Normally I sell everything I "dehoard" from my home but the consignment shops are spring-cleaning. I also ran into a friend/neighbor up the street yesterday who wants to have a running yard sale/home thrift shop going. I had all this stuff piling up in the house and as it grew, so did my anxiety. So I took it down there and donated it to her. I'm rounding up some more stuff to take to her too. It feels so good to give! It's Lent also so it's traditional:)

ohblondie It feels nice to give it away instead of sell it. I'm used to the mentality that I have to turn some kind of profit and that all of my hoard is an investment. Sometimes it's better just to give:)

I'm a vintage clothing and accessories collector, but sometimes a hoard us just a hoard.

closetofchaos...this is my problem. I think if I could get $5/box for all the boxes I have, well, I'd be rich! I have been grateful for being able to purchase nice clothes for my kids at rummage sales and thrift shops etc. Why can't I pay it forward and just donate the stuff? Maybe I need to be hypnotized!!!

ohblondie I've found all kinds of high-end designer clothes for my son at those kinds of places. The kid was going around looking like a model . That, and eBay . We were always obsessed with clothes! Then he goes and marries a woman who is not materialistic so maybe my grandson won't share that obsession and be more of a giver and not looking to turn a profit all the time like his Nan .

Of course they are going to live a lot better than I was ever to give my son, so my grandson won't be as obsessed with money. He won't need to be.

Dropped off more books at used bookstore and donated more stuff to friend's thrift shop. Also took more stuff to consignment.
