Thanks for starting us off Womble!!
We had a beautiful day yesterday and today might be nice as well. They are predicting a rainy week for us - soaking rain....
I went to run a load of laundry last night and realized hubby unplugged the washer when he grabbed the extension cord light. So I will have to do that tonight.
He did track the source of an annoying leak in our rental apartment and now I have to keep on him to fix it permanently. It has a temporary fix for now.
I washed all of the dishes in the sink yesterday. the annoying lingering ones. I also wiped down the toaster oven to put it away. the counter is nice and clear now. I burned a pretty candle and the kitchen smelled great - as long as you stayed away from the garbage can!
Sometimes I feel all I do is wipe things! the fridge and handles, the counter, the stove, the sink, the toilet, etc.....

Good morning! Yay for sun!
What I've done so far:
--Walked and took my pills --Called Meals on Wheels to suspend deliveries until further notice --Put knee-high stockings in the sink to soak --Ordered an extra large file tote to start moving my mother's files into. Whether she stays in assisted living (with the house being vacant), or comes back to the house and we need to hire outside help, I want all of her sensitive documents out of there asap --Last night I ordered her a few more pairs of knit pants, some more socks, and two nightgowns. A lot of what she has at home is ratty, and I wouldn't want her seen in it at this facility. Everyone else in the Assisted Living section is dressed so nicely!
I have two leftover to-dos from yesterday:
--Stop at Mom's house and bring back groceries from her house that will just go bad if we don't use them --Watch some Eastenders online for my own sanity (yay, Britbox!)
More to-dos for today: --It's the day to put out trash and recycling at my mother's house, and I'm going to try to get as much out as I can, plus some things for Goodwill. DH is coming down also and will work on getting some brush in the yard picked up, and help me get the inside trash out to the curb. Also removing cash and valuables from the house since I don't know how long it will be vacant. --A Shoprite trip for things I couldn't get at Aldi --Fill out some health info forms for the assisted living facility --Remember to take a shower! --Visit mom!

Good Monday morning to one and all! It's grey here and looks like it's going to rain at any minute, but I've finished my AM walk and a quick trip to the local store for one item I needed, so I'm now home--let it rain! I don't have to go out again until late afternoon, although the forecast says it will rain then too. Womble, thanks for starting the thread. Ohblondie, you DO constantly wipe things--and clean things, etc. That's what housework is. Some days it's very hard to summon up enthusiasm to clean the same sink for the ten thousandth time... Dusty, tell us about Britbox, that sounds like something I would love! Scoop litter pans Make bed Pigeon care Eat breakfast Diane

I must remember to call and schedule a dr's appointment.......
I reviewed some casework and I am taking down the papers/notes hanging in my cubicle. Tossing what isn't important and passing along what might be. I also emptied my bulletin board. I passed along one binder with instructions on how to review cases to my employee, and set aside a folder on another project for her.
I already packed up the knickknacks and pictures. Now to go thru the books and do a through sort and donate.

Sometimes I feel all I do is wipe things! the fridge and handles, the counter, the stove, the sink, the toilet, etc..... Blondie, look at it this way, as long as you are wiping regularly, you won't have to scrub the gunk off.

Good morning Ima! How is your kitchen work going?
Ohblondie, are you moving offices again already? Or is there more work being done there?
I could not finish my greeting card project because I'm going to have to sort another whole shoebox of cards that I apparently had tucked away far under my desk...I tell you, squirrels have nothing on me.

imamess..this is true....I just feel like I am the only one that has the operating manual for the sponge. As well as the only one with the recipe for the ice cubes! Diane - I got a promotion and I am leaving this office (after moving here in June, then moving out and back in for the carpet install) and moving to an office closer to my house. A 15 minute bus commute with only one bus! One would think that with packing up twice - I would have culled out some stuff. Time to cull more I guess!

I am the only one that has the operating manual for the sponge. As well as the only one with the recipe for the ice cubes! Ohblondie, that's wonderful--congratulations! You'll have so much more time with the shorter commute! When do you start the new job? Next: Take a photo of the partially finished LL to show someone who asked about it Wash more cat food dishes PEEP computer desk and LR Send another client email Diane

www.britbox.com/It just went live last month--it's great. Our public TV station dropped Eastenders some years ago, and ever since then I've been looking for a workable, legal way to watch it. It was on BBC America for awhile, then they dropped it--and we would have had to spend a lot more on cable tv to even get that channel. Then it was available on one of the satellite tv services, but I couldn't see signing up for that when we already had cable, and and anyway eventually they dropped it, too. The BBC has had it online for years on their iplayer platform, but you couldn't legitimately watch it that way in the US. I'm not big on soap operas, but I've always found EE highly addictive. And it's funny, after all these years, many of the same characters are still on and I've been able to get caught up in it again very quickly. It's $6.99 a month and you can try it free for a week first. They have a lot of other shows, too, but I haven't had time to explore much beyond EE. Still to do --Stop at Mom's house and bring back groceries from her house that will just go bad if we don't use them --Watch some Eastenders online for my own sanity (yay, Britbox!) --It's the day to put out trash and recycling at my mother's house, and I'm going to try to get as much out as I can, plus some things for Goodwill. DH is coming down also and will work on getting some brush in the yard picked up, and help me get the inside trash out to the curb. Also removing cash and valuables from the house since I don't know how long it will be vacant. --Visit mom Done! A Shoprite trip for things I couldn't get at Aldi Remember to take a shower! Fill out some health info forms for the assisted living facility (I've done all I can do for today. A couple need to be signed by my mother, herself, or it's something I have to ask her about. Like whether she wants her photo used in their publicity!)
