Got the boys post-school stuff squared away. Now I'm making dinner. I was going to make pork chops, but they had gone bad before I got to them. It's only been 5 days, but apparently that was enough. So, instead, I'm making pasta salad and tomato sandwiches. T will have Easy Mac. Not the healthiest of dinners, but I have to work with what I've got.

Pamela, I don't have any kids, but I've often thought about the problem of picky eaters. As an adult, I know that being forced to eat food that I didn't like would be abhorrent to me, so I wouldn't ever want to force a child to eat something. On the other hand, it's your job to make sure that they're meeting their minimum basic nutritional needs, so you obviously can't let them eat whatever they want. And you don't want to get into the habit of giving in to every whim, because then you'll have real problems as time goes on. So, you have my sympathy, trying to deal with your picky eaters! Well, I'm home, and I'm SO glad this busy week is over! Tomorrow I only have 2 jobs, one first thing in the morning and the other at 5:30. And, in the morning, I have to take my shopping cart and go pick up my little library kit, which is finally ready! I hope it fits into the shopping cart...because the place I have to pick it up is pretty far away. I had hoped to go to the far away grocery store tomorrow, and it's in the same direction, but if the kit fills up my cart there won't be room for any groceries. I'm achy again, but I know I'll feel better after a night's sleep. Finish dinner Clean up after dinner Delete 50 emails PEEP computer desk Diane

You expressed perfectly my frustrations. I don't want to force them to eat something they don't like, but they have to eat more than just mac & cheese or cereal every day. If it weren't durn near everything, I wouldn't be bothered by it. But, there are only a handful of dishes my oldest will eat. G won't eat many more. They're glad to know that I've kind of given in. Now I make dinner and, if they don't like it, they can have cottage cheese or a peanut butter sandwich. That way they're getting some nutrition and some fat. I'm a little afraid of one or both of them losing weight.
Next up: Bath for G Get boys ready for bed Shower - I never did last night because they boys were in one of their "we're not going to stay in bed if we can avoid it" moods. Dry hair

Hi all-
I pretty much haven't done anything but work and sleep since Wednesday morning when I had to put my dog to sleep. I did manage to start a load of laundry (needs to be changed over this morning) and I washed up the few dishes that I have made. I still really don't feel like doing anything at all. I will try to get myself back to a normal routine this weekend.

Good morning shells, I hope you can get a few things done today. I'm finally home--I went out to my morning job, then walked over to pick up the little library kit. It's a bit intimidating, because it's very rough looking. But the hardware is included, so I'm sure I can figure it out. There was room left in my shopping cart, so I went on to the grocery store and got the things that I can't get at Aldi's. Now I'm home and feel wiped out, mainly because it's WARM out there. Like, summer warm. This is such crazy weather. I'm glad I don't have to go out til late afternoon, hopefully it'll have cooled off a little by then. I'm going to eat breakfast now. Diane
