Angie, I won't be moving for a while yet, I'm tentatively planning on next fall, maybe earlier or later. I figure it'll take me many months to get things sorted and purged here. I don't want to do anything last minute, or have to give anything up that I'm not prepared for--by taking all this time I should be able to let everything go in the manner I like.
Magda, the birds will be in the "living room", where I will spend most of my time. There's a lot of stuff to fit into that room, and until I get measurements I can't quite picture how it will be. But for sure in that room will be the fridge and a counter for the kitchen items, a comfy chair (maybe recliner) and tv, and a desk with computer, and the bird cage. And whatever else that will fit comfortably, which won't be too much.

Hello Everyone; wayward child checking in!
I've gotten a fair amount of outdoor work done since last I visited, along with some dishes and laundry.
I managed to kink my neck yesterday clearing brush so not doing too much heavy stuff this afternoon.
Did real world job this morning, taking a little break, eat some food, then probably will work outside since it's almost 80 degrees. this is why I don't live where it snows!

Got some more ideas. I'm going to raffle off the decorations--everyone can take some home, but I'll pull the order of picking what they want out of a hat. ack, I just realized some of the components are elsewhere. I need to pick them up on Wednesday. More communications!
Okay, did that, that's a relief. I don't know why it's so scary!
I need to look at my list.

Ok... kitchen island is shifted back in place. More and more items are getting tossed or put away. DS is taking the laundry to dry. I finished the dishes...then found more... ..I could write a book! I actually swept part of the kitchen floor I organized the two drawers in the island. I got so many things gathered and bagged in Ziploc baggie's and all together. The command hooks, the batteries, etc. Now to finish the top of the island. Back at it

Good morning Angie! I've been looking at my cookbooks too--I have a ton of vegetarian and vegan books, as well as lots of cookie cookbooks since those used to be my specialty before I stopped baking. But I have to be practical--I don't have a working kitchen now and when I move to my sister's I won't have a "normal" kitchen either--I will have my microwave, toaster oven, crockpot and fridge in the area where I'm living. So, I would like to get rid of a lot of mine too.
I have gone through the entire "keeper" bin. I have several books to let go, they will go on the tally for my moving thread, but for next week, since a new week starts today.
Now I have to clean up in here a little and have lunch.
Diane dtesposito. Look on FB Marketplace for a Tupperware Stack Cooker. $50 or under is a fair deal if all 7 pieces are there including the cone. It is great for microwave cooking. I dont use the stack feature but I do cook in it.

Hello mary and lennon!
Ohblondie, do you think you'll be able to call the repair people before Thanksgiving?
I talked to my sister for quite a while, and cleaned up all the book mess I made today--although I want to keep working on books, I need to do a few other things.
Next:
Clean bird cage Start a load of laundry PEEP in kitchen Pay a bill online

Hello turkeyhill! I looked at that tupperware cooker, and it actually looks too complicated for me--I do okay making one thing at a time in the microwave. It's been so long since I've had a working stove that I've adapted pretty well to the items I have. The toaster oven was given to me this past year as a gift, and it lets me make frozen pizzas and even does some simple baking, so I really am okay. In fact, I'd like to use my crockpot more, I love it but don't use it often enough.

Ugh, I found the vase I meant to take back to the florist.
Cleaned out under the sink. Combined some half used Windex bottles (cleaning supplies). Still not enough room. That's ok though, I won't have to buy more for awhile.
I got the extra TP and PT put away ( thought we were out of TP and what I thought were PT was really TP. We will be set for the winter.
At the store I bought peach tea. It was so good I had Two mugs. Thank goodness it is caffeine free!

Well, the maid and her helper rallied! DD mopped the kitchen floor, then mopped the bathroom floor and cleaned the sink and toilet inside and out. I vac’d the upstairs hallway, most of my bedroom - even the hard parts behind the bed- the stairs, the living room and the dining room. I also vac’d the upholstered furniture. I also washed and dried the throws that I use on the furniture for cats, so the living room is really clean! We just had my homemade soup for dinner. I washed our bed pillows today; I had read a grisly article on dust mites and pillows, ugh. So they are in the dryer at the moment. A load of towels is in the wash. I was a good house frau today .
