This is different than the SoS Glossary. These are some things my messy friend and I say about ourselves and the messes we make. It's not to enable ourselves but to add levity to what we know is a problem. We're encouraging each other in the meantime. Ok, here are a few things we like to say: 1. "I am the Lord of My Hoard." It's true. After all, I did make the mess. I have dominion over it and I own all of it . 2. My friend is the "Sultana of Shoes." She has, since I've known her for over 30 years, had a ton of shoes. I can't say I'm not jealous but I had a ton of vintage coats, most of which I've sold in the past eight years. Her shoe collection is outstanding. We can't find most of them but she's always had a ton of them! 3. "Dusturbia." That's me whenever I clean. Even after I have cleared my home to a comfortable, liveable, unembarassing level, there's still all this dust and I'm not sure why. If I ever have to change my screen name, that's what it's going to be. 4."Werewolf Weed Warrior" That's me in the backyard being sneaky throwing out rubbish in the middle of the night. There's a homeless guy going through our dumpster at the same time. It's a true story. It happened 2 nights ago. 5. "Master of My Mess" That's like being Master of your own destiny when your own destiny includes owning the fact you (ME)need to clean up after yourself. Stuff actually gets accomplished, despite my trepidation. You'd think the doubt would go away after so many successes day in and day out of improving my problem, however slowly. The insecurity stays with you though if you've had the problem longterm. It does with me, anyway, and my mess is more or less under control now. def6 said "Hole in the Hoard" in one of her posts. It made me picture a mole or something and put a smile on my face. That's what it's like sometimes:)
