TA DA 10 minutes work task 2 minutes upstairs tidying Made and ate a yummy lunch! A few more minutes packing/discussing w/Mom
TO DO Unscrew a recessed bulb from ceiling upstairs Unscrew new recessed bulb in middle bathroom Screw in other bulb into bathroom ceiling - does it work? If so, new bulb needs to be returned for a new one that works. If not, something is wrong with the ceiling light, but nothing to do about it now

TA DA Figured out bulb issue - should have started with making sure new bulb was tightly screwed in, but instead did the process above and determined that the substitute bulb from another recessed outlet worked, so thought new bulb didn't work. But put it in again anyway just to be sure and this time it worked. A little precarious, but it involved balancing on the thin rim of a bathtub a few times and reaching way up to unscrew and screw big ceiling bulbs in. Yay - don't have exchange the bulb!
TO DO 5 minutes upstairs tidying 5 minutes work project Get ready to do some errands and then get them over with!

I just had a brilliant idea, courtesy of a vlogger whose latest video is about clutter-free holiday decor. I am going to visit my mother at Christmas, so in preparation I am going to make paper snowflakes and gather some conifer cones and the like. Then I'll sprinkle the things around her living room. She will love it, as only a proud mom who thinks I am artistic could. Afterward, we'll just recycle it all. I've had zero interest in seasonal decorating since my kids left home (and little interest when they were home!), but this has me excited. She does very little decorating now, but it's only because of not wanting to make a lot of effort. Washed dishes. PUPA 5 minutes. Dried and put away dishes. Shower and get dressed. Things I've been dodging: Read email from DS. Read email from U. Read email from S.

Looks like you are getting through those things you are avoiding @goldenthtreads Henshed cleaned and a bit of hen maintenance Tidied up other hall cupboard and got rid of some things Found bags for trip but I'm still missing a small lightweight backpack that is ideal for daytrips. I have not seen it in a really long time. It's probably gone. Finish going thru stuff out of cupboard so I can take it away tomorrow Prepare fresh strawberries for dessert Drink more water BTW -multi grain bread take 2 was a success

Looks like you are getting through those things you are avoiding @goldenthtreads ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BTW -multi grain bread take 2 was a success I still need to do two leftovers from yesterday. I will put them in bold print. I knew you'd figure out the adjustments to that bread. That's the great thing about experience. Good morning, people! In honor of erniethecat, who hasn't been here in a while, I waited until I had nine things done this morning. She always seemed to have about that many accomplished by the time I was awake enough to have done one. Rewashed last night's laundry; there was undissolved detergent on some items. Took out compostables. Started dishes soaking. Made bed, and had meds. Filled pill minder. Hung the okay things (no residue) on rack. Culled some papers from a zippered binder I want to use again. Transferred clothes to dryer. Did stretches. Wash dishes. Shower and get dressed. Do first step of the bureaucratic thing: read their response.

Good afternoon, guys and dolls! Lately, every time I post on the WIT thread, I end up not coming back to check in because I'm busy. So the list today is the result of yesterday. As a side note: I'm decorating this year. It gives me a reason to do all the time-consuming, don't-wanna cleaning (e.g. de-cobwebbing chair legs). It also gives me a detox every night after work because the TV is removed to make room for the crèche (aka Nativity set?) and so I sit in dim light and listen to carols or just stare at the tree. TA-DA 1. Rolled a FULL trash can to the road 2. Took out VERY heavy recycling bin 3. Put away dry clothes, dishes, and cleaning cloths 4. Put away suitcase 5. Shredded a number of documents, unsolicited applications, etc. 6. Removed dust bunnies from cords (another thing I don't notice until furniture is moved!) 1. Bring the bins back to the house 2. Lay out wet sweaters (aka jumpers) to dry 3. Put various shoes, sandals, and slippers away 1. Put away outdoor furniture 2. Planted the bulbs that I bought last week (finished after the snow began) 3. Set the gardening clothes to soaking TO DO 1. Dishes from lunch 2. Vacuum floors 3. Take out another bag of trash

I took a long time to get started... Dinner in slow cooker Planted 3 out of 6 tomato plants -then run out of fertiliser Made poached eggs and toast (with my new bread) for lunch Boiled water and made coffee with some and poured the rest on weeds in cracks in the concrete. I have spent so many pointless hours trying to stay on top of those weeds. Boiling water is the most cost effective method. The results take a while but I'm ok with that. Boil more water for weed control Shower and hair and clean bath while I'm there Start washing Visit Dad Buy more fertiliser
