Welcome to the "Whatchamacallit" Thread -- kind of a weekly blog and/or list thread.
Welcome! Feel free to join us here. There are no "rules". Post daily, weekly, or occasionally. Post your to-dos, or your ta-das, or a sentence or two ... or whatever works for you!You can be as chatty or as self-focused as you need to be. Some chattily exchange comments and support, and use this as a "group action blog". They enjoy the camaraderie. Others remain completely and quietly focused on ONLY their own tasks -- and seeming to ignore everyone else. They just need to stay focused on getting things done. Both approaches are fine here! This thread has no expectations that we come back and cheer each other on. This is a week-long thread. Members from DIFFERENT TIME ZONES can post TOGETHER on a single thread, without worrying if you are on the "correct" day's thread. We intentionally make each week's thread dated "Sunday through Sunday" so that you can post however/whenever you feel comfortable -- (and you have full permission to optionally post your "Sunday tasks" on more than one thread and claim double credit!) HOW to post: Any way you like! NOTE: Lists not required! This is NOT a "cookie-cutter" thread. Posts can have different styles.🚃 The focus is action -- post however best works for you.All of us are in unique situations. Some work full/part time, some don't work outside the home, some work from home, some take care of other people, some are students, some have lots of kids, some are living alone and have themselves to take care of, some folks are depressed, have ADD/ADHD --- whatever the situation is. We all want to declutter/desqualor and/or maintain. Just do what might work for you.
Some of us just know that we do better listing Ta-das, and seeing our Ta-das at the end of the day or week. Even if in baby steps... this shows us that we did do something and/or are working on it. Sometimes it can be surprising to see all you did in one day. Or sometimes, you may end your day but be able to say: "I may not have gotten much done today but I did do this ____."
Motivation Follows Action!
This thread can go hand-in-hand with other threads such as the WITs (Working in Threes) thread or the "Ten-Minute-Sessions" thread, etc. -- for those who may want to track their weekly accomplishments.
Remember: Amnesty! It is not even required to come back and cheer each other on.
No requirements at all !!!
Have a great week, everyone! Together We Can!
with thanks to cando and sidestep

I used to participate in this thread!
I got a terrible start for today, which is my first work day after holidays. It was not terrible otherwise, I just slept way, way too late, after I got my sleep rhythms mixed up during my free week+.
So, my workday will take me all evening, but when I've done, I will want to try and salvage my wool blend coat. It got shrunk in the last wash, I don't know what I did differently from all the other washes to be honest. I want to try if I can manage to stretch it back few centimeters.
My home also needs vacuuming, but we'll see if I manage to do that - maybe while the coat is in the washing machine.
ETA: I really need to clip my dog's nails today too!

OK I have most of my paid work (for today) done, I will now take a walk with my dog, then put the wool blend coat in washer (with conditioner! I read it relaxes the fibres for easier stretching!) and while it's there I will work one more session of paid work and I need to eat too. It's too late then to vacuum, etc, so those will be projects for another day.

Dog has been walked, tummies have been filled, and the problematic coat has been put into the washer (with hair conditioner!). It's only about 1 cm that I need to re-stretch it, I think it's doable.

Thank you, I think I stretched the coat enough that the lining doesn't show anymore. I can hopefully get a year or two more out of that coat!

Good going, Serendipity!
For this weekend I want to:
- we have a dog "date", we are meeting a possible new friend for my dog. We are going to take a walk (me and my dog, and the new dog-owner pair), I hope it will go well! My dog desperately needs a friend of the dog kind. - collect and take out trash - wash dishes - vacuum - wash floor - wash laundry - iron clothes - manicure - couple of hours of "work-work"

Thank you, I hope so too! I am going to meet the dog and his owner in 15 minutes, I am a bit nervous, ha ha!
