Good morning Angie and magda! I did NOT wake up early due to the time change--my bedtimes are all over the place so any schedule I had is off.
I have mid-day walks today which start in about an hour, and then the Comcast person will come between 1 and 3. If it follows my usual luck, they will show up at 10 to 3--I always seem to be last in the queue.
I went out to put books in the little library a little while ago, it's cold but so sunny it hurts my eyes. It's still going to be cold all week--I'm surprised that we're not getting some warmer weather yet before real winter starts, we always do.
In the hour I have left I'm going to do more neatening up of the kitchen and DR.

Good morning everypony!
I got a lot done in the garage last night. I can see the light at the end of the (first) tunnel, so that's giving me motivational energy. I also have a guest coming this weekend, so I'm motivated to do tiny rounds of housework, in case I can't get on the housekeeper's schedule before then.
DONE: got dressed to shoes
made coffee made ACV water took meds took wheelie bin to the curb (not sure if I made it in time) checked messages and replied checked email--two more "Yes" RSVPs! checked online balance updated spreadsheet checked notifications and replied updated lists

If it follows my usual luck, they will show up at 10 to 3--I always seem to be last in the queue. I can tell you I would have been happy to have the time change hit Friday night for Saturday. Saturday I could not get up but needed to be to work by 7. Of course then my body goes back to what the routine should be and was waking up well before my alarm would have gone off if the time had not changed. And now every day I am waking about 4 am (too early) and going back to sleep until 5 or 5:15. I have the same luck with those scheduled people. Now if it's my husband who is the one in charge and waiting they come 10 minutes after the first time they gave you.

Well, true to form, it's now 3/4 of the way through the time frame and Comcast is still not here. I came home and had a snack and did some more straightening up, and I'm still waiting.

On another forum we used to have a "waiting" smiley, I miss it!
I have been knocking off some easy boxes after a long nap. I want to get as much done before 9:00, so I can shift to an upstairs project. I have appointments tomorrow, so can't stay up all night tonight.

OMG, DELIVER ME from Comcast. I can't believe how much I hate this company. Feel free to skip this whole post, it is nothing but venting. So, at 10 after 3, when no one ever showed up, I called them. I got the usual phone tree that you can't get out of. There is NO option to call about an appointment, or to speak to a human. "What service are you calling about, internet, tv or phone". Internet. "Okay, let me run a check on your modem". YOU DID THAT YESTERDAY, THAT'S WHY I HAD AN APPOINTMENT TODAY. But of course, no one hears that. "Based on the error messages I got from your modem, we need to do a reset--are you ready?" NO! "We can't connect you with an agent until we try the reset, so it will save time when you speak to the agent". Okay, I figured, let them do the reset--when they did it yesterday, they immediately came back on the line and said they had to connect me to an agent to make an appointment. So I said, okay, do the reset. They do the reset, then say--"it'll take 10 minutes before you know if it worked, is there anything we can help you with in the meantime?" YES. "Are you calling about internet, tv or phone" Internet. "Okay, let me run a check on your modem". So I hung up, figuring I'd call back after the 10 minutes was up, then their system would show that a reset had already been performed. I wait, call back, and get the exact same messages, the exact same loops, can't get out of them. By the way, I tried pressing other buttons during all this, nothing worked to get me to a person. So, I went to my computer to do chat. There is no longer a "chat" option on their help page, there is information on how to call them, how to go to one of their stores, or to use their "virtual assistant". I go to the virtual assistant and type in that I had an appointment and the tech didn't come. "If you have a questions about a technician or appointment, I can connect you with an agent--click on CONNECT." So I do. Live chat appears, with a starting message (purportedly from me) saying "I have a problem with billing". Live chat:"I understand you have a problem with billing, I can help you with that!" NO, I never said I had a problem with billing, I had an appointment and no one showed up. "Oh, I'm so sorry, let me check on that". "I'm in billing, I'll have to connect you with technical support." NO DUH! (I did not actually type that.) So the technical support person, after much typing back and forth, says that my record shows that the person showed up at 2:42, fixed the problem outside, and left at 3:02. I had explained the whole thing, that my internet came back but since they said their equipment showed a problem for months, I didn't call to cancel, I wanted them to fix the problem so it didn't happen again. So I said, it would have been nice if they told me that they fixed it, I couldn't tell because my internet was working. Then I said--wait--if they fixed it by 3:02, why did the phone call that I made at 3:10 say "based on the error messages I got from your modem..." How do I know this is actually fixed? They had told me they would have to come in to check the strength of the signal inside. The live chat person tells me they will monitor it for 24 hours to make sure there are no more problems (yeah, sure they will). I said okay, but if my internet goes out again I won't be happy. I thanked the person for their help and said I was signing off. I went to SOS and started reading some messages. About 3 minutes later, guess what? My internet goes out! However, when I looked at the modem it looked like they had reset it again, the lights looked like they do when it's coming back online. So I went away for 10 minutes and came back, it's fine. But now, of course, I have no idea if it's been fixed or not. Maybe they didn't reset it--maybe it went out again, and maybe it will continue to go out and in. I HATE COMCAST. Okay, now I feel a little better, and am going to eat something and watch some news. Diane

Diane! Their terrible reputation is well deserved!
I got through a major category of boxes today! Was able to reduce 12 large boxes to 6 large and 5 small. Could consolidate 2 large a bit more, but then I wouldn't be able to lift them. The sealed and labeled ones are shelved in the storage room. Broke down two boxes as well.
DXH and XSO are making dinner. Not exactly on plan, but yay, food! I'm hungry.
