Hi everyone. Going to have to claim amnesty on reading today. At this point of the day, I am tired! The usual morning. Up and ready for work. Bed made. Cats fed and out and in. Dropped dd at school. Work was busy. I had to run a little workshop type event in the morning. I stopped first and bought refreshments. Had about one hour to prep and get room ready. Lots of hand outs to organize. It went well and took about two hours. Went to the gym at lunch. I really enjoy the total removal of myself from the work environment. Though it is quite hectic to get there, change, work out, shower , dress and get back to my office in one hour, it is my little spa moment. When I take my very brief but hot shower, it is such a luxurious moment for me to be quiet and free of all responsibility for a few moments. calling my grungy little gym a luxurious spa! In the afternoon I had quite a bit of paperwork to submit for my workshop. It is not due right away but I made a firm decision to do it now -early - and be done w it rather than rush on deadline day. That has been my usual habit. Also made a difficult call to a vendor and moved a few things along. I had to rush out right on time to get to a parents meeting at dd school. Then we had to stop at another mom's house to pick something up. I did not know her at all. We had talked earlier by phone and she said come on over. Her house was spotless. Pristine. In a very welcoming. And in a warm way too. But perfect and decorated w care. After that I came home and cooked dinner Did the dishes Cleaned the litter Started a load of laundry Now I have a cat nestled against me Hope everyone had a good day

It looks like you did, too, Diane.
I got the boys to bed. Kinda. G is having trouble with going to sleep. However, that's no longer my problem. Here shortly, I will be going to bed. I'm wiped.
I just need to finish my nighttime routine, and then I'll hit the hay. Goodnight, everyone. I hope you all get good sleep when you're there.

Good morning! As I promised myself, I was in bed by 9 last night, and I read until 10. I got a full 8 hours sleep and feel a little more awake today. I went to my AM walk and am now eating breakfast. I'm already looking forward to next week, I have one person out of town but that's only 5 extra walks spread across the week, so it will be easier than this week. I feel like I have so much to catch up on. Finish breakfast Clean up from breakfast Pigeon care Scoop litter pans Diane

Hi, it was a busy morning here. First, I drove DH out to the lab for some fasting blood work. Came home, started some laundry and the dishwasher. Then ran over to meet my mom at her primary care doctor for a post ER follow-up. A van from the assisted living place brought her in a wheelchair; the aide with her has worked there a long, long time and had lots of good info to share. By the time I got home, it was time for lunch, then DH and I took a short walk. I want to get one thing done on the computer related to taxes, then I'm going to shower and put on fresh clothes and head down to my mother's house. dtesposito I still don't know if we can convince my mother to stay at the facility permanently. Right now she's there in a special rehab program, prepaid for one month. No matter how things end up, there's a lot I need to do in the house before the month runs out.

Good morning dusty! Yes, I'm sure that when your mom starts feeling better she'll want to go back to her house. She's very lucky to have you helping her.
I'm home from mid-day work, but I have to go pick up the rest of the plants from my neighbor, and also look at her ceiling because she thinks there's a leak. I will have to tell her she has to get a plumber because I'm not calling a plumber for her!
Then I think I'm going to go to the local hardware store and see if I can find some kind of caulking material that doesn't require a caulk gun. It's going to be warm over the weekend so I want to get as many outside trips done today as possible while it's still cool--I stayed an extra half hour at my senior client's, raking leaves in her front yard.
And speaking of yards, I saw the most beautiful thing--someone's entire front yard, every inch of it, was packed with scillas--I don't know how they multiplied that fast because I don't remember them being there last spring. Beautiful!
I'm not sure if I mentioned that the crows are back, and there's one that seems to remember me and follow me around. Well, today, instead of being in a tree, this crow was sitting on a rock in a garden right on the corner when he saw me. He hopped down from the rock, walked to the street corner, stood there waiting until a car went by, then walked across the street towards me, right in the middle of the cross walk! I gave him some peanuts and he picked them up and flew off. I LOVE CROWS!

Wow, it's slow in here today--is everyone working hard and not able to post? Or not working at all and afraid to post? I went up to my neighbor's and knocked on her door, but no one answered, even though I told her what time I would come. So I went out to the hardware store for caulk for the little library, then I went to the (big) library to pick up two books that were being held for me, and then I went to Walgreens to buy some ice cream because I've been craving it ever since the dental trip, when I was thinking about things it would be easy to eat with a sore mouth. Even though my mouth is not sore anymore... So I came home, I sent an email to my neighbor giving her a time later today and one tomorrow when I could come over. And now (after I finish my ice cream) I'm going to get some work done. Finish my delicious snack Cat feeding Empty out and put away bags Record new library books on list Diane
