Hey everyone. I'm checking in because it's been a few days. I think the shock has completely worn off about his leaving and I am dealing with a very deep depression that is pretty much incapacitating.
I have spent my time in my bedroom because the living room is where the stacks of boxes and totes live and they are just too massive for me to deal with right now.
There are too many decisions and I cannot make decisions right now.
I am on the laptop right now because the rent is due and I need to take care of that as well as check on any other bills that are due at this time.
I am so very grateful to the support from this community. Support is the only thing that is keeping me getting up in the morning.
I am going to pay my rent and head back to the bedroom where the mess doesn't live.
One day at a time.

Thanks for checking in SetMeFree. I hope the social workers are helping you figure out your financial situation and see what benefits you're entitled to.
I just spent over an hour on the ACA website trying to get health insurance for next year--I'm running into problems and the website seems overwhelmed so it's another continuing project for later today.

SetMeFree.....gentle hugs to you - please be kind to yourself - you are an amazing person. Please don't judge yourself by someone else's actions. Over lunch I deposited some checks that have been sitting on a pile (like everything else). I also got my bills paid. The local credit union - that is supposed to be so wonderful - is getting out of control. So I am putting my money in the bank that worked closely with me in getting my mortgage caught up. Every month he checked in with me, every month a squirreled a little more money away and applied to my outstanding balance. Only a local bank would do that and certainly not my credit union. So to make a long story longer, I deposited my money and paid my bills. I realized that my car payment hasn't been made (was set up auto) so I fixed that. They had switched banking platforms and I just had to re-register. I am so happy to have that done and over with. One more bill. And the garbage bill. almost time to head home. I have a 6pm appointment, I also need to walk the dog (son is on guard duty). And I want to get some mail to my other son. It never ends.

I just dealt with a pile in the hallway. I had a Piece of lambswool that wasn't big enough for a blanket but it was so soft. My Harley dog had an accident on it and I thought about taking it to the cleaners. But it would have cost $$$$$$$$ and for what. It came from my beloved aunt and uncle. but seriously, what was I ever going to do with it. Most normal people would have donated it when it first came in their home, if they even would allow it in their home. Why do I need to have these discussions in my head......
I just found out that a co-worker"s wife died today. She had a heart attack Wednesday. She is a few years younger than me. Wow......I really do need to get my butt in gear....

Why do I need to have these discussions in my head......So that you can let things go! Hopefully. I have these discussions over every single thing I decide to get rid of. I ate dinner, and worked on more books. I did NOT do the one thing I wanted to do today, which was the storm windows. To be honest, I forgot, and went for hours without looking at my to-do list for today, because I was working on books. Now I'm going to get ready for bed. Diane

Good morning mary! Yay for finally finishing the fence--I assume your weather is better now? I thought of you the other day because I was looking at the great plant list from an online nursery in Arizona that I had never heard of before, and I thought--well, at least that weather is good for succulent growing! I wanted to order something from them but it's now too cold here, the poor plants would freeze without a heat pack, and I don't know if they do well being shipped with a heat pack. Diane I think as long as they were insulated well and kept from actually freezing they would be fine. A heat pack would probably cook them. the weather is much cooler, first frost came roaring in the other night at 24 degrees. But it was near Halloween and that is actually our traditional first hard frost date. So of course the weather shift means I need to clear some stuff out so I can start up the wood stove, which means I need to get some wood stashed under cover and cut to stove length. The rescue dog did not work out at all and went back where he came from. I did manage to pay the bills and spent 5 min in the kitchen and not much else done in the house until today when I washed some dishes and ran and hung a load of laundry. Outside I turned a compost pile, spread some compost, covered beds with frost cloth and got my chicken plucker set up. In the morning I will finish setting some things up and will process some chickens. Right now I'm stiff and sore and going to finish my tea and lay on my heating pad while I listen to a podcast on plant nutrition.
