I pushed the button to open the garage door. I stepped out there...walked right through to the outside. The I started cleaning up straightening up things in the yard. The next time I go out there. I'm going to work on decluttering the garage.

Hello casperI did go out there...instead of finding something to purge, I did another load of laundry. Fight or flight...flight this time.

The garage: Day Two How can I get rid of this stuff: We put out the garbage on Wednesday night for Thursday morning pickup. Right now, I have 1 wheelie bin full and 1 recycle bin half full. I have another wheelie bin to fill up and I can also leave bulky items on the curb to be picked up by the boom truck (the claw) for no additional charge (Sweet, I know) My van has a substantial amount of donations that need to be taken. Luckily, the donation only place is close by. I will be consolidating donations for easy drop off. I can also put the overage in black bags and put the bags on a hauling trailer. If I need to go to the dump and pay for disposal of these bags or anything else, it is not a problem. Ultimately, I want to reduce the garage's stuff by 75 percent..... That means that the contents of the garage will be only 1/4 filled up. No more nice lady...For this project to get done, I will have to bring in Towanda.

Going through my first cardboard box right now. This stuff belongs to my first grandson (5) much of this he has outgrown in terms of books, toys and clothing. I've got this one.

I have "gone through" 3 storage boxes total today. Much of this has made it to trash. A few things have made it to the van for donation. A few things are being saved for now. I know I have to be ruthless to get through this.

Or I could "hire a skip" as the English would say. I learned that on" How Clean is Your House." One of my favorites. Well, today I made a plan of how to handle the "surplus" as thoughtfully as possible without doing it perfectly (I'm not getting any younger here) Let me just go ahead and claim amnesty; amnesty for trashing perfectly good stuff ( ) amnesty for donating something that I should probably trash (I'll try very hard not to) amnesty for getting rid of something I should have kept amnesty for "fill in the blank" and Time over technique. Spring has sprung here on the Sunny Gulf Coast. The birds are singing, the bumble bees are doing their thing and I want to enjoy myself and not be self loathing over the housework. Join me.

my FAVE term is "wheelie bin" I have no problem putting trash in one! they always have old gents hiding behind them in English TV comedies... The funny older show " The Vicar of Dibley" with the comedienne.. Dawn French - has been so funny all her life.. www.imdb.com/title/tt0108981/and I call the hand truck the "trolley" work goes easier with Brit-slang

My garage is terrible. For one thing, it's overrun with spiders- webs everywhere. I'm phobic about spiders! And, just before Christmas, I had to quickly empty my bedroom in order to have a new floor installed. I just put everything into Totes storage boxes and piled them in the garage. My daughter ventured in there recently and said there's a lot of old broken furniture in there. I know I shoud just get the big junk hauled away but I'm tight on cash right now. I could probably put some of it out with my regular trash collection twice each week. And get those Totes emptied. if I haven't miseed the junk from my bedroom, I don't need it. A lot could probably go quite easily. My daughter said we should wait until spring, then pile the furniture at the curb. People driving by might take some of it, and then I'd pay to have the rest removed. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

Cudos Jannie for planning to get rid of the garage clutter. If you want a thrill...check your can on garbage day ...if there is any space left, put something from the pile in there. You'll be like or like
