Diane!
I've been essentially paper processing all day. Kind of a big chunk sort--I have two big categories called "file" and "pack for CA" that I need to look at again next week. And that doesn't include the paperwork for the urgent/important action items!
But I have a lot of smaller categories that I can put to bed! And my office is emptying out. I want to clear off some horizontal surfaces for my party.
I did find ANOTHER scrapbooking stash odds and ends that I can put in the bin with other odds and ends for now.
I have a lot of schlepping up and down the stairs to do, but DXH is making dinner next, so I will theoretically be fortified.

I've been essentially paper processing all day.You must have been watching news too--this was a good day for working on paper! And my office is emptying out.Yay--isn't it satisfying to see spaces open up? I had lunch and then worked on data entry for a while. Then, as long as I was already depressed from going through my former pet care client files, I decided to purge my "animal health" files. I saved every receipt and lab report for every animal I ever had--going back through time was another very sad journey, but I feel lighter for having gotten rid of another 2 inch high pile of recycling. I saved just a few things so that I would remember some specific dates, but I let most everything else go. Will it ever help me to know a particular, long gone cat had a low RBC count in summer of 1996? No, it will not.
I can't believe how much money I've spent on vet bills over the years, though...
Now it feels really late, like it's time to get ready for bed. I did watch the entire day of proceedings, which was kind of tiring. I'm going to work on plants for a while, and after that if I'm still tired I just might get ready for bed. Diane

Unmotivated tonight. So cold outside and I got chilled to the bone.
I have frozen fish in the oven and some riced cauliflower. I gave the dog peanut butter on his chew bone and he gakked on the stairs. I better clean that up before people come home
DS has been asleep since I got home. I hope he isn't getting sick. He is always out late so maybe he is just getting caught up.

Good evening everyone!
I repotted some plants, and finished the last pan of dishes, including emptying and cleaning out the dishpan. I watched some news shows, talked to my decluttering client and ate dinner. I'm pretty happy with what I got done today--a lot of it was not visible without opening a file cabinet, but it was time consuming and it's a relief to get those files purged.
Now I'm getting ready for bed, so that I can hopefully be in bed by 9:30. I've been reading a lot before falling asleep lately, because I'm not taking reading breaks during the day. But at least I can be in bed early so that I'm more likely to get sleepy by a decent hour.
Good night everyone, see you in the morning!
Diane

Okay I wrapped up much of my big sorting project. Swapped out summer/winter scarves and hats. Had dinner. Made plans for tomorrow. Need to check the weather and select something to wear, as we are up early to take cat to the vet and car to the mechanic.
I am trapped with cat on my lap. Just made a grocery list. Should look up some pics on fb.

OK - Son is sick or has an overwhelming migraine. He got up and showered and went right back to bed where he had some chicken and rice soup. He was pretty wiped out and zonky this morning. I filled up the tank with gas this AM - it wasn't as cold today as it has been the past few days and I don't like the tank getting low come winter. Today was day three of traffic jams trying to get to work on time. All the more reason to think about retiring.....
My MIL called me yesterday. "It's none of my business but....I don't want to stick my nose in but......" UGH - she wanted to tell me that my tenant was evicted from her apartment previous to moving in. I know she was evicted - I gave her boxes and helped her move!! If this is none of my MIL's business and if my MIL truly wants to keep her nose out of it - then don't call me. It was my MIL's precious granddaughter that didn't pay rent for a year and trashed the apartment. UGH
OK - I need to rein myself in and get back to my happy place.
Tonight: Wash all of my dress pants/jeans - I am down to my last pair and I will want jeans for the weekend. Wash a load of darks - they will dry quickly with the heat on (and add moisture to the air) Wash dishes
I have been good this week about cooking food in the fridge/freezer/cupboard and not wasting as much. DH actually ate leftovers last night.
My goal is to do maintenance type chores every day then add in a decluttering type goal. I need to think about which corner of the kitchen I will tackle. I am down to two corners (the third has DH tools and I wont touch those or get on his back to deal with them. He has 12-13 hr workdays - he can wait til the weekend. I had hoped to do under the kitchen island this week but the kitchen has been so cold!!
OK back to work for me

Good morning, been up since 6 and its now 17 after 9. 18 degrees. Brr.
I made the beds and a pot of coffee.
I did my grocery trip yesterday and got that out of the way so today is just me maintaining the daily living messiness that occurs throughout the day, dishes, spills, etc. I'll do my daily sweeping and mopping and dusting and I have one project that I am working on besides my artwork and thats my kids closets. Just reconfiguring it and putting in shelving.
Hope everyone is having a good one so far!

Good morning everypony!
ohblondie hope DS feels better soon! You are slowly but surely making progress.
twickywabbit BRR! those sound like projects that will help in the long run.
Honestly the reason I am going on this trip and having this party was to force me to take ACTION. Cause doing either wouldn't make any sense for a person who was internally motivated. Once I am in action, then the motivation comes. My energy is low, and I am moving slowly, but putting the hours in is making a difference.
This morning it took three alarms to wake me up and get out of bed. DXH did not wake up at all, so I took the cat to the vet. We are going to drop his van off for repair, and have some shopping to do. I'm hoping we can split up, as he likes to browse at the grocery store, and I like to zip through.
I need to add ingredients for mulled cider to the list.

Hi everyone. Hey where is Diane? ohblondie hope your son is better fast! Another cold one here! Up Fed kitties Drive DD to school A lovely hot shower Made bed Packed lunch Off to work I was nice and early Had a two hour meeting this morning but it was pleasant! Lots of updates and I could just sit and listen and sip my coffee. My seat mate was checking Facebook . My boss is away too so that means no urgent emails, no sudden meetings, no decisions reversed. Peace fell upon the land... I have a meeting free afternoon too! Plenty to do but mostly transactional so I’ll be able to check items off my list.

So nice to see I'm missed! When I woke up this morning, I had no internet. I just came back from my mid-day walks, and it's working at the moment, so I will get in a quick post. Comcast is coming out tonight between 5 and 7, although it's dark by then so I have no idea how they'll see what they're doing outside... I'll come back later and see if I can get on! Diane

I just finished a big house. I don't have much energy left but later I hope to bounce back. B made a fabulous chicken and potato curry. It was so good.
For 3 weeks I've been taking a menopause supplement. My gosh it works!!! Almost zero hot flashes. Incredible. It's made my job much easier and I'm fast again.
Much to do in here. I came home and ate a huge curry

Hello oust! Well, I listened to my phone messages and there was a message from Comcast saying they had an outage this morning and that might have been the cause of my problem, so if I had my service back I should call to cancel my appointment. My first thought was sure...then later today my service will go out again--I'm not convinced that my issue is fixed. However, since there was an outage that had to be the cause of today's problem, and I really don't want them to charge me for coming out (I can easily see that as something they would do) I guess I'll wait and see if I lose service again. So I called to cancel. The cables come over the roof to my front windows, so if they have to go up there I can't see them doing it when it's dark outside anyway. Okay--I will have faith that my internet will stay on and now I need to get my focus back to think of other things. There are a million things I need to do and I don't feel like doing any of them. Guess I need to push myself. TO DO: Clean up from lunch Look at pet supplies bin Put away dry dishes from yesterday 5 minutes on fridge Diane
