I’m not going to count the 300 emails I deleted, because it’s not something that’s noticeable if one were to come in.

Going to jump in here 9 months into the year, because almost everything I own is in plastic storage bins or trash bags due to the extermination project. The second treatment is Sept 10 and after that is over, I will be able to unpack and that's when THE PURGE begins.
As I was packing up, I did a quick purge, getting rid of things that were obviously trash, things that were worn out, and things I no longer wanted that could be donated. While I did not count these items, I have very conservative estimates and will use that as my starting number.
Here is a list of just some of the things that have been purged: one couch 10 throw pillows 3 throw blankets 5 purses 20 shoes 10 bras/panties 4 bedpillows 4 pillowcases 4 pillowcovers 50 unused USPS shipping boxes 3 sofa cushions 50 misc items from 2 junk drawers 30 old makeup items 50 ratty t-shirts, night-shirts, sweatpants 30 socks 50 books
I'm going to start with these 372 items and tack on 243, which is the number of days that have gone by so far in 2019, knowing that I have absolutely purged at least an average of 1 item a day. To that I will add 500, and that represents the papers I have purged that were from my mom's house, that are now over 10 years old and can be destroyed. I went through that process several months ago. 500 is a very conservative figure, too, as there were decades of old tax returns for City, State, and Federal, as well as receipts for property taxes, school tax, bills for utilities etc. So...I'm going to start with 1115 as my number to date. Let's see if I can get to the magical 2019!

400
200 papers, pamphlets, reports, magazines, folders etc to recycle - for sure more but I’ll say 200. I usually say “one big stack” for paper but I invested a lot of time going through a tote that was the Wild West in paper!
