I'm glad to have all the laundry done. The boys earned $.50 each for helping me unload the dw. I could have done it more quickly myself, but I think it's important to have them help me out. I wish I could open the windows, but it's raining. Probably a bit chilly for that anyway. DH opened the kitchen blinds for me while I was doing dishes. He knows that that little act makes a huge difference in my mood, and I was feeling a major case of the I-don't-wannas. It helped.
Next up: Make dinner with DH - Za'tar spiced chicken and bulgar. It came in our Blue Apron kit. I'm a bit nervous about it, but according to Google Za'tar is not spicy. Dishes to dw Put away leftover

Pamela, we've had rain on and off all day and it's not over yet. I had to walk the dog today in the rain, which he hates, so it was a very short walk. I don't know if it's raining right now but it's very grey outside so if it's moving west to east you'll have grey weather for a while yet.
I think I'm now going to start at the front end of my apartment and PEEP backwards. When I do this, sometimes I just take care of the obvious things, other times I get involved in the details, so I think I'll just start and see how it goes. I will report ta-das instead of to-dos.
I'm up to 1700 on my email deletion so I still have a chance of getting to 2000 today, except that I'm doing lots more easy ones that hard ones so lots of hard ones will be left for later.

Okay, I'm calling it a day as far as the to-do list goes. I've got three loads to fold and put away, one is still in the dryer and one is in the wash. I'll kick start the laundry with those two tomorrow.
I marched into the library, got overwhelmed but stayed with a stack of books and got 4 hardcovers out. Not easy. I am attached to my books. I do have a lot of shelving for a lot of books, but I've got just that too many. Those have to go.
So I'm alright with today's accomplishments. I knew I'd be splitting them into today and tomorrow, and tomorrow is another day! Onward!
Sending you all good vibes and lots of energy!

Hi everyone. Happy weekend! I love weekends I woke up really early unfortunately as this is my only day to sleep in just a tad. I had four errands to run this morning. I love running errands on the weekend . I love the freedom of being able to do them versus the work week w such limited time and no flexibility so I had fun driving to four places and getting some things done Made lunch for dd and me. Fed cats. Did dishes. Recycled mail Dropped dd at friends Went grocery shopping. Put all groceries away. I am about to have a salad for dinner. Then I have to crank on my consignment sale work. Now or never , I've revised my goal. More realistic. I can't get angry about it. I do the best I can. Anything I get out will make me happy ! Snow is melting here revealing huge branches that fell during a storm. I'll need to hire someone to so the clean up. Diane I am glad the cats are doing well. Will it be ok for them to live w the senior client?

I'm annoyed. I didn't get any time off today. DH spent most of the day on his computer; now he's going over to his friend's house. His friend is feeling lonely, though, so it's a good thing he's going over. I guess I had a little fun yesterday, going to the library. But that wasn't time to myself. Oh well. I guess mothers aren't supposed to have much time to themselves.
Anyway, next up: Supervise room-cleaning for boys Bath for G Get boys ready for bed

Hi magda, it sounds like you're enjoying your weekend so far! As far as the cats go, it sounds like she's keeping them for now, which probably means keeping them permanently. In the last year, she found a stray cat and a stray dog, and immediately got them into shelters. For some reason she's not eager to do that with these, probably because she's been spending more time with these and they are both endearing, in their own ways. Her place is a mess and is dirty--but honestly, the cats don't mind the mess at all, and as long as the dirt isn't dangerous I think they're fine. I'm the one who keeps the litter boxes clean, and I try my best to keep their food bowls and dishes clean--which is sometimes a fight, because she'll use the same dirty food dishes and keep putting food on them. Before I came she also never changed the water in the water bowls and never cleaned them--she would just keep pouring more water into the bowls. You can imagine how gross that got. But I change and clean them, so as long as I keep working for her, the animals will have clean dishes and pans. She provides plenty of food, and when they get sick she takes them to the vet (not as often or as quickly as I would, but she does get them there). So...I think they're fine. AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT PERMANENTLY IN CAGES. Which I'm making sure doesn't happen. Okay, I guess I'm on details today, since I never got past my computer desk, which is only about 10 feet from the front of the apartment. PEEPed sunporch Refilled water containers in kitchen Washed cat food dishes Went downstairs to check for mail, none yet PEEPed computer desk Sorted and put away a bunch of miscellaneous books Looked up a painting I saw in a book because it reminds me of a recurring dream I have! It's by Edward Hopper, Rooms By The Sea. I'll have to get a print someday. Went down for mail again, this time it was here but apparently the mail carrier had no protection for the mail since it was all wet from the rain. Opened and dealt with mail Deleted some more emails Stopping for dinner now. Diane

Pamela, tell your DH to take the kids with him to his friend's house, then his friend won't be lonely. Diane

The boys are in bed. I'm not so tired tonight that I can't have some me-time. I wish my laptop weren't dying, so I could watch Star Trek from the comfort of my bed. Maybe the cord will reach the outlet. I'll give it a shot. Anyway, I'm done for the night. Have a good one!

Good night Pamela, what Star Trek do you watch?
I finished the emails! Of course, I left a lot of hard ones. I did decide to just delete many that I had intended to read, which is probably a wise thing, so I'm happy about that.

Where is Chris today? And shouldn't scholar be back from her cruise pretty soon? I just have to take care of the cats and I'll be ready for bed early. I think I will take the opportunity to get some reading done. Good night, and see you all tomorrow! Diane

I'm watching The Next Generation. I've probably seen every episode, but several of them would have been when I was very young, so the series is like-new to me for the most part.
