Good morning everyone! After a busy week I now have 2 half days--only my mid-day senior client work both today and tomorrow. I plan to catch up on things AND get some reading breaks! The board member who gave us short notice of moving out of state left yesterday, with a couple of projects undone, so they now fall to me. Like, deciding between two pest control proposals for a new company to hire, and filling out a questionnaire about the building for someone who's refinancing (for their lender) which he said he would take care of because he knew some of the answers I didn't know. Good thing it's going to be a light work weekend. Scoop litter pans Make bed Pigeon care Eat breakfast Diane

great start to your weekend, dtesposito! WTG! i had a busy week here too and things are about to get much busier. i'm not sure how to use the workalong threads so i will state my weekend goals here: 1) order seeds 2) work in my garden - finally! a day without rain where i have some time to do something outdoors! 3) get the tall wooden shelf OUT of the entry hall and moved to storage, where it'll do some good! (with help) 4) work on huge piles in LR 5) transplant 4 geraniums; two new, two dug up and left for dead in someone else's garden (i'm not convinced!) i better stop there. the rest is the rest. whatever else i get done will be a bonus - as long as i utilize the time i have to get SOMETHING done on each project and improving the state of the apartment!

Another late start today. But, I've started later and gotten everything done, so I'm not too concerned. I'm feeling better this morning. Not sure why. I took Emergen-C, but I can't imagine that working quickly. According to Google, it doesn't even work at all. I did get loads of sleep, so that probably helped. Maybe it was just having the air on. I don't know. Not complaining, though.
Done: Ate breakfast Showered Brushed hair Dressed
Next up: Get T dressed (G already got dressed) Sort laundry Start wash load

Just got back from running a few errands downtown. I am trying hard not to have an afternoon nap so as to get my sleep cycle into some kind of normalcy. Ha.
I'm behind on laundry and the weekend is the time to do it here due to electricity costs. So that's the plan for today and tomorrow -- about 9 nine loads to catch up. (x 9)
I am also going to march into my library and find books for the Lent donations.
dtesposito, Pamela, creativechaos and puppybox -- let's do this thang!

I understand the short attention span problem, Puppybox. I get that when I'm in a mood episode.
I got the kitchen all cleaned up and flipped the laundry. I need to go back down in ten minutes.
Next up: Tidy living room Tidy bathrooms Tidy master room Tidy desk Flip laundry Fold load 1

Have yet to march into the library, but did find one more softcover book here in my bedroom.

I'm chugging along. Done with almost all my dailies. Still need to unload the dw and, of course, supervise the boys in cleaning their room.
--Oops. Forgot to finish this post.--
Well, I got the delicates hung and started the dryer-safe clothes drying. Also, put away the light load.

Good afternoon, folks! Puppybox, I hope your hair is now squeaky clean! Mynicehome, I hope you're still doing laundry, taking advantage of the weekend rates. CC, I hope your shelf has been moved to your storage unit, and Pamela--I hope you have avoided the flu! I stayed longer at my mid-day senior client's house, I moved the shy cat upstairs and the friendly cat downstairs--luckily my senior client had to go out somewhere so I was able to do it calmly. I had to get the shy cat into a carrier, which, with the help of a blanket and crawling headfirst into his cage, I was able to accomplish. He went upstairs to be let loose in the bedroom, so we can see how he reacts to us out of a cage, but without letting him loose in the whole house. The friendly cat came down to be in the large cage in the kitchen to see how he reacts to the other cats and dog. The shy cat was very friendly with the other animals who came up to his cage, so he will eventually come out of the bedroom and should be able to get along with everyone. However, when I opened the carrier up there he just stayed in the back, so I left the room so he could come out at will. When I came back later he was hiding, and I couldn't find him. There's a lot of junk in that room, but it's all packed very tightly together so there aren't that many hiding places--he found one though--cats are amazing when it comes to finding hiding places. He had become much friendlier in the cage, he would let us pet him although he wanted to come up to us--he would still growl and swat if we approached him when he wasn't ready. I spent about an hour cleaning the cage out between cats, the powdered litter mixed with spilled water and made a paste on the floor. My senior client just kept putting newspapers on top of it instead of trying to clean it, so I had to scrape, soak, wipe, scrape, soak, wipe...etc. I finally got it nice and clean, and put the friendly cat into it. I think he'll be happy seeing people and the other animals all the time. And if he seems to be okay with the other animals he'll probably come out of the cage soon. I asked my senior client, now that both cats were neutered, if she was going to try to get them into a shelter. She said no. So I said--so they're staying for now? She said yes. So...I guess they'll be permanent residents if they get along with everyone else. I know the shy cat will, I'm hoping the friendly cat does. I'm really tired now though, crawling around on the floor trying to clean the cage, then running up and down from the 2nd floor to the basement many times for supplies, wore me out. Luckily I'm home for the day now. I've eaten lunch and had a short reading break, so I need to push myself to do some work. Motivation follows action...or so they say!
