Diane
I used to have a stack cooker. It was handy as I could cook the entire meal at once. I stopped when I misplaced the cookbook

Okay, I have done my night time routine and as soon as my laundry is ready to hang out of the dryer I'll be getting to bed.
It turns out there WAS something wrong with the boiler, it was not my imagination. This morning there were several emails about it which I didn't see until they were all over--the board asked people if their heat was working, some people said that it was, but then half an hour later the NEW management company said "we called the boiler company and they're coming in an hour--is there anyone home to let them in the basement?" Then later in the afternoon there was another message from them saying that the burner wasn't working properly and they fixed it. So, the radiators are actually heating now, and it's more comfortable in here.
Except--whoever called the management company could have just as easily called the boiler company. They still relied on someone in the building to let the boiler people in. What are we paying the management company for??
Oh well, I wouldn't care if it wasn't for the large assessment increase I'll have to deal with starting in January.
Good night everyone, I'll see you in the morning!

Thanks Diane! I am just now in bed I went to check on the laundry and discovered that I forgot to turn the dryer on. Turned it in. So the waiting load in the washer is stuck until tomorrow morning, and it had the outfit that I planned to wear to work. I’ll come up with a new one
Also went to front closet and pulled out hats and scarves and gloves for dd and me. Could not find dd boots. I have a feeling I donated her old boots, as they were getting too small, way back in the summer. Snow seemed a long way off... she does have those high-end trendy rain boots and some nice winter boots that were a bit too big but I missed the return deadline. They would prob work. In truth she will prob reluctantly wear a winter jacket and skip hat, gloves and boots any way -/seems to be a style thing
So now Gnite for real

mylittlescholar..could you take pictures of your tablescapes and post them then hire out to do tablescapes for people using what they have? Or teach them how to do it? Socks and underwear all matched up and folded and out away. Kitchen island remains cleared off except for the two packages of bread DH left on it. I have a really cool vintage metal runner sled that I use to decorate at Christmas - but it does not belong in my kitchen. That needs to find a home fast. I think tonight I will clean out under the kitchen island. OK - back to work -

Good morning renewal, ouch, I hope your extraction sites are healing!
Ohblondie, I always thought that if my kitchen was big enough for a small island I would have no problem cooking because it would provide enough space. Then I saw a dog walking client's home--they have a HUGE island in the middle of their huge kitchen, it even has a little prep sink in it. I am so envious.
I'm thankful that they got the boiler fixed yesterday, when I woke up today the temperature was 8 degrees--going up to 20 degrees today. This is really not the norm, I can't help thinking we still have to have warmer weeks before Christmas. The forecast says it will be back up to 40 by Saturday.
I have mid-day walks, so will wear my warmest clothing.
TO DO:
Finish breakfast Clean up from breakfast
5 minutes each:
DR Bedroom/bathroom Books Plants

Oh Diane - I would love an island with a prep sink but it would probably always be full. When we were at the party at the million dollar mansion - they had a huge marble island with a prep sink. And during the party they were having to rinse wash dishes. Some went right into the dishwasher but others had no where to go to sit and dry - at one point a clean cookie type sheet pan was on the island drying. It was out of place and awkward.

WOW! That was a tiring 2 hours outside. By not going out yesterday I didn't realize how bad the sidewalks would be--80 percent of them either had salt (which meant walking in the snow on the lawns) or were solid ice. The second dog I walked must have been excited about the snow or something because she was walking the way she did when I first met her, which was like a dog who had never learned to walk on a leash! She was yanking me left, then right, then circling back around me so that I had to turn around, I was sure she was going to knock me down before we got safely home.
My toe is killing me, probably from walking on the uneven snowy surfaces but also from holding myself tense so I didn't fall on the ice. But I made it home without falling!
I'm going to eat lunch and rest a bit.

Good afternoon everypony!
Thanks for the suggestion, ohblondie, I will put that in my hopper!
I woke up and DXH was gone grocery shopping, and my bird friend was in the garage; the one that comes in here the most frequently, its part of his (or her) territory. Opened the garage door so s/he could escape, and it was so pretty out, I didn't close it until I realized I was freezing!
I'm realizing that I was so tired yesterday cause I'm fighting a cold. Fortunately its not to bad, I'm dosing myself with tonics and elderberry, but I need to work SMART so I can conserve my energy.
