Hi, I'm glad to be here. I'm a messy person, I've always been messy. I'd say we are between 3-4. My problem is that we get to a 1 or 0 and a week later were back to the mess. We can't maintain. I get overwhelmed. I'm also battling a good addiction so maybe that has something to do with it as well. Hopefully I can get better.

Hello and welcome , I can relate very much to the title of your post, I had felt I must be unhinged to get into the situation I had in my home, but the forum does provide a common sense ways to change old habits , and reach towards recovery in a practical way... Oh yes Maintenance is like The Holy Grail on here .  . It still bemuses me how some people can achieve it seemingly automatically.... Look forward to seeing your posts on the main forum. xx |

bighips , hello! Welcome to the forum. I think it's important to remind yourself not to label you, you are not a messy person. You are a nice person with a certain problem that can be solved! You are not your mess. It's a nice forum, with knowledgeable people, willing to help and I am sure you will find the solutions that are for you and only you! They are always personal and you can find your way to them with a little help! It only takes baby steps to regain your confidence again and begin to tackle the routines!
