I hardly know what to say. Was on the web looking for personal stories of clutterers and hoarders etc. Was looking for people like me. Preferably people who could also say "before...and after," or "I've recovered." Found squalor survivors site, which led me here. Hoping this is an active community. Cheers, Lost in Place

🙋 ... Made me think, not sure if I can claim there being a before in my case .... Recovery is an erratic process, but any step forward counts🐾🐾🐾🐾

Welcome! this is a very welcoming community with folks who are in all stages of dealing with maintenance, clutter, trash, disorganization, worry about the neighbors or family seeing inside your home, how to get the water and heat fixed, and so on. Share what areas are most concerning to you and you will get lots of suggestions. or just look around the forums or blogs and check out what others have been doing. You may want to check out listzilla. I'm posting on Working in Threes thread today, trying to focus on maintenance which is the most boring task ever but must be done.

lostinplace - this is most certainly an active community! We're in all stages of before, after, backsliding, restarting, or moving! Welcome!

Thanks. I'm very glad to hear it. Nothing more disheartening than believing you've found a community to connect to and discovering they were active three years ago. The avis are cool guys, where'd you make them? Does anyone work with CLA anonymous or other 12 step programs?
Could someone tell me what a PEEP is? I tried that link to site-specific jargon but it seems to be broken.

Putting stuff where it belongs. sometimes easy, sometimes challenging if you have more stuff than space. I declutter and donate and throw away and.. then have to do it again, because paper reproduces when no one is looking. at least that's my theory. I'm busy with Cutie Grandkids right now, so I'll be checking in later. I'm sure you'll get more suggestions, we have members all over checking often

Avatar maker just loads a blank popup for me. I can probably make something. If not, I'll find something! Cheers all.

Does anyone work with CLA anonymous or other 12 step programs? Here are a couple of threads are not 12step threads specifically -- anyone can participate in them -- but there are a few 12step parallels: Many thanks CourageouslyLion SeeksSerenity. I'll check them out.
