Magda, congrats for making it to the gym at lunch!
I have very little energy today--I did do some PEEPing, I ate dinner, then I started sorting out a box I wanted to move out from under the work table in the plant room. It's not a large box, it's mostly filled with paper, and when I saw that I thought I should put it off because it's so time-intensive. However, in glancing through the paper I see it must have been a stash and dash, because there's a lot of stuff that can be thrown right out--junk mail, etc. So I'm going to sort it and try to get rid of the whole thing over the next couple of days. I got through some of the paper and shredded the things I needed to shred.
Now I need to start getting ready for bed.

Whew! It's been a crazy couple of days!!!
First my battery charger croaked, like it was so hot I almost couldn't touch it when i unplugged it. Then the mouse on the PC croaked. Found another mouse and bought a new charger, had to wait overnight for the batteries to charge. Then the mouse wouldn't work. Tried the laptop but haven't been using it much and it couldn't connect to the internet and wouldn't automatically detect the wifi.... finally figured out how to do it manually so now I'm back on.
Still can't figure out how to make the PC talk to the mouse; PC claims the wireless chip is working and the mouse works on the lap top so it's not the mouse.
In the meantime YAY! 1.1" of rain in an hour this morning. It was letting up just as I left for work. The bad news was the coyotes came through after that and took some more hens; I found their tracks. I have 12 left out of about 27 in that pen. Got them moved to a more secure pen this evening.
I worked all day yesterday and 5 hours today so needless to say I haven't done squat. Working 8-12 tomorrow and hoping it won't be too hot when I get off.
In all my life of living with swamp coolers no body ever told me you have to oil the bearings on the axle of the squirrel cage. jeez. The cooler was making a horrible racket yesterday, so bad I had to turn it off. Google found me a video of the solution but it wasn't working. Even when i tried turning it on this morning before I left for work it was still making a terrible racket. So figured I was going to have to figure out how to replace the bearings and hope that someone in town had the parts because my store is out of cooler stuff and won't get more until next summer.
BUT this afternoon I just had an impulse to flip the switch and thankfully it came on and it's still running quietly! i guess it just took a while for the oil to work it's way into where it needed to be.
so dang near bedtime, a quick shower and off I go. Hopefully tomorrow won't be so dang crazy!

Mary, I hope you can relax a little tomorrow when you're done with paid work--hopefully that will be all for the week?
I'm finished with everything and am getting to bed, I opened the windows because I hope it will be cool enough overnight, I'll probably need the air conditioner tomorrow.
Good night!

Hello everyone.
I'm back home. Staying at the hotel was lovely and I could have cried leaving it this morning, but here I am.
I have yet to walk through the apartment. I'll do that a little later when both catface and I are settled in.
I'll need to call the exterminator and get a report of their findings from their visit yesterday.
At some point I will take some pics and post them, of the Tote Towers and the beautiful Bounty of Bags.
I did find out yesterday that we can expect "activity" (BUGS) for up to 2 weeks from today...I guess as any random eggs hatch and the bugs eat bait and then DIE DIE DIE.
I will post a list and junk later after I cool off (it is horribly humid today) and slowly get my wits about me.
I'm not happy to be home, but I am glad to be back HERE.

I left work yesterday and got an oil change and inspection on my car. One of those annoying tasks that can spell trouble if you don't stay on top of it. I crocheted while I was there. I must have sat wrong because my back started twinge-ing on the way home. So I spent most of the evening laying in a heating pad. I did use up some leftovers and made a pan of goulash for DH. He was very happy with this. I took heavy duty pill at 9 and got a good solid sleep.
So - I am at work. I can't take heavy duty pill here, so if it gets bad I will leave. If the pain holds off - tonight I will attack the overflow of dishes and wash a load of darks. DH needs a work shirt.
OK - I must keep focused on work....

Good morning SetMeFree! The hurried part is over, and although you have a lot of work left to do, you can do it on your schedule--and here is your chance to look through things and only put back what you truly want to keep. You have time to work on your home, and whatever else you decide to do going forward.
As I was falling asleep last night I remembered there was something I really, really wanted to mail yesterday and forgot. So when I woke up this morning, (after cat feeding, of course) the first thing I did was walk to the mailbox. I also put little library books out.
It's miserably humid as well as warm today, the inside humidity is near 85, so when I came home I put both the dehumidifier and the air conditioner on, at least temporarily.
Now I will eat breakfast.
