I am up and at work. I think DH hit the proverbial wall and is taking today off. His knee has been bothering him. My back is intermittent but I have managed the day pain with advil. Two nights I had to take a heavy duty prescription pill but last night was no pill.
Last night was kind of a wash. I did get two loads of clothes folded and in piles. I puttered more on the pantry project and jettisoned two bottles of mustard and a bottle of barbecue sauce. DH wanted to rescue it from the trash but I said we never cook with barbecue sauce and there are two more bottles in the cupboard. I did manage to clear off one of the oversized TV trays that I was using as a staging area (but over time had gotten piled high with stuff)I did leave the empty TV tray there as I need to deal with one more shelf.
I wanted to wear jeans today and realized that I don't have many pair that really fit me. (I already pulled out the ones that are too big - now I need to work on the ones that don't fit right) The one or two pair that do fit were in the wash. My clothes are in a horrible mess. I am transitioning to my fall clothes and I need to get summer packed up and out of the way so that I can get dressed in the am without stress.
I have an off site training today so I need to buckle down and get everything done this morning. They are cleaning our carpets over the weekend so everything on the floor needs to be on my desk before I leave. I took some stuff home (or left it in my car). Looking around I have only one or two things to deal with.
I have to run to the bank over lunch - then I will go to training. I hope we get out early.

Good morning ohblondie! Good thing there's a weekend coming up, you can rest your back. There's a lot of sorting you can do while siting down, though! I'm eating breakfast and deciding if I want to put the exhaust fan on, the air outside is cooler than in here, but today the humidity is listed as 93%--so will it make it worse in here to bring more humid air in even if it's cooler. GOOD MORNING FRIENDSI slept through most of the past 2 days. They don't call it Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for nuttin'.
I have you tell you, on Weds, after coming home from the hotel and posting here, I had a bit of a breakdown. I was so exhausted emotionally and physically, and I don't have a massive support group in "real" life...most of my friends work outside the home, and those who don't are each going through some really hard times in their lives, and I felt massively overwhelmed and alone. I ended up calling my Health Insurance carrier to see what my coverage is for Behavioral Health, and while I was getting that info they gave me a great resource that I want to share, should anyone else ever need it.
In the US, if you text the word "connect" to 741741 you will be able to text/chat with a trained volunteer. I really needed to talk to another human desperately, because coming home from the pristine hotel room, and seeing what lies in store for me here...I broke down. I just needed to know there was someone "out there" that cared, even if it is a stranger. It's not solely for suicide prevention, although I am sure they would be a wonderful resource for that as well. The person I chatted with helped me considerably, and I was able to calm myself down and gather myself together enough to stop the panic and relax a bit, to realize that I WILL get through this, and I was able to sleep.
So, fast-forward and here I am, feeling almost "normal" (whatever that is) and I wanted to share my experience as well as the info on the crisis line, because while I was alone on Weds, I know I am not alone in going through what I did and there are many others out there like me who sometimes just need someone to be there.
Not sure what I am going to work on today. I made coffee for the first time since Monday, have taken my meds, and I'm going to start working on a list.
I do want to say THANK YOU to everyone that's on this thread...because you all have been a huge source of support and strength for me and kept me going when I just wanted to run far, far away. I am very grateful to all of you and to this website.

Good morning SetMeFree! I'm so glad you were able to find someone to talk to when you needed it. When your apartment is back to normal and you have some time, it might be good to work on finding some more real life social contacts, especially with your husband back at work. It can be lonely if your friends are busy and you have no one to call and talk to. Is the extermination over, or do you have to wait until a final check or something before starting to put things back in place? I asked this before but don't know if you ever answered, did you find out anything about the checks they did in other apartments?

I got a call from my senior client asking me to look up the names of the victims from the boat that burned because she knows someone whose son is an avid diver. Luckily, his name was not on the list.
Next, I'm going to spend some time with the plants.

Oh setmefree......thank you from the bottom of my heart for that resource. There are days I just want to talk to someone but I don't want the judgement that comes from friends and aquaintences.
I am thankful that you are in a better place and able to move forward. I di admit I would be overwhelmed facing what you are facing.
I am in training and I am obsessed that my feet smell. Such a random thought.
Ok.... wrapping up!

I am in training and I am obsessed that my feet smell. Yes, that is a random thought! I am now going to start putting together my new plant light! I will not finish, because in order to plug it in I'm going to have to move some things to get directly to the wall outlet instead of using an extension cord. But, baby steps! Diane

@ dtesposito
Hey Diane, Congrats on all your hard work today! I meant to post in here, but I just kept pushing on to get stuff done that was on my Listzilla. I'm sorry I didn't answer your question about the bug situation... The exterminators told me that we could see "activity" for up to 2 weeks from treatment, so we SHOULD be completely safe to unpack on Sept 25. Until then, everything needs to stay in plastic. We are using only the clothes we absolutely have to wear in a rubbermaid tote. All the other stuff is in garbage bags and plastic totes and will remain there until we know for sure we are clear. They won't do another inspection unless one is ordered. Personally, I would feel better if they DID do an inspection, but I'm not sure how much they would charge for that. I might look into it next week after I fully recover. I would really like to have an official "all clear". So, until at least 2 weeks from now, Tote Towers is the theme of our Fall Decor here.
Wishing everyone a great Friday and I'll see you all tomorrow!

SetMeFree, I can't believe you still have to live with tote towers for two more weeks! My concern was with the other apartments in the building. I hope they really did inspect all the other apartments, because if they didn't, you could be doing this all over again at some future point. Hopefully they did inspect and are treating the other units too. Wow, once you're done with all this it will feel like you're on vacation!
I have put the light together, this second one was so much easier than the first time. Now I have to decide if I want to start moving things around in there. In the meantime I have to feed the cats, and start a load of laundry.

We had a busy day. 2 Cleaning jobs. B came with me for help. He got better as the day progressed. I was grateful for help. I used turmeric oils on my neck. Double the dose to 7 drops. This means I can move!! I like that. Glad you found a source for support. I didn't know about the number either.
Today I got 3 bookings. My schedule is almost full.
I'm not going to be able to get anything done tonight. I will relax.
