Hello friends, I have been here off and on since the original squalor survivors but never posted much. I have had and still have a serious case of the “if only”s! If only I had a decent place to live, if only I had a bit more money , if only I could de clutter! Well I have moved into a federally subsidized absolutely beautiful little apartment, I have a few dollars each month, and I seriously de cluttered so much before I moved. Now neither my heart or head can take it! I realized they were just excuses and I am sitting in my beautiful new place of nearly three months depressed and almost in tears , totally defeated. My living room is covered in newspaper from unwrapping fall decorations and deciding which few to keep and which to bless others with. My beautiful bedroom has a bed covered with clean laundry. There are dishes in the sink and I have no idea where to turn! Please help! Any and all suggestions and help accepted and appreciated. I plan to stay this time and even start a blog. Obviously I can’t do this alone. Also I have about 50 pounds to lose and I am disabled with a bone on bone arthritic knee and fibromyalgia! Glad to be back, Grammea

welcome back! Have you read the bdg thread? I will find the link, that will help you with maximizing what you do. I have fibro and a similiar knee. Its hard to maintain a home with physical limitations but it can be done. Pacing myself but also keeping active is important with fibro. So i will do some activity then rest, then do some more. You are not alone! Keep posting here.
Whats the one thing that will make the most difference right now? Maybe neatly stacking all the newspaper (i know you might want to save it to wrap donations). At least it wont be spread all over the room. Or putting the clothes away so you can sleep comfortably in your bed? Pick one thing and try doing something for just five minutes. Then rest. Post here.
