13). To achieve something approximating sanity.
14). Safety; nothing to fall over and nothing to fall on you.
15) Health; mold, dust, dirt, insect debris, pet accidents, etc. all negatively impact our physical health. Then there are the mental health issues; depression, shame, fear, isolation, etc.

ooh, i love them all! to be able to have repair people in and get ancient non-working or poorly working large appliances replaced because there may be enough room to get them out/in and down the stairs! to not have trip hazards, and to do arts and crafts without guilt because the place is clean and not piled. 23) to calmly face inspections, and /or "the dreaded knock" with confidence that i won't: a) die of shame and embarrassment b) be evicted 24) to save lots of money not buying duplicate stuff i already have, because i will KNOW what i have and everything will be in its "home" where it goes. (BIG fantasy thinking here! ) 25) to use all that money i saved, travel a place i've always wanted to go, or to see my family 3000 miles away, and not die of embarrassment at having to ask someone to stay here or look after my cat. (see 24)

30) in event of a fire, being able to find and reach your hiding pets, and get them out to safety. This one is so important in Australia, where bushfire can engulf a home very quickly. 31) So that I can use my pantry for FOOD, not as a safe haven for moths and spiders. Last month's pantry purge has saved me so much money, now that I can clearly see what I have and what I need. My DD has been super-organised in the morning now that she can prepare her lunch box easily. And the compost worms are loving the discarded, no-longer-edible food. it's so good to have this list for quick reference! Thanks for starting it, Serendipity.
