekend - so - I will be in a holding pattern.
I have washed a bunch of "donate" clothes and I just need to bag them up and get them to church as well. My son cleaned his room and has two large boxes (think the big moving boxes) of clothes to go as well.
OK - I need to get moving here....

Good morning ohblondie! I have washed a bunch of "donate" clothes and I just need to bag them up and get them to churchYay! You're making a dent in your clothing! I had an early job this morning and I took my shopping cart along, so that afterwards I could go to Aldi's. I haven't been to the far away grocery in a while so I bought everything I could at Aldi's--there are some items they just don't have but I got a lot of what I needed. Most of my aches and pains from yesterday went away over night, now if I can spend a chunk of time doing tasks that I can do sitting this afternoon, hopefully I'll be able to get through tomorrow which will be just as busy as yesterday was. Today I have 3 walks in the late afternoon but I can stay home til about 4:00. Eat breakfast Wash cat food dishes Cat feeding Pigeon care Diane

Oh Diane - I just love love love Aldi's......I have not been there in awhile. But now that my freezer space is opening back up...well, I might be due for a visit!! What is your favorite product from Aldi's? I love the 9 (or is it 11) grain bread. I used to love their snacks. Well, I still do - I am just trying to not buy them anymore!

Ohblondie, I would say that out of all the products I normally use, maybe 4 out of 5 of the Aldi versions are as good or better than those bought elsewhere, and the price difference is huge. The things I buy the most often there are instant oatmeal and old-fashioned oatmeal, canned beans (black, garbanzo and chili style) and tomatoes, bagels, cream cheese, sliced/chunk cheese, hummus, and regular or instant brown rice. They even have quinoa products now! And they have a new veggie burger product that tastes like the ones that cost twice as much.
Actually, I didn't like their bread, even the ones that are whole grain seem overprocessed to me--I like the chunkier kind like Brownberry. And I remember buying their version of a cold cereal once that I didn't like as much, but that was many years ago so that may have changed. I've occasionally gotten produce there that wasn't wonderful, but on the other hand, sometimes it's great.
For anyone who hasn't shopped there, I think it's well worth trying a trip where you buy the Aldi version of items you would buy elsewhere. Try them, and you'll probably find lot of items you can get there at cheaper prices. I usually see at least one person in the checkout line who is obviously stocking up on basic items that they like, they'll have 6 or 8 of maybe 4 or 5 different products that they must make a special trip to stock up on.

I love their baking supplies (flour, sugar, baking soda and powder) and I love their instant and regular oatmeal. They have a delicious raspberry vinaigrette dressing too. When I bought it - the ice cream was good, the frozen hot pockets and other dinners as well. They had frozen meals that you popped open and cooked up in big pan. I also liked their fancier frozen pizza (flatbread maybe?) I still get their beans for chili. I never liked their canned soups. Nor did I like the traditional boxed cereals (cheerios and rice krispies) I did like their granola and granola type cereals. Till I read the sugar content.
In their "special Buy" aisle I have gotten great drying racks. I sent them with the kids when they went off to college. You could assemble the rack then take it apart and put it back in the small box. Easier to move that way!
Oh my - I am going on and on about shopping.....

Aldi has great boxed couscous. We always get the roasted garlic flavor. It's one of the few things both boys will eat.
I'm having trouble moving today. I stayed up too late, and now I'm very tired. I've got my coffee, though, so hopefully that'll help put some pep in my step.

Hi everyone. I love Aldis. It saves me serious money. I generally go there first for my shopping then to the posh grocery for what I don't buy at Aldis. cat food always from the posh store I had a colleague drive me to the garage yesterday so I could pick up my car it was all fixed. But costly. Nice to have a car fixed though. Last night l had company so I did not do any extras. I did dishes and left a shiny sink. Cleaned cat litter. Today dd decided to buy lunch so I did not make that. Made bed. Fed cats got ready. Dropped dd at school At work I had a pretty productive morning I am way behind on my consignment sale. Tonight I hope to spend one hour on it. I also am having trouble w the lent challenge now. I did the 17 days w 17 donations of my clothes. I had been doing closet purging on and off for awhile. Now finding 23 thins to donate seems hard. As I said I am not a clothes hoarder. What I plan to do is find 23 things and put in a tote. And them see if I can do a donation of them at the end of lent. I do have clothes that don't fit. At this point they are in three categories. Almost fit so maybe in realm of possibility. Treasured memories. Clothes I just love that are well made I think I'll take all of the smallest size stuff and put in tote and see I do want to complete this challenge!!!

I'll have to look for that next time, I think I would like that. I forgot to say that in the fall, when they get their big stock in, I buy enough canned pumpkin to last me the whole year. I give a small amount to my cats twice a day (with a feeding syringe) to help their constipation. The price for a can is always half or less than what the large grocery stores are charging.
Magda, I'm glad your car is fixed. Sorry about the cost, though.
