Scholar, I LOVE the gargoyle--so perfect! Thank you.
And thank you ohblondie, yes, the first snowfall IS magical--I was smiling the whole time I was out there, even though it was cold and blustery. The snow continued through the whole walk, although it's only sticking in little patches on the grass. In looking at the forecast it does say it might accumulate to an inch, but I don't even remember hearing that yesterday, maybe it was unexpected.
This makes it a great day to stay home and get things done!

As expected, all my remaining craft stuff is cross stitch related, and I'm just not ready to let that go--I could send that over now though, since I have no intention of doing anything with it here. I'll wait to pack it up.

Back at it, better late than never. I am having demand resistance on several fronts. I think the best approach is to start quick and shift gears on three categories: PEEP, cleaning and deadline tax-related item: Round 1: 10 minutes x 3 *one go at each category
Round 2: 15 minutes x 3 for each break for 30 minutes walk
Round 3: one hour on high priority tax-related item only
break for 30 minutes walk
Self-care and meal prep
Go to SIL and BIL for evening

Hello itsy! Isn't that always the way, things pop up to derail our plans.
I didn't even get to my last list, my sister called and we've been talking all this time. So now, I will get to the list.

Okay, back for a report. Good thing we went together for the car insurance renewal. Too long of a boring story to detail here, but we did not have storage insurance as we thought on our vehicle. It's been uninsured (not driving that one) since May! I shudder now in thinking what could have happened. Good reminder to get my collective "house" (papers, life, body and soul) in order. Yikes!
Came home, did set the timer and did 20 minutes each of PEEP and clean. I brought my paperwork with me in the car, so I was able to do about 15 minutes of paper sorting while the insurance was sorted out. DH did most of that for me.
I will return to the tax-ing task, haha, tomorrow. Time to move to personal care and ready for evening.

Wow itsy, good thing nothing happened to your car!
Now I got a call from my shopping friend. I'm thinking today is mostly a loss already, not much is going to get done. I have an hour or so before dinner though, I'm going to see if I can do something. I will report back with ta-das if I can get anything done.

Diane, hope you are having a wonderful birthday!
I met with my financial planner today. I am finally tackling some long put off financial things and taking some steps for dd college finances. Feeling very good about finally dealing with some tough issues. I have been putting them off because I was not 100% sure what to do. Today, I realized I’ll never be 100% sure, but action is better than inaction.
DD went to her friend’s before I got home from work. So I have only seen a photo of her in her costume. I had a few trick or treaters here. Bad weather.
Cats not happy. They are house bound! Pulled a tick off boycat!!! Ugh ugh and ugh I am not sure what to do with it I put it in a plastic bag. I read that you should do that in case the cat gets sick, so they can check tick. I actually feel bad as I think I am giving it a slow death; who but me feels bad for a tick?!?!
I should be getting DD soon. Going to round up flash lights and charge my phone. Bad weather expected.
My foot is hurting again. Beyond the tick and hobbling to the door! I have not done much. I am going to set the timer for a half hour and do some thing
Since DD was not here for dinner, I reverted to my fav- a bowl of cereal!!

Magda, I would feel sorry for the tick too... Can't help it. So, the only thing I have done since my last post is look around for ideas of things I could get rid of. I opened my rarely used drawer in the cabinet in the DR where I keep packaged food, and found a bunch of extra silverware. I don't know how many of each utensil I think I can use at the same time...I don't even like most of it. I took it out so I can go through and take out anything that matches what I'm currently using, then will donate the rest. Then I was putting away some gloves and mittens that I recently washed and realized that I had more gloves & mittens in a drawer in my bedroom dresser. I pulled everything out of there, and put things in 2 piles to wash--things I'm keeping and things I'm donating. I threw out a pair of very worn mittens that I've been wearing even though I had newish ones in the dresser. When I donate the extras I'll be down to half the number I had before, but I'm not counting them as items out until they're washed and in the donate bag. I guess it's dinner time. Diane

I had dinner, talked to my decluttering client, took down a bunch of my Christmas CDs since the Christmas music season (for me) starts tomorrow! But then I started sorting into some I can get rid of, some I want to listen to before I get rid of...making more of a mess. Tomorrow, when Halloween is over, I can also start watching the Hallmark Christmas movies. They actually started last weekend--that's too early even for ME! I think the wet snow finally stopped by late afternoon, because I did hear some groups of kids that sounded like they were trick-or-treating. Looking out the window it seems like the snow never did accumulate on sidewalks, even though it snowed for most of the day, so it must have been just warm enough for it to melt while falling. Even the grass isn't completely covered. No more precip in the forecast until the middle of next week, but it will remain cold. I have done most of my evening routine, so--good night everyone, see you in the morning! Diane

I've been sneaking Hallmark Christmas propaganda advertisements movies in since "Christmas in July!" Both SNL and Colbert have some funny fake compilations.
Slow day for me, I'm feeling a bit under the weather (literally) but I'm happy that I worked on packing up what I had sorted, at least. Tomorrows another day... but only if I go to bed!

Well - this week has been challenging for me - as far as even getting to work on time....ugh.....
I went to the Capital Haunting Tour last night. Is was interesting and very historically based. Not at all like the Haunted Hayride or corn maze where people jump out and scare you. This was a tour of the capital with references to spirits and ghosts. Our guide showed pictures where spirits were captured in the images as white spots, and in one picture a red flash. So I started taking pictures to see if I could "capture" a spirit in the photo. We saw beautiful sandstone carvings and he pointed out where someone had carved a small devil into a hidden space. One would never see it if it wasn't pointed out.
It did not start raining until after 9 and it was so warm - 70degrees warm at 9pm. I walked the dog without a coat. It is cooler and windy today.
I saw a Christmas commercial last night (boo) but I will try to hold off with christmas till the day after Thanksgiving. Though I will probably start Christmas music today.
I had to get my crockpot put away so I dealt with a few piles in the kitchen. I have reclaimed some floor space. I am bring home some boxes so I can organize the stuff that is left. The donate is mixed in the hodgepodge of other stuff.
Tonight dishes One load of laundry One box of something out of the LR One box of something out of the kitchen
Tomorrow Strip and wash son's bedding Another load of laundry Help Get out the Vote (campaign in a neighborhood) Vote (Can bump til Sunday if necessary) Check on new tenants moving in
Sunday Wash DH work clothes (one trip to laundromat with jeans) church clean bathrooms Focus on finishing kitchen to be able to let repairman in

We had a windy Halloween! Thanking God that my property had no tree or wind damage and I had power. When I went to pick up DD last night, a tree was down blocking the end of our street. Luckily I had another way out. I was impressed- this morning at 7 am when I took dd to school, the town had already cleared the tree off the road. We played musical beds last night -a big old tree is near dd bedroom so on these wild nights I make her sleep in my bed -I slept on the couch- cats headed down with me. That tree is slated to be removed but they have not scheduled the job yet. I called today for an update. I slept pretty well considering that I was listening to the wind and praying and had a cat or two on and off me! Fed cats Drove DD to school Made bed Got ready for work Put clean dishes away Did a little pick up Cleaned up cat feeding area Packed lunch Arrived early for work!! That is my goal as I want to inspire my slackers or at least not give them an excuse. I have to finish a project I just do not want to do: writing a report.I will just go do it with goal of completing by noon -feeling such reluctance! ohblondie I dislike getting my crockpot in and out as it is so heavy and on the bottom shelf of a cupboard. I have to move a stack of bowls each time. Still praying for no wind damage here as winds are powerful for a few more hours. A big lovely tree came down at my workplace. A 60 foot graceful tree.

Good morning magda and ohblondie! I'm sure you're both glad it's Friday--for me, it seems like Friday is here in the blink of an eye, because I don't like my weekend walk schedule. But at least I'm home today, so I need to take advantage of it.
As usual, I have a million things on my to-do list which I won't have time for, but priority today is getting the remaining storm windows down. One will be easy but the other is the bedroom window, which means moving the things in front of it. I have some insulating tape left and I need to use it up--I'm supposed to get more when we go shopping but the weather keeps postponing the trip--I should have ordered it online when I first thought of it, I would have it by now.
TO DO:
Clean up from breakfast Scoop litter pans PEEP sunporch, entryway and hallway Start a load of laundry
