well I just scrolled on the phone for an hour. mostly shower avoidance. I always feel better once I am wet! I'm also stuck trying to figure out what to wear. something to move in, not too cold, not too warm.

okay I am showered and dressed. now to figure out this project. maybe I'll set up a table, pull out all the drawer, and then fill the drawers. I will number them first.

Went to Mass with Carolyn and took donations. (collection of socks for shelter and toothpaste)
Puttered around after taking recycling out. Many boxes out.
Math book . Talk with BFF in CT.
Dailies all done. Did not fold wash YET.
My best to everyone for a good week, coming up.

desposito Diane I'm not sure how heavy the filters are but I was recently pleasantly surprised that I could send 3 lb 10 oz for $12 by using USPS regular priority mail boxes instead of the flat rate ones. I took the box opened to the counter (in case I needed to switch) and even the postal person was surprised. So if you use their packaging - you could probably get an idea of cost on USPS.com before trekking to the PO and standing in line assuming you could get an accurate weight on contents. I too always want to recycle if I can. Not sure if it is a reasonable option but sometimes shipping is waived if you sign up for a subscription and you can usually control the frequency to coordinate with your need and budget.

Hi phoenixcat, were you sending a package to somewhere close by? I looked up the flat rate priority box along with the regular priority by zip code to where I would have to send it, and the regular priority looked like it was a few dollars more expensive than the smallest flat rate box that I would be able to fit the filters in. I am shocked by how much shipping rates have gone up, of course, I'm comparing them to 20 years ago, so...

Diane - it was within the state but not close by so that may be the difference. I was curious so I plugged in the info into USPS for my package but instead sent it out of state. It was a few dollars more going USPS ground advantage as opposed to in-state priority mail - went from $12-$15. Online it says you can get tracking on it for free if you use counter service. Not available with click and pay. I send out medium and large priority mail boxes at the holidays so this is kind of good info to know. If I'm more organized - maybe I can do it by weight instead of flat rate.
