I have to be honest and confess that every single thing I need to do is covered with resentment and dread. I can be honest here, as I know I am far from the only person here that feels this way. I resent the actual physical mess he left me with, ever-so-conveniently leaving JUST as we were able to start unpacking from the exterminator. I can't even LIFT some of these totes. But, hey, as long as HE'S got his freedom and "happiness", what does it matter the cost and who pays? But, I'm NOT bitter. [img src="//storage.proboards.com/1879832/images/oDXY_MVVWjZjKkI7g19f.png" alt=" " class="smile At least he took one awful thing with him - himself. Like the old saying goes - everywhere he goes there he is. You can get through this and without him mucking about and not really helping you can do it at the pace you need to and not worry about him complaining/supervising. Karma has already bit him in rear as he is stuck with himself.

I'm glad we have each other!!!
I've been working on laundry; posting the details on the WIT thread. I have two competing ideas for the next boxes to tackle, I think I'll write on my moving blog to clarify.

Thank you everyone, I've been working hard on book sorting so I don't have to sit and think--and I'm trying to remove things that remind me of the cat--with my old guy there was a lot of stuff out that was just for him because he was in worse shape, but now it's all the CAT STUFF, which is everywhere. Food plates, dry food bowls, water bowls in different rooms, mats under the bowls, 4 sets of cat stairs leading to different places. Litter pans, litter, a whole book case full of cat food. Cat beds, blankets on their favorite windowsills, toys, even when I came to sit down at the computer, there was the pill holder which I kept on the top edge of my keyboard so I would see if often and remember to give pills.
It's going to take a while to get everything out of here--and I have to find a place to donate the food and extra litter. It's the transition from cats to no cats that is so weird. I came out of the plant room, closed the screen door and latched it--then realized I no longer have to do that. I threw a little piece of plastic at the garbage can and missed, and thought--better pick that up so no one eats it. I finished a bag of crackers and put the empty bag into the plastic storage drawer where I keep miscellaneous bags to use to scoop litter pans twice a day--but I don't need them anymore. This will take a while to transition to a house with no cats in it, after all these years.
I'm even thinking I'm going to get rid of my loveseat. I've had it the whole 22 years I've been in this apartment, and it's been vomited on by every cat I've ever had here--I have to keep it covered because even though I try to shampoo out stains they never come out all the way. The cats were the ones who liked it, I never sit on it in winter or summer--it's in the sunporch, which is too hot or too cold. Only in spring or fall do I sometimes sit on it to read, and I have a comfy chair that will do instead. So I almost got a hammer and started attacking it (I dismantled the couch that matched it several years ago because I didn't want it anymore--I took it apart with various tools, including hammering away at the joints). That was so I was able to put one piece in the dumpster at a time, and didn't have to pay anyone to take it away. Of course, I was a little stronger back then. Then I decided I didn't have to do it TODAY. I will do it soon though, I did not plan on taking it with to my sister's.
Anyway--I've been working on books, and then did my 5:30 walk. Unfortunately I'm at the point where I have to go through books that are really dusty, and that combined with crying has done a number on my sinuses again--there was a point where I could not breathe through my nose at all and had to take a break. However, I did make it half way through the letter T in my series books, just a few shelves left.
I just had dinner so I guess I'll get ready for bed--if I'm not tired after that I'll just stay up until I am.
Thank you for the support, all my SOS friends!
Diane

Aw, Diane, what a productive way to work through your loss. I'm so very sorry. Such a huge transition. Reminders everywhere. You and SetMeFree.
I finished all my laundry today, and started to box up my summer clothing. I like to do it on the weekend of the time change--hey, we get an extra hour!--so without really planning it, I am right on time. It is SO much easier than it used to be! Phew!
I sent out my invites, and did some strategizing about my last two weeks on this project. Since I did not get through 30 boxes this week, I need to figure out which 30 boxes to put aside until I get back. Probably files and ephemera and vintage stuff. I should tag them.
See you in the morning!

Hopefully I'll be productive in between since I have such a big mess in here. TO DO: Eat breakfast Clean up from breakfast Start some dishes soaking Do step one of an invoice Diane

Oh why do I raise my hand to help. I have a friend running for public office...local.....I volunteered to help yesterday for a couple of hours. I don't know if anyone remembers the bedroom et I bought from another politician, the set looked nice but when you looked inside/on the back it was cheap materials and poorly constructed, like some politicians. So my friend isn't there but this miserable politician was she could not call me by name or talk to me directly. Kept saying*this is one of Anne's friends" or she is here to help. "This" seemed to be my name.
Now I am stuck with campaign materials to deliver today. I knew I should have not gone yesterday.
I decided I will walk for two hours then deliver to my friend the stuff I was not able to get done. I want to help the three local women running that I support. I don't support the entire slate so that is also the rub
I will start laundry now. hopefully I can get two loads done before church. These time changes always throw me for a loop.
I got the bins of summer clothes packed and stacked. Now to get the guest bed made and fall clothes set out so I can preplan my outfits for the week.
The stack of bins is distracting. I need to find a better place to store them but they are out of the way for now.
I am starting a new medication this week that one of the side effects is weight loss. Hopefully I won't have to buy anything new. I have enough in all sizes.
Dishes are all done, just three cookie sheet pans to wash.
I sat to drink my coffee. The only way these things will get done is if I get up and moving!!

Good morning ohblondie, sorry you got stuck with the campaigning. Stick to your limit and return the rest.
I just thought of something related to the loveseat--the dog who visits loves to sit on the back of it and look out the window--I might have to rethink getting rid of it right away.
Next:
Wash more dishes Change kitchen and bathroom garbage bags Collect all cat bowls to wash Collect plastic food mats and throw away

Good morning! Thinking of you Diane... I do love this particular time change. Also hope dd can get caught up on sleep; she is always sleep deprived Cats are not on time change but let me sleep a little bit. I probably could still be sound asleep! I had a wonderful and generous birthday celebration last night! My last celebration for this birthday. Today I want to get back on track with food after these wonderful meals out. I always bring some home so I do have some leftovers. My dinner from Friday night: I ate about half at restaurant. The rest was one meal for dd and then one for me! So three meals from one entree! So far today Fed cats Put away clean dishes Washed breakfast dishes Made bed Swept floors Are a humble bowl of oatmeal Having coffee Today - laundry, paperwork, church. DD wants to go to the mall. Not my fav place! I do need new clothes. Mine are just getting worn and dated and in some cases s little big. ohblondie if you have to go on a medicine, best to go on one that has a side effect of losing weight!
