Welcome to November! The guidelines for WIT are simple: - Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. ☝️ - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. - Once you have 3 things done, post them here! - Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. - You aren't required to do the 3 things you had planned on -- just get any 3 things done and then post proudly.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, or just need to break your tasks down into something manageable, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of: - Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying 😢 - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away book 📚 - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash [img title="::DHOuhrZSdWDogygTivLY:: " src="::DHOuhrZSdWDogygTivLY:: . . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE-DOM !!!
You could post: Ta-Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers Then your To-Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those 3 to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

Ta-da: Ate some leftover soup for breakfast... I needed something fast. Called doctor's office about resending medical leave forms. (urethral sling surgery scheduled for mid January) Called into CLA meeting Typed a long letter and send it out to two people to see what they think. to-do: Get the mail Laundry Do some decluttering Plant care? It's supposed to (maybe) get down into the 20's(F) around here tonight... there are still a few plants I might try to rescue before a hard freeze. I can probably let it go another week though. We are usually a degree or two warmer here on the hill with these early frosts. It's weird, we get more snow on the hills but the valleys get earlier frosts.

Ta-da: Cleaned up one section of kitchen counter Cleaned up photos on cellphone to make more space Cleared up a few random food items that were in fridge/sitting around, combining them to make new things (stuffed pepper casserole, pot pie)
To-do: Dishes (after all the cooking) Living room table declutter Make iced coffee for rest of week from leftover coffee
There is plenty more, like clean litterboxes and collect trash and put it out tonight and look for my sewing machine treadle in all my mess... but I want to stop feeling so overwhelmed. I will do those three things first and not think about all the rest of it.

Good morning WITers! I sort of fell off the wagon yesterday.
ta-da: Released chickens and fed them. I need to do a few things to winterize their coop, because the cold weather is coming... we had a light frost last night. Took out veggie scraps to compost Made and ate breakfast Moved dirty dishes from sink into dishwasher, rinsed out cat cans and wiped out sink. I had a potted plant on the back edge of the sink, and DH had knocked it over. I should probably repot it and move it somewhere else.
to-do: Laundry? I never did it yesterday CLA meeting Give cat meds. I couldn't find her when I looked for her earlier. Call vet about follow-up appointment.
This afternoon, when it is warmer: Plant care Winterize chicken coop
Sometime: I will be teaching a class at work next week. I need to finish preparing hand-outs... They are about 2/3 done. (I'd like to print them at work tomorrow, if possible.) Start to assemble bedframe that I bought for DH
I would like to get a walk in sometime.

ta-da: Prepared breakfasts for my workday tomorrow and another day (It's like overnight oats, but I use rolled barley) Also prepared 2 snacks for work (Homemade yogurt with chia and frozen berries. One is ready-to-go for tomorrow, the other one will get the berries added later. Gave cat her pill. Tried to feed her, but she isn't eating right now. DH had fed her a couple of hours ago, but it doesn't appear that she ate much of anything. She's a finicky eater and has lost weight with her hyperthyroidism. She seems to be gaining a little and eating a little better since the thyroid meds have been started. Started a load of laundry
to-do: Call into CLA meeting Continue with laundry It's sunny out. I might go out walking and maybe plogging after the meeting or this afternoon.
Continue with previously listed items. (I might work on figuring what still needs to be added to the handouts while I wait for the meeting to start.)

It is so nice to see some fellow cat lovers on here! Done: ran a laundry and dried/put it away cleaned another section of counter and ran dishwasher put some supplies away that had belonged to the foster kitten who only just passed on. Was grieving today about that (did everything I could, including feedings every 2 hrs and keeping warm, but FKS/FTT) and not in mood to do much except cry. He was so sweet, saw 2 vets about it. In the end, we couldn't get him over all his challenges. to do: cook some berries down and strain for syrup or juice fetch garbage cans down from curb put dishes away It would be nice to do a bit of sewing this evening. I deactivated social media so I could concentrate on house more. So that's two other things.

eleanora, I'm so sorry about the loss of your foster cat. DD has been involved in cat rescue, and adopted an elderly cat a few years ago named Eleanor She has a cat named Betsy as well, one of 4 kittens she bottle fed and raised a couple of years ago. I have a cat that showed up outside our house about 20 months ago. I think she had belonged to the neighbor who had passed. She is very tame, but is turning out to have lots of health issues. ta-da: Did some winterizing of the chicken coop Did some plant care, Put away some laundry I've got to close up the chicken coop, get my shower and get ready for bed. I'll be at work all day tomorrow.

I'm so sorry about your little kitty, eleanora It's very sad to loose one of the critters and not be able to do anything about it. I've been working on and off today, getting things done at a comfortable, steady pace. Not always willing, but still doing it. -refilled water bottles -2 litters scooped -working in the dining room clearing an old craft project I've not worked on since last winter. Time to get it sorted, labeled, and put in the garage instead of just working around it. todo: -more sorting work in the dining room -laundry -put more misc stuff away But first, it's tea-time again.
