1. Costco has a generous price adjustment policy. If you buy something at Costco and then it goes on sale within 30 days, you can take your receipt back and get refunded the difference! If for some reason they won't give you the price adjustment, just return the item and buy it at the cheaper price.May 1, 2019
I just googled this. Hth someone.

Oust, that sure is a generous policy, to do it just from a receipt. I'm sure most people eat the food the first week and wouldn't be able to bring the actual item back.
I'm just about ready for bed now, good night, see you all in the morning!

Well it is a long weekend for me. And I am enjoying a cup of coffee on a porch looking at the ocean....sigh..... Not much getting done at home but my soul is being restored. Anyone in the Wilmington NC area? I have an extra rocking chair! I'm in PA, but I love NC and I'll bring some scones and fresh fruit for a cup of coffee and that rocking chair! So jealous!

Hallelujah, the board finally emailed me to ask me to turn on the heat. About time, it's 51 at the moment. The radiators are heating up now, and I'm eating lunch. Diane Hi Diane! I like my place on a bit on the chilly side, but I know when I had budgies it's imperative they don't get a chill ('cause, duh, tropical birds ) and I am happy to read that you have heat now!

I had a long post written and then somehow ended up on the page for a store for pro-boards and the post is gone.
Yesterday was 2 weeks since he left. No word from him. I'm getting out of bed every morning and seem to spend my days doing hideously time-consuming admin tasks to get accounts in my name, make sure his banking info is deleted from billing data online on things like utility accounts, etc. Saving files, printing documents, etc. It all takes so much longer than I expect and the days go by and I feel like I am not making enough progress with all the stuff that is still packed up from the exterminator, plus now I have the contents of what was an 8x10 storage unit, in my living room because that was in his name and they won't change it to mine.
I know that I am doing the best I can. I am trying to process what is almost as hard as a death. It is the death of my marriage, and of the future that I THOUGHT I had. I get hit with these waves of grief that bend me in half, and I sit here sobbing until it passes.
I am keeping a journal so I know what I'm working on every day, what I have taken care of, and how what he's done by abandoning me in this manner has impacted me.
The other day I spent the majority of an entire day trying to get my anxiety meds refilled one day early as my Dr advised me to take an extra pill when needed under the circumstances. Then, when that was straightened out, I found out that while my pharmacy delivers meds now, THAT med cannot be delivered because it's a controlled substance, and has to be picked up in person.
Well, I have no car. Can't uber there because I cannot walk the long distance from the front of Target all the way to the back where the pharm is. Can't send a courier, because I am not going to give a stranger all the personal info they would need to pick up the Rx. Also, the Rx is very popular "on the street", so having those meds handed over to a stranger would just not be a very good idea.
I spent hours texting people to see if anyone I know would go out of their way to pick them up for me and eventually I found someone. All of this took up an entire day.
And this is what happens when you abandon a disabled person without the basic human courtesy to make sure they have what they need before you vanish.
Not sure what I am working on today. I'm not feeling very strong physically or emotionally.
One hour at a time.
Wishing you all a great Sunday and if you're one of the lucky few to have tomorrow off for what I choose to call Indigenous Peoples Day, I hope you're enjoying your long weekend.

Good morning ohblondie!
SetMeFree, the logistics of your situation sound like a nightmare. I don't have a car and I know it makes certain things really hard, but I didn't realize you were not able to walk to the back of a large store--that pretty much makes things impossible. Lots of stores deliver now but it's expensive. Thank goodness for internet ordering, but that doesn't help either when it's something like a prescription that has to be picked up in person. The paperwork sounds all consuming too. I'm so sorry you have to do all this by yourself.
I'm finishing up breakfast, I only have an hour or so until my first walk--I considered going early because my senior client planned to go to church this morning and would not be there--I'll see--sometimes she changes her mind and then is not ready for me to come, even though I always ask if that would be okay and she says yes. I have a PM walk today too so this is the day when I have to force myself to work in between.
I did turn the bedroom radiator off last night, and I might just leave it off because the temperature in here now is 72, which is perfect.

It was 45 degrees last night. The heat goes on the 15th I think. I heard a mouse in the night. Its probably cold so they are moving. I have plenty of traps out, but they are smart.
Today I will do laundry to keep it updated. B has 5 bags under and surrounded his desk.

Good afternoon oust! I'm home from my walk and have had lunch already. I did go 30 minutes early and my senior client was not there, so that was good. Her dog has perked up now that the weather is cold and he walked at his normal pace today. This afternoon I'm going to try to work on book boxes again, I need to prepare one more to go to the closer by FedEx pickup place. These boxes are messing up the part of the LR which I decluttered but I know it's just temporary. Next: Clean up from lunch Cat feeding Wash some cat food dishes 5 minutes on books Diane

I have the heater on. It's not warm enough.
I had to spend time today texting customers who had questions etc.
