Nice to meet you phoenixcat! Great job with the DONE list and good luck with the next steps and the laundry challenge! Haha about the chair mylittlescholar - I can understand the dilemma!! TA DA Vacuum bathroom (and it will be finished!) Pick up cookie sheet from bedroom floor (use to catch mice when cat brings them upstairs and then fails to recatch) and put on porch Pick up shoe box in front hall (used for same purpose) and return to front porch I soooooo wanted to start on something else rather than finish the bathroom, but I did it! Vacuumed and even used a wet towel to spot mop. I haven't mopped in years and couldn't start today - too overwhelming! So, the bathroom is clean. I've been keeping up with it pretty well for the past month or so, which made it a little easier to tackle than usual. TO DO: Bring 2 coats from chair in foyer area upstairs Put away laundry detergent bag which is sitting in the middle of the foyer area Bring mail from foyer/dining room table upstairs

phoenixcat - that's funny about your DM - wish I could call my neighbors to deal! An old neighbor of mine used to call me - I got bats, birds, snakes, mice and giant moths out of her house over the years. Thankfully she had a boyfriend when I caught a rat in a live trap in my house and he got rid of it for me. I drew the line there! Thanks for the PEEP explanation. I'm intrigued - what is a laundry challenge? Great job on getting more stuff done! TA DA Take vacuum downstairs to living room Plug into extension cord Vacuumed living room for 3 minutes Shredded papers for 3 minutes Needed a small plastic bag for kitchen garbage can and found one in corner of living room - how convenient! Emptied 1 of 3 glasses of kale in water that is starting to rot in the kitchen - lovely TO DO Deal with another kale glass Vacuum living for 3 minutes Shred papers for 3 minutes Drink some water!

PC yay for laundry challenge. You are doing great! about kitty gifts
seahorse welcome! A laundry challenge us when we tackle mt washmore (aka the mountain of laundry that needs doing). You are doing fantastic today! Its tempting not to finish a room but you sound like youre so close. Stick with it, it will be worth it to see the beautiful clean room. Im a big believer in the power of hot water. Especially for areas/things that havent been cleaned in a while and stuck on/dried up grossness. Wet a rag with the hottest water you can (dont burn yourself, use tongs if you need to), set it n the gunk, leave it soak until the rag cools enough to wipe up. Really bad areas might need more than one treatment, thats ok. Im layzee and dont scrub/scour anything, i let the hot rag do the work for me.
First load done and folded. Second load is in the dryer. Started knitting a hat.

OK ladies - GAME ON NEXT: lunch Start a pot of dump soup laundry switch Load out of the dryer is a mattress cover so woo-hoo - I can remake our bed. We've been sleeping in the guest room for the past week. Main plus is that HRN (her royal naughtiness) can't throw up on the bed in there! Third load in washer, 2nd in dryer. Still roughly a zillion more to do. NEXT: 1) remake our bed 2) try and convince DH to help me do some cleaning under our bed. 3) wipe down flat surfaces and remove cat fountain for cleaning

Wow - it's a par-tay in here!! I think I won the laundry challenge when I had to do all of mine at once at the laundramat last night! Nice to meet you Unswamping and thanks for the explanation and tips. mylittlescholar - I like the phrase "learn how to pause, regroup, and carry on" - yes! PS I finally looked up Equestria and now I understand your tagline! @ razy - enjoy the sunny day! and good job on being able to make the bed again with clean sheets phoenixcat - been there many times! My evening plans just got cancelled, so I'm going to continue doing small things here and there since I'll be out most of tomorrow. DONE found scissors and cut most of the hair out of the vacuum brush. Phew. started list of what I need to do and take on my day trip tomorrow. Getting myself out of the house can be a major challenge. Finished shredding paper worked on medical reimbursement a bit and discovered I will need to use the scanner at work in order to continue, so I typed out step by step instructions for myself so that I don't have to try to remember and reinvent the wheel next time I pick up the task. TO DO Finish vacuuming living room Deal with last kale jar in kitchen It's probably time to clean off my bed if my cat just snuggled up with an old receipt.

great job on laundry mylittlescholar . Definetely agree with the pause, regroup and carry on.
razy woo hoo! Great job on getting so much done! Im glad its warm and sunny there, but hopefully not too warm.
phoenixcat i envy you your guest room. Guess i could have one too if i cleared out some stuff. Nah, not going to happen. Great job on lunch and dump soup. Yay for a clean bed.
seahorse wow! Ive done those trips to the laundromat in the past, thats not fun at all. At least its all done now. Good idea to write yourself a note so you dont have to reinvent the wheel. ive already reinvented it about a million times. Yes, i would say its time to clean off your bed. Your cat is very considerate to choose an old receipt. Mine would pick the one i need to return something.
Have load three in dryer. Im guessing i have about six more loads to do. Oh, probably should grab the kitchen towels and toss in next load. Knitting is coming along.

seahorse - ALL of us on this site know how awesome it is to FIND those scissors and then USE those scissors!! HRN refuses to move her furry butt off the royal bed. She's such a teenager 1) remake our bed 2) try and convince DH to help me do some cleaning under our bed. 3) wipe down flat surfaces and remove cat fountain for cleaning Cleaned all the pet food and water dishes including fountain in the bedroom for her royal lassiness (not using the L word) Another tip Seahorse - Lazee is a bad word around here. The computer will *** it out if you use it in the correct spelling. I often use lassie as that is how my spell correct will try and change it. That word is a stereotype and most of the time it is wildly inaccurate. There are some on this board that can explain its use or lack of use better than I can. Lion where are you? CourageouslyLion SeeksSerenity Since I'm stalled on the bedroom finish 1) laundry switch 2) put away clean dishes 3) PEEP
